September 8, 2024 at 9:39 amAfter being there 3-months, he was coming home and communicating with sign language and saying little words to us, I was so cheerful. Before my son started the childcare centre, he never spoke or communicated in any way, and I was getting worried. Stars day childcare centre has been excellent with him and has even helped with the potty training. Thank you, guys! He now tries to communicate more and is saying more, but is sometimes hard to understand, and he gets frustrated with himself. The childcare centre has been incredible with this, and they picked up on it very quickly and have done a referral to a speaking and language therapist, he has been accepted, and they will be contacting me soon with a date to start his therapy. He has started to let us know when he needs the toilet, which is incredible. He has come a long way since starting last September, but there are some little habits of his that we need to work on and get him out of, which is proving difficult!
Overall, we are very cheerful!

When my little girl was due to start preschool, I was looking for a school that would definitely assistance her needs as she has Down syndrome so she has a developmental delay. They treat her like no other, and she’s so cheerful to wave me goodbye (she sees them as her little family). I have consistently felt like her development, speech and lots of other things have come along nicely. I appreciate everything they do for us and our little girl. Keep up the great work. Want a great preschool for your little people, please give them a ring!

Especially one lady; he couldn’t go through a day without her. She’s been incredible with him, and he truly does delight in spending his days with her!

The childcare centre has done my kid the world of great, and I will definitely be using this one again. Such an incredible childcare centre with fabulous team who consistently go above and beyond! My son has been attending this childcare centre for over a year now, and since he started, I’ve seen him progress so much. All the team are incredible, and he loves each and every one of them! I hope for my youngest to start attending late next year, and I know he would definitely adore it just as much!

He has come on so much since being here with his speech, building relationships with his peers and how to handle his emotions. Everything they do is all geared up to his educational needs for the future. It is very well run and organised. We have a excellent relationship with all the team, they all genuinely care.

December 17, 2024 at 11:58 amWhen he started, my son didn’t truly have much of an understanding, but now he is very understanding and discovering to communicate. My son is autistic and nonverbal. I was very nervous about leaving my son until I met one particular lady, honestly one of the most incredible and attentive people I’ve met. She gave me a sense of security with my son; not only is he smashing it now, but he also has an incredible bond with her, and when I tell him we’re going to childcare centre, he gets very excited to see her; he adores her, which to me, means everything.

January 1, 2025 at 9:20 amIt was a shame to lose the old manager, but we gained a new manager, whom I have a meeting with over snack time, which was resolved with a plan of action. I have twins at this childcare centre and they settled in quite quickly. One of my twins has one leader and the other has another leader, and they are both excellent with the girls. They enhance areas that need work, and again, a plan to improve; I have lots of debates in my house, with who’s leader is better than who’s. Overall, I have no issues.

January 17, 2025 at 3:01 pmTurns out she comes five days now as she just loves it. I brought my daughter (3) here with the intention of coming a few times a week just to boost her social confidence. Couldn’t be more grateful to the team that work here who bring out her little personality that you would definitely normally see just at home. You can see the improvements, and you can tell she’s just had a fun day. Would definitely suggest this childcare centre.

My son joined in September 2022. He has excellent assistance from his key worker and buddy, and we are consistently informed about his day when we come to pick him up.

My daughter is very close with her key person. As she is a quiet and shy little girl, her key person has been incredible at making a bond with her. Also, I adore to see how many new things she is discovering in the childcare centre, which will be a great help starting a big school in September. I am more than cheerful with Dogsthorpe Stars Pre-School. Big thank you to the team.

This childcare centre has a excellent bunch of team who go out of their way to make the kids welcome and they consistently seem to put in excellent efforts into their development. I would definitely like to say a big thank you to all the team who work so hard and have settled my little girl at Dogsthorpe. “I go to Dogsthorpe”. The team are truly great with her, helping with her eating as she is a fussy eater. She has learnt a lot from there and comes homes and repeats everything they sing and say and talk about her friends.

My little one has been coming to Stars Pre-School since mid-January after numerous problems I encountered trying to get him a place within another setting. My son was a lockdown baby and has consistently been with myself so it was very distressing for myself and him for the first few weeks when having to part. The whole team have been fantastic, and now he is thriving under the care of the stars team. Thanks so much. Would absolutely suggest to anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy childcare centre.
