Godmanchester pre-school is managed by the Early Years Alliance, an educational charity which provides flexible, affordable and quality childcare across England.
Our pre-school childcare service located in Godmanchester, Cambridgeshire. We offer 48 Ofsted-registered places.
The setting has become increasingly busy since our opening and currently some sessions are full to staff ratio, we review our places frequently and admit new children as places become available.
Our committed, friendly and well-qualified pre-school team provides high quality care and learning opportunities for children aged between two to four years.

February 10, 2022 at 12:00 amMy child is going through a lot of change, and just becoming a big sister I thought she would be quite unsettled with the new staff coming in and familiar faces leaving but they have been amazing at making it feel comfortable for the children and she is as happy as ever going into school each day. She’s also coming on leaps and bounds with her learning and writing. So happy with them all, amazing staff!

February 10, 2022 at 12:00 amReally fantastic staff, we have had two children go to this preschool now and they have managed each one’s needs brilliantly- one with allergies and one with very complex needs. They couldn’t have been more adaptive and responsive to each child.

February 10, 2022 at 12:00 amOur daughter started at the pre-school in September 2021 and at first, found it very difficult being left somewhere new. The staff were tremendously supportive of her anxieties and settling in process which meant she settled relatively quickly and is now happy and relaxed at the preschool. The staff are all friendly and approachable and seem genuinely invested in the children. The activities and facilities they provide are brilliant and our daughter always comes home happy. There’s not a lot more we could ask for from a pre-school.

February 15, 2022 at 12:00 amA good setting, my daughter likes going there and enjoys spending time there. I only ever had one small concern, which I haven’t addressed with the staff, so cannot vote negatively. The staff seem nice and friendly and my daughter says they are helpful.

April 28, 2022 at 12:00 amI cannot speak highly of all the staff – especially one lady. When my little boy is feeling down or not quite himself, she will always go the extra mile for him. She really is a credit to the pre-school and my son adores her.

May 11, 2022 at 12:00 amThe staff are amazing, they really nurture the children and my daughter has come on leaps and bounds since being there. The communication from staff to parents is great too. There is a wide and varied range of activities for the children to do each day.

May 12, 2022 at 12:00 amA very good place to place your children in. Recommend to all parents. My daughter is happy when going there. A bit busy when you have to pick up your child but probably it’s normal everywhere. Looking forward to seeing how it will be from September for the full six hours.

I would be happier if the bad behaviour of some children was controlled in a more effective way but overall I am glad I have chosen this setting for my daughter.

She adores her keyworker and they are great with her allergies and medication. So happy with sending her and she asks me to do more days and gets sad if it’s a day she doesn’t have preschool.

June 1, 2022 at 12:00 amMy daughter has been at the preschool for eighteen months and she loves it so much, she goes every day. Her confidence has grown so much since attending. The staff are amazing with her and so friendly and helpful when we see them. The building is so lovely and open, so many wonderful areas for the children to explore different things they chose to do. Lots of options to go outside and lots of new toys too. They really encourage independence in their everyday activities. I would recommend this preschool so much.

Good activities are being organised for the development of children. Everything is great. We are very pleased, I hope everything continues very well for the children.

May 18, 2023 at 12:00 amMy boy really enjoys going to preschool, he seems to have great relationships with the teachers and other children. He is happy to go in and comes out telling me that he had a fun day. I will be increasing his hours now I know he really enjoys it.

June 8, 2023 at 12:00 amMy son has been going to the pre-school since September 2021. He had no problems settling in and has always looked forward to going to pre-school.
They do lovely activities with the children such as baking, gardening and crafts.
Recently they have duckling eggs hatch while they are learning about spring, such lovely experiences for the children.
He has remained with the same key worker for the whole time so I like how there is a consistent routine and they can develop a good relationship.
My son’s vocabulary and numeracy really improved quickly after starting and has continued to flourish.
The management and staff have helped support my son who finds alot of food challenging. This was one of my main concerns in starting at pre-school but they have been supportive and helped build his confidence in eating in the setting. For which we are very grateful. All the staff are friendly.
We have already registered for his sibling to start next year.

The preschool is beautiful, big, always clean and full with cheerful faces.
We can’t wait for our little one to start in September, as this is our second child going into the preschool.
