July 13, 2022 at 12:00 amI have had 3 children in this nursery and still currently have 2 at this nursery. Having previously been at a much larger nursery with arguably more facilities, I would choose Westwards Nursery School over that one without a doubt. The care has been excellent and the staff turnover minimal – it is obvious to me that the staff are very happy there. Happy staff equals happy children. The staff are very warm and friendly and seem to genuinely care. My children have always come home very happy and fulfilled and I have never had any doubt that they are being looked after so well. I couldn’t recommend Westwards Nursery School more. I’ll be so sad when the youngest leaves.

July 14, 2022 at 12:00 amMy son has been at Westwards Nursery School for almost 2 years. He has been happy every day going to nursery and we know that he is well taken care of each and every day. The food is great and very well balanced, the staff are kind and so affectionate. I couldn’t rate it highly enough.

July 21, 2022 at 12:00 amWe are delighted with the service Westwards nursery provides for our children. The staff are fantastic, the children are always busy doing lots of different activities and our children are always very happy when we pick them up. The food they provide is fantastic and they put a lot of effort into changing their menu weekly. We love the fun, friendly and caring atmosphere Westwards provides.

July 21, 2022 at 12:00 amAbsolutely outstanding care provided. My daughter is so settled and at home at Westwards! The staff go above and beyond. The nursery communicate extremely well with family. A wide range of activities is available for children and lots of engaging trips into the local community.

July 29, 2022 at 12:00 amMy older child has attended Westwards Nursery School since he was a baby and is about to leave to go to school. His younger sister is now in the baby room. I chose Westwards within a few minutes of walking into the building. The gentle care that the staff clearly showed towards the children was immediately evident and the environment was calm and nurturing. From sensory play, music, local trips, activities focused on the children’s interests, forest school and outdoor provision, and recently school transition, Westwards has given my children the best start. They both love attending and my older child speaks enthusiastically about the things he has been doing at nursery. All the staff know and genuinely care for the children and have come to feel like an extension of our family.

July 29, 2022 at 12:00 amWestwards Nursery School is a fabulous nursery, we looked around a few and they ticked all of the boxes. The staff are friendly, always approachable and give informative handovers at the end of the day. The children gets lots of outdoor time and experiences at forest school when older. My child comes home and zonks everyday after collection for an hour. The food there is of really good standards always something different on offer, seconds and sometimes thirds go down well.

July 29, 2022 at 12:00 amCouldn’t recommend Westwards Nursery enough. Every member of staff is so kind, gentle and understanding towards every child’s needs. There’s such a lovely feel as soon as you enter Westwards and you know they’re in safe hands. They are so generous in all they do for the children and go above and beyond to arrange special trips out of the nursery, summer parties, forest school and trips to the park, to name a few. The food they provide for the children is also fantastic. Healthy, nourishing food and such care and attention invested in creating delicious, varied menus every week. Having visited and tried other nurseries, none compare to Westwards.

August 1, 2022 at 12:00 amThere are not enough words to describe how wonderful this nursery is. It is a nursery that supports the whole family not just the children.
I was terrified about sending my little girl to nursery. She started just before her birthday in the Sunshine room. I had nothing to worry about, the staff are incredible! They have such genuine care for the children. After a year in that room, my daughter was ready to move up to the Rainbow Room, both my daughter and I had built up a great relationship with the staff and I was sad to move to the next room. I had no need to worry, the Rainbow room staff were just as amazing. They too are so kind with never-ending patience and energy.
Every member of the nursery staff knows each child and each child’s individual needs. It is a kind, happy and safe place where I know my daughter will be looked after. They support and nurture each child in their unique development.
I drop my daughter off in the morning knowing she will have a good day.

August 1, 2022 at 12:00 amI would highly recommend Westwards Nursery School. What stands out are a few things;
1. The fantastic staff! Staff turnover is low, morale is high and they go above and beyond to provide a welcoming and nurturing environment for the children. I also very much appreciate the wide experience of the staff; some have been there for over 10 years and some are newly trained. The diversity is fantastic and builds a real element of trust for both parents and children.
2. The innovative, creative and lovely activities the children do each and everyday. The staff pick up on the interests of the children and tailor the activities around this. During Wimbledon they took the children to play tennis and eat strawberries, they go to museums, visit parks and create spa days when it’s hot. The variety and creativity is brilliant!
3. The amazing food! You cannot beat it! It’s so nice knowing your children are always well nourished.
I couldn’t be happier with the excellent care Westwards provide!

August 1, 2022 at 12:00 amMy friend recommended Westwards to me and I was glad that I made a completely right choice. My son loves all the staff, especially his key person, who is super nice and patient with his demands. The nursery arranges a lot of outdoor activities as long as the weather is not bad. The children have chances to go shopping in the market, play in different playgrounds, to visit museums and even farms. I could not recommend Westwards Nursery School more.

August 1, 2022 at 12:00 amWestwards is an excellent nursery. Our eldest son attended from 1-year-old through to going to school and Westwards supported him, and us, every step of the way. Their preparation for Reception is second-to-none; they supported us with toilet habits and dressing and undressing for PE, among many other things, which stood him in very good stead. Our youngest son is still there and the staff know him really well. He has firm friendships that are encouraged and they have developed his interests carefully – they hold him, and all the children, in very high regard. We’ve lived in Loughborough for nearly 10 years and we meet people frequently whose grown-up children attended Westwards. We’ve never heard a bad word about the place!

August 1, 2022 at 12:00 amWe have two children at the nursery with our eldest attending for over three years. The nursery and their staff put the children at the centre of everything they do, which is one of the reasons why we picked them. Their child-led approach means that the Early Years Foundation Stage framework they follow is taught alongside the interests of the children. The nursery’s forest school is fantastic, our son always enjoys the sessions in the nursery’s dedicated woodland space and at the nature reserves they have visited. The nursery’s nativity play was even set in the forest school woodland – so despite Covid shutting down indoor venues, the ‘show went on’ and was a memorable experience. In short, it’s a difficult thing trusting others you don’t know to care for your young children. But Westwards, with their caring staff and home-cooked food, melted away those fears pretty quickly. We would unreservedly recommend them – and we do – to anyone.

August 1, 2022 at 12:00 amMy little one has been attending this nursery since they were 1 (now 3 years old) and they absolutely love going! Every day asking “Are we going to nursery today?” Westwards has a home-from-home feel, all the staff have been so amazing, encouraging and always providing a happy, welcoming environment and have been a big part of their life, going 4 days a week for the past 2 years. Lots of activities and play every day and I love the fact that they take the children out so much, be it in the garden area, for little walks into town or to the park. Preschool children get to attend Forest School which my little one is particularly excited about starting when they go up to preschool soon! Absolutely recommend Westwards Nursery, such a great place to watch your child bloom.

August 1, 2022 at 12:00 amFab nursery with amazing staff. My son loves it and is always very excited to go and he regularly talks about the nursery and the staff when at home. The staff are always polite, caring and very helpful and have a very close bond with the children which is lovely to see. Would highly recommend sending your child here.

August 1, 2022 at 12:00 amMy son started Westwards Nursery School in June 2022 and he has settled in really well and thoroughly enjoys it. The staff are really friendly and welcoming. My daughter attended the preschool from August 2020 to August 2021 and loved it. She especially loved the forest school. The year in preschool really helped develop her confidence and social skills before school.

August 1, 2022 at 12:00 amI searched far and wide when looking for a nursery for my daughter and, having been part of the Westwards family for over 2 years now, I have never looked back. I’d go as far to say this is one of the best nurseries and I would wholeheartedly recommend Westwards to anyone. From the friendly and welcoming staff, excellent indoor and outdoor facilities, education and learning style to the on-site home-cooked meals – I can’t fault them. My daughter is so happy and has come on leaps and bounds in her development and has formed great relationships with all of the practitioners, as well as other children. Communication with the nursery is fantastic – I always get a detailed overview of her day upon pick up and the nursery staff are all very approachable and welcome new ideas/suggestions from parents. Westwards really is a home from home with amazing staff and a wonderful atmosphere.

August 1, 2022 at 12:00 amWe started our journey with Westwards Nursery School back in 2017 with our first child, he is now at school and our second child is currently in Westwards Nursery School. I cannot begin to put into words how amazing we have found Westwards. The staff are always so friendly and they cannot do enough to help. My boys have and continue to love going to nursery, they do amazing activities and play. I couldn’t recommend it enough. I will be very sad when my second child leaves but so pleased that Westwards has been a part of their lives. 10/10 Westwards.

August 1, 2022 at 12:00 amWe could not recommend Westwards Nursery School highly enough. We moved our son here due to the flexible hours and availability for more days in pre-school. The staff have been so welcoming and kind, they work hard to get to know each child and cater for individuals’ needs. Communication is excellent and updates are regular. Our son has enjoyed many trips, activities and role-play/messy play sessions. Our son will miss pre-school when he starts school but our baby will be joining and we can’t wait for his Westwards journey to start.

August 2, 2022 at 12:00 amWestwards Nursery School is exactly what I wanted for my children, a small, homely environment where I know they get not only the care and attention but the stimulation as well. From the staff to the food and activities including Forest School I couldn’t recommend it more highly.
