Yellow Penguin Nursery

I genuinely can’t think of anything bad to say about Yellow Penguin. He treasures attending and has developed good attachment to the practitioners and has made lots of friends with his peers. The safeguarding is good, the building is modern and protected, the fees are reasonable, contact between crew and parents is good. They have fun days in which they have fancy dress competitions and they have lots of activities for the kids. I was nervous that it would be a big transition and he would not like it, but the Yellow Penguin team were excellent in making the transition easy and my young lad settled in really fast. The focus on preschool education is great and my young lad is developing all the core skills he needs for starting school in September. My young lad has been attending Yellow Penguin Nursery since August 2022 after we relocated to Birmingham. The food is nutritious and tasty, my boy always tells us that the food at early‑years hub is great. I encourage parents looking for a new childcare centre to see for themselves.

He has come on leaps and bounds since starting. This was one of the truly few we actually felt comfortable leaving my little one. The team is great with him and he would happily stay overnight if he could. His speech has better and his even eating new foods. Could not ask for a better establishment. Glad we managed to secure a place. We really struggled to find a place for our little one to go to.

They really took the time to help my young lady settle in and I feel like they gave the 1 to 1 assistance she needed. I wholeheartedly advocate this nursery setting. I have intentionally waited a few months before I submitted my review. The first few weeks she cried daily, but the nursery setting really supported me in the transition and even suggested that I change from full day to half day for the first couple of weeks. For a central Birmingham based childcare centre, the cost is exceptionally reasonable and you won’t get anything cheaper for the level and quality of this childcare centre in Birmingham. My little one started back in November and I was truly worried as she had not spent much time away from me or her father, but the nursery setting crew made me feel so comfortable and reassured that she would be fine. She always has a smile on her face as soon as she sees any of them, especially her key worker. Now my girl goes in running as soon as she sees the nursery setting and she enjoys all the team. The improvement in my little one is remarkable.

They always have a smile on their faces during drop off and pick up and are really welcoming to my kid. The induction process was a little disappointing as it required me to chase the setting several times for start dates, session times etc. My young lady has settled in really well and the personnel who care for her are fantastic. The updates on the app is great and the key workers send us lots of updates about her day, what activities she’s enjoyed and how she’s eaten. Three crew members in particular are fantastic! She is really becoming more self‑assured and looks forward to going to early‑years hub every day to see her friends. They’re able to tell me what activities she’s enjoyed during the session and it feels like my little one is really cared for at Yellow Penguin which is really reassuring as a parent! My young lady has been at Yellow Penguins for just over a month.

I can’t thank the nursery setting enough. Love that the app provided by the early‑years hub allows me to stay updated on my son’s activities throughout the day. I was worried when my little one first started but he has adapted so well. My little one and myself both treasure this nursery setting. The nursery setting is always spotless, the food menu is incredible. The personnel are fantastic with the youngsters and parents.

It puts my mind at ease whilst at work knowing that my little one is being looked after by great personnel and I know he is in safe hands. It’s a extremely nice environment and crew communicate effectively on how my son’s day has been. He has learned so much and developed his social skills since attending the childcare centre. All crew members are so lovely and are remarkable with the kids. 100% advocate this nursery setting! My young lad adores coming to this early‑years hub! I always pick him up with a big smile on his face and great feedback.

I would suggest the early‑years hub to anyone who’s looking for a nursery setting for their kids to try this one. One of the best nursey in Birmingham and the personnel are extremely accommodating.

For example in the evening handovers are always given in full detail which is what I appreciate the most! Overall, this is a trustworthy nursery setting that always goes the extra mile to ensure that all little ones are getting the most out of their absorbing and games. In addition, correspondence is always at a high standard. My girl has reached her developmental milestones and more through the activities, teaching and assistance from Yellow Penguins. A wonderful childcare centre with crew members who are genuine, polite and encouraging.

From our initial conversations to the first visit, it set a benchmark that was not raised by any other nursery setting we visited. We looked at several nurseries, with Yellow Penguin being first on our list. She is cheerful when we pick her up, the personnel are wonderful with her and understanding, flexible and accommodating of her needs. While there have been occasions where our girl has been upset (as will any kid) she has formed a extremely close bond with her primary carer and other mentors in her pre-school group. Yellow Penguin provide our young lady with a stimulating and caring space that we are comfortable leaving her in. It was a place that all three of us immediately took to. It takes the worry out of your day knowing one of the most important people in your life is being extremely well cared for. Our little one immediately felt at home with and welcomed by and curious about Yellow Penguin, its team, other little ones and its resources, more so here than at any other childcare centre.

Wonderful personnel. Rooms are spacious and have a decent number of kids and they are not too congested. I would advocate this daycare. Good premises. I have seen improvements in my little one after enrolling in this daycare.
