Tops Day Nurseries: Lakeside Nursery

My daughter has been at Lakeside for around a month. She started at 8 months old and she is my first baby so naturally, I was petrified of her going to nursery when I returned to work. The staff in the Explorers room are amazing, each one of them were able to greet my daughter by name by her second session. Everyone seems to love being at work and really enjoy spending time with the children.
My daughter loves being at nursery and is always happy and content when I go to pick her up. The menu for food is incredible and the variety of activities is wonderful. So far, every session has been different and engaging. I love the Eylog system and getting the photo updates when I’m at work really helps to reassure me. I also really look forward to reading her daily diary which tells me everything about her day. I honestly can’t fault Lakeside Tops. I feel confident in leaving my daughter there as I know she will be safe, cared for and her development is as crucial to the staff as it is to me.

My daughter enjoyed her time at Tops, Lakeside immensely and felt safe and happy there. She built friendships with the other children and trusing relationships with the nursery workers who she still talks about with fondness now she has started school. I would thoroughly recommend Tops, Lakeside and encourage my friends and colleagues to consider Tops, Lakeside for their children. Definitely a ‘top’ nursery!

Our little boy started coming to Tops Lakeside in June 2020 when he was 10 months old, it was a worrying time for him to be away from us during the pandemic but the staff were excellent and put our minds at ease straight away. (Especially his room manager). Our son loves going into nursery and doesn’t look back once he’s in. He’s so well looked after and always comes home happy, smiling and full of the delicious food they give him! I have no worries as a parent about leaving him there and feel confident that he’s in the best hands. He has come on leaps and bounds with his mobility, skills and speech. Thanks to all the Tops Lakeside staff for your great work!

We initially chose to view Tops nurseries due to the flexible booking option, and the Lakeside setting we viewed really stood out to us for all the natural light and open space. Since starting at 10-months, now 21-months, our little one has flourished. She calls all the staff her friends and is a very happy girl on nursery days. The staff are very helpful and friendly, and clearly know our little one’s likes, dislikes, strengths and areas to work on. Their procedures during Covid have been efficient, and I would definitely recommend Lakeside.

My son loves attending. I asked him if he was looking forward to school in September 2021. He said “no I want to stay at preschool mummy.” I think that sums it up. I’m a single, full time essential worker. There’s no chance I could have made it through the lockdowns in the last year without the nurseries support. The teachers are beyond kind and caring. I’m able to book last minute hours on the day if I need them and at a reduced price. The flexibility is incredible. Throughout the pandemic they have gone above and beyond in terms of protecting my son and all the children. Frankly, I can’t fault them.

My son’s communication and language has improved significantly since starting attending Tops Lakeside. He is always happy when going to nursery. He has also developed good friendships which is positively impacting his personal social and emotional development. Thank you all so much for your support and care of my little boy.

Such a great nursery. I love the whole eco values that the nursery holds and feel like it would be invaluable for any child. The activities that they do are all brilliant teaching children values and life skills from such an early age.
The staff have all been brilliant, approachable, friendly, and all great with the children. My son didn’t want to leave after just a week of attending.
It is great that they give a variety of healthy dishes for the children to eat with no added sugar and also from weaning stages.
Another great feature of this nursery is the flexible bookings so you only have to pay a minimum of 6 hours per week which is great when on holidays.
Overall one of the best nurseries that I visited and can’t recommend it enough.

Tops is a fantastic nursery. I’m so glad my daughter had the opportunity to go there before going to school and that my son still does. The staff are so kind and gentle and go above and beyond for the children on a daily basis. We love the fact that Tops is an eco nursery, especially as it meant my son could continue wearing reusable nappies at nursery as well as at home due to Tops fully supporting this and even washing and drying my son’s nappies at the nursery! When my daughter had to leave Tops to go to school she was really sad, not just about leaving her friends but also the staff. Tops offers their holiday club which my daughter has been to during half term and really enjoyed it. Their flexible booking system is amazing. I can book the exact hours I need just one week before and the staff have always been so helpful and tried to fit my son in if I’ve had last-minute changes to my work schedule. My son and daughter have both flourished going to Tops. Thank you!

My boy absolutely loves going to nursery. The staff are fantastic and he loves them, to the point where if he doesn’t want to get dressed in the morning I name the staff and some of his friends there and then he gets dressed straight away! There are so many different activities to keep him entertained and they go outside every day, weather depending, which he loves. The app is brilliant and it’s really nice to see pictures of my little one enjoying himself when his family isn’t there with him. The staff are very caring, about the whole family as well as the children and very supportive and knowledgeable. Thank you for looking after my boy so well, it’s really reassuring knowing he’s in such good hands.
