Busy Bees Dundee Hospital

My daughter has been attending since just after her first birthday and she adores it there. She is cheerful and extremely well cared for. She is exposed to a huge variety of stimulating activities and has made lots of friends. The team are fantastic and attentive and it is clear to see that they are there for the adore of the job and that they really care about all of the kids. This childcare centre came highly recommended by colleagues and friends and it is easy to see why. I would not send my daughter anywhere else, and I can get on with a day’s work, secure in the knowledge that my daughter is having a fantastic time – and that she will tell me all about it as best she can for a nearly two-year-old when I pick her up! Teddy Bear is an absolutely outstanding childcare centre.

They are regularly updating activities to benefit the kids and are so kid focussed. My little boy loves it here and all the team know him by name and show a genuine interest in his development and emotions. I get a thorough description of his day on arrival and have been made aware of care plans and goals that they hold for him. I sense so secure and secure knowing he’s here when I am at work. The team are remarkable and are so keen. Teddy bear childcare centre is genuinely remarkable.

I contacted the manager the next day and my concerns were dealt with satisfactorily. My kid is very cheerful there and the team are excellent. They get a excellent variety of food. I like how they are consistently keen on getting the kids outside too. The only negative comment would be when you phone up you often get the answer phone and have to wait until someone calls you back. My kid went in for settling in days and I was not cheerful with the room they were to be in.

We have found the team to be compassionate and genuinely affectionate towards the kids. There is great documentation of their activities and development, and the standard of the food is outstanding. They also get a lot of time playing outdoors.
I would suggest this childcare centre. Both our kids have attended/are attending The Teddy Bear Childcare centre Club and we are very cheerful with the care they have received.

It was no surprise and with no hesitation that I would put my second kid there. My second kid now goes to Busy Bees West and I can honestly say the care again is the best. We joined the childcare centre in Covid times. The manager is very accomodating, very approachable and shows care and compassion not only to your kid but parents too. I often see her in the room/garden playing and interacting with the kids which is lovely to see. The team in the room that care for my kid are the best. Inviting, engaging, informative, attentive – the list can go on. The discovering and facilities are excellent and the new app lets you see your kid’s day. I can go to work knowing my kid is loved and secure by everyone in that childcare centre. Oh, and the food is incredible! My first kid attended this childcare centre in 2013-2017 and the care was outstanding.

The activities for my kid were stimulating and focused on her discovering. The team had great feedback at end of the night about my kid’s day. Great use of outdoor space, she was out in all weathers, the way it should be. My kid attended this childcare centre for 4 years, the level of care given by team and management was excellent.

Having viewed a total of 5 Nurseries in Dundee, It was the initial sense of the place, the helpfulness of the team and the positive inspection report that drew me to choosing this Childcare centre in the end. She has been there for a few months now and I could not rate the Childcare centre highly enough. Based in the Koala room, the Senior room Manager is both highly competent and approachable; my daughter seemed to build a relationship with her very quickly which gave me so much self‑assurance that she was settling in well. Her key worker is also very approachable and is genuinely interested in how my daughter is doing when I drop her off. Her key worker had completed my Kid’s plan in a matter of days which I found both very supportive and reassuring. Overall, my journey with this Childcare centre has been extremely positive and I know she is getting the level of care that I would want for her. As a new mother, I was extremely anxious about placing my daughter in Childcare centre as I returned to work.

We have used this childcare centre for all three of our kids and are extremely cheerful with the care they have received there.

The team are lovely and welcoming and keep you well informed on their daily activities.
The food is outstanding as the kids are served a variety of meals.
I would highly suggest this childcare centre to friends and family. My kid has only had 5 sessions with the childcare centre and has settled in so well.

Recently, I have removed both my kids from this setting as I was so unhappy with the level of care received. I felt no attention at all was being paid to nurturing the development of the kid. At pick up, it was difficult to get most team to give any more information about the day than what the kid had eaten. Very few activities seemed to be set up to assistance discovering (none were being reported to us) and no anecdotes were being shared about things my kid had done/said (in contrast to what had happened in the younger rooms). An online system was set up to share photos/details of the kid’s day, but it was rarely updated (weeks or up to a month would go by with nothing). When I received my kid’s discovering journal when they left (after repeatedly asking for it), it only contained observations and discovering assistance plans for one of the four years they attended. My older kid attended this childcare centre for four years and, while in the younger rooms, I was cheerful with the level of care.
