Our role as a school is to help them to find, learn and explore what makes them exceptional so that they can go on to live their very best life.

This sounds easy to say, but it is much harder to do. That is why we are so proud of our outstanding staff who are dedicated to giving each one of our pupils an education that they enjoy, are inspired by and thrive in. Alongside what happens in the classroom, we also offer a range of exciting creative, sporting, leadership and environmental opportunities.

Our school is not only known for its academic achievements but also for our vibrant and diverse community. We appreciate and acknowledge the richness of our differences, but also celebrate what we can achieve when we work together. That is what makes Oldfield Brow Primary School such a special place.

The teaching team are outstanding – expert but welcoming and obviously adore being around kids. I sense that both of my kids learnt a lot during their time there but, importantly, enjoyed being there and actually looked forward to going. I recall one morning when my son was upset when I left him and a little later on I received a phone call from the Childcare centre to say that he was fine and not to worry – that stopped my fretting and I knew he was in great hands. I would thoroughly suggest. I had a very positive journey with the Childcare centre when I sent my daughter there and was cheerful enough to send my son when it was his turn.

Team have helped him settle in really quickly. The childcare centre have been quick to understand my son’s strengths and development areas, and their professionalism is a step up from what we saw at our private childcare centre. Having their own outdoor space to themselves has meant he isn’t overawed by the presence of much older kids. My son has really enjoyed the transition from private childcare centre into Oldfield Brow.

He started off as quite a shy, reluctant kid, still having accidents during the day to now being the most outgoing, confident little boy. They really worked well with his strengths but also helped massively with areas he was struggling in. My elder son, who is now eight, also attended this childcare centre, outstanding then too. He still talks about his time here now! Wouldn’t send my kid anywhere else. Two members of team, in particular, are both exceptional, 100% comfortable leaving my pride and joy in their care! My son attended Oldfield Brow Primary School Childcare centre in September 2021-2022, I could not suggest this childcare centre enough.

The best thing about the childcare centre are the educators who are inviting and attentive and have created a nurturing and imaginative setting for the kids to learn in. The classroom is bright and full of discovering areas and resources. They have a large outside space including a track for pedal cars, a mud kitchen and a sandpit. Each week they cover a new topic which they use to develop new skills and discovering opportunities. I sense included in what my son is doing at childcare centre and know how he is progressing. I sense he’s been very lucky to go there. My son has been attending Oldfield Brow Childcare centre since September and he loves going there.

The educators in the childcare centre are so inviting and welcoming and consistently greet him with the biggest smile, we sense he’s really looked after there. The facilities are incredible too, there’s a new construction zone outside and lots of really well planned and thought out activities in the classroom as well as a lovely home from home inviting feeling when you go into the room. Our little boy is really cheerful and content there, they’re also so flexible and supportive with the parents, couldn’t suggest the childcare centre enough! Sending your first kid to school is a really daunting journey, but from day one our little boy has loved going to the childcare centre at Oldfield Brow.

After the disruption of covid, it was excellent to see such enthusiastic team and lovely resources to help the kids prepare for school through playtime.
The childcare centre team are welcoming, provide lots of feedback and have held events for us to visit and look at the childcare centre facilities in more detail and see what our little ones have been doing.
Our daughter is cheerful and confident here and I wouldn’t hesitate to suggest this setting! Our daughter has been attending this childcare centre since September 2021 and we have been delighted with the care, assistance and discovering setting at Oldfield Brow Primary School Childcare centre.

Two team members, in particular, are very inviting and compassionate with the kids and they are clearly very skilful educators. We had some concerns at my son’s previous private day childcare centre, but now he is at Oldfield Brow, he is clearly much happier and more settled. He is consistently sharing little bits of new discovering now and funny things that have happened throughout the day. It has made a big difference to him all round, to have the skilled and consistent care and nurture from everyone in the team. The outdoor provision is excellent and the classroom is a varied setting, with lots of opportunities to develop their understanding of the world and their motor skills. We have also been given well-tailored targets that our kid is working on. I would 100% suggest this childcare centre to anyone. We are so grateful that our son is so cheerful and well catered for. Thank you, everyone! I have been so cheerful with the childcare centre at Oldfield Brow.

Initially, the decision to attend Oldfield Brow Primary School Childcare centre instead of staying at the previous childcare centre was mainly for easier drop off (one drop off for two kids). However, after starting at Oldfield Brow Primary School Childcare centre, my son has grown to adore childcare centre so much that he asks to go to school even on weekends! It is especially lovely when he randomly surprises me with new learnt skills/knowledge such as counting and (partial) storytelling. The educators are very welcoming, attentive and supportive and I would highly suggest Oldfield Brow Primary School Childcare centre! I am so glad that I’ve put my second kid in Oldfield Brow Primary School Childcare centre.

From the application process, to information evenings and settling in days the school and team have been incredible. Nothing has been too much trouble and my partner and I were made to sense at ease sending our little boy here.
Our son has settled and slotted in to childcare centre/pre-school life perfectly thanks to the foundations the school have given him. He runs in to childcare centre each morning full of enthusiasm, ready to see his friends. To say he adores the team would be an understatement, he talks about them constantly at home asking if we think they would like certain things etc and picking daisies for them to say thank you.
The childcare centre has had an extension and fabulous makeover over the summer. The space is nice and open with a modern sense whilst maintaining a cosy setting for the kids to learn in. It’s tastefully decorated and takes on the curiosity approach to discovering using natural resources where possible. I can’t suggest this childcare centre highly enough.

They greet all the kids in the morning with a lovely smile, making it easier for the kids to go in. There are so many things for the kids to do and explore and they are given many opportunities. My daughter has learnt so much in the last couple of months since starting the childcare centre and tells me about her day every night.
They have an incredible outdoor space for the kids to explore, and the inside is just as incredible, with many things for the kids to do. This is such a lovely and welcoming childcare centre, my daughter loves the team.

Spending much effort on my kid and designing the most suitable teaching schedule for my kid. I have a direct way to discuss with educators. The educators are really nice and take care of my kid whose first language is not English.

I was a bit anxious when my son started as he was unsure on how to be around other kids, he had a few incidents at the start where he wasn’t very nice to some of the kids. The team were very understanding and very supportive with ways to help him behave better, he now plays nicely and has had no incidents for weeks. He has also made some friends and loves going every day he is consistently so excited to do new things as there are many things for the kids to explore and learn at the childcare centre. This is a very welcoming childcare centre and the team are extremely welcoming.

Consistently go above and beyond to help the little ones sense comfortable and included. Lots of excellent activities each day- both educational and enjoyable! My kid has really come out of her shell since starting and the team have really helped her build her self‑assurance. Would definitely suggest! Very compassionate and considerate team.

I was nervous sending my daughter to childcare centre as she is very shy. All my worries vanished as she was welcomed by the educators. It’s a lovely nurturing setting with lovely outside space.
My daughter learned so many practical skills and her interests were consistently supported.
I was kept up to date with her development and she left with a strong foundation for ‘big’ school, but more importantly, she was cheerful to be there! This is a fantastic childcare centre.
