September 17, 2024 at 12:49 pmAt first I was worried with how he would settle as he has never left me, however the team do so well with keeping him occupied. The updates through the app is exceptional as I can see clearly what he has eaten for the day, his nap times, and any photos of the day. The team is so welcoming and consistently cheerful to answer any questions I have. Will absolutely suggest to family and friends to come here. My son has attended Tops Day Nurseries: Christchurch for around 2 months now and he loves every minute of it.

September 23, 2024 at 1:54 amMy son is 3 years old and he is non-verbal and autistic and I was very afraid to leave him away from me. But the childcare centre gave me a lot of security about that and every day I am more in adore with the team, the care, the attention and the affection they give our son makes us sense secure and confident that we made the right choice in letting him go to Tops Day Childcare centre. I am very cheerful and every day I sense that he is really enjoying going to the childcare centre and overcoming its challenges. I am very cheerful that my son can attend Tops Day Childcare centre in Christchurch.

October 6, 2024 at 9:20 pmMy kid however comes out of childcare centre really dirty and considering it is just after lunch it makes me wonder if they wash their hands before meals or at all. Admin are pretty demanding and the charges are extremely expensive, I have been told contradicting information about charges. I would not send a smaller baby to Tops but sense it is OK for toddlers. The flexibility is the main reason my kid is there. The team seem to be very attentive and welcoming and the facilities are great.

November 6, 2024 at 5:55 pmWe were concerned about sending him in due to Covid, but being a nurse it was essential. The safety measures in place are reassuring as are the group bubbles. My son enjoys going and loves the team who are very dedicated. My son has been going for nearly three years and is due to start school in September.

November 28, 2024 at 3:33 pmI sadly had some very stressful times, just as my son started childcare centre in April. They have gone above and beyond to help and even been there to call in for a chat!
My son is thriving there and I adore that they get as much time outside as they like. My son is very much an outdoor kid and loves playing in the garden.
They are also very accommodating to his needs and helping to monitor for potential neurodivergence, as we are having issues at home.
Although I loved his previous setting I’m so glad we changed to tops, was definitely meant to be. The childcare centre team have been incredible.

December 13, 2024 at 3:27 pmInflexible in changing the booking process after 2 sessions showing needs analysis not identified and not supportive in assisting me to change costing me money. 2 lots of lost property (eventually resolved), over the phone exaggerations on well-being, wet nappy left in childcare centre bag. Management offered the standard complaint responses of more training and improvements for the future. First time sending a 5-month-old baby to childcare centre, who’s now at a different setting and have had the opposite journey, telling me I was right in knowing this childcare centre is not set up for babies. Avoid. Do not send your baby here.

January 10, 2025 at 7:07 pmThe team are wonderfully supportive. They are easy to contact and are superbly flexible which is useful for both parents in the NHS. The hours are excellent and only chargeable up to 15 minutes. Covid has unfortunately shortened the times but hopefully these will expand soon. Both of my kids have attended here and my third will too in the new year. We have been attending this childcare centre for almost 3 years and can’t suggest it more! Exceptional childcare centre.

January 11, 2025 at 7:24 pmI can honestly say this is the best childcare centre any of my four kids have attended. He is cheerful every day to go in and has made outstanding relationships with all the team and kids. The team go above and beyond with their care and attention. Even recently spotted the signs of a serious illness and acted promptly, resulting in my son avoiding a hospital trip. The updates is outstanding and I can see photos and videos of what he is doing with his friends. They are frequently doing different activities and he loves to tell me about his day. Highly recommended! My son has attended Tops in Christchurch for nearly 18 months.

January 29, 2025 at 6:44 pmThe new manager has really injected enthusiasm and positivity after a period of instability (some of which was inevitable post-lockdown and Brexit). There is a inviting, inclusive atmosphere and the team are consistently smiling and hard-working. I really adore the focus on being outdoors and really appreciate the trips out in the local area. Ultimately, I know that my son is secure and well looked after.
My one small issue would be with updates, although I do think there is a focus on improving this and the social media updates are lovely to see. The promised weekly observations on the app haven’t quite materialised but they are lovely to receive when completed and I do appreciate they take up practitioner time.
I do absolutely suggest the childcare centre and the flexibility is incredibly supportive. My son has attended Tops Day Nurseries: Christchurch since he was around 18 months old and is now in the preschool room.

February 7, 2025 at 12:36 amThe team work hard and it is a cheerful and secure setting. Thank you Tops for cheerful memories! It’s nice to see cards and artwork made on special occasions. The food has been nice and varied. My daughter has enjoyed the menu! My daughter has been attending Tops for three years and I’ve never been disappointed.

February 27, 2025 at 7:40 amShe has been going just over a year and consistently comes home cheerful, with stories of what happened. She has made great friends. The app is invaluable to keep me up to date with her development and see pictures of her. My daughter loves Tops Day Nurseries: Christchurch Childcare centre.

March 7, 2025 at 10:32 pmI’ve been sending my son here for nearly four years and my daughter for two years. I will be secure when they move on. I wouldn’t hesitate to suggest Tops Christchurch. The practitioners are excellent, and the manager goes above and beyond.

March 15, 2025 at 7:07 pmWhen I first visited the childcare centre I completely fell in adore with the natural aesthetic in the rooms and the different playtime zones in the garden and I still sense the same to this day. My daughter continues to delight in going to childcare centre each week and it is lovely to hear her talk about her friends and the teams within the room. The childcare centre work really hard to get the kids outdoors and my daughter loves the trips down to the Quay and the nearby park – she especially enjoyed her Forest School trips out to collect resources to make artwork. Observations via the app can be sporadic but I appreciate that it can be difficult for the team to send updates to all the parents of the kids on a daily basis – if they did they’d never be interacting with the kids! I would definitely suggest Tops Christchurch to any parent living in the area! My daughter has been attending Tops Day Nurseries: Christchurch since she was one and is now in the preschool room, starting school in September.

March 16, 2025 at 7:25 amHe absolutely loves it, they do so many activities and crafts daily, and are consistently outside weather permitting. He has some really great relationships with the team and talks about them all the time. For me, the flexible hours work well and the location and team are excellent. I sense like they all really know my son and give great feedback after every session. My son has been attending Tops in Christchurch since he was one, he is now three and a half and in their preschool.

April 17, 2025 at 7:56 amShe loves going there and has developed self‑assurance in making friends and discovering. The team keep us updated with regular photos and videos which is excellent. Flexible shift booking system. Tops have consistently been very attentive towards my daughter and helped her settle in well.

May 8, 2025 at 9:45 pmMy daughter has been coming for nearly two years now and my second is booked to start in the new year. Welcoming team and my daughter is consistently cheerful at drop off. My only tiny wish would be for more regular image updates. Lovely childcare centre.

June 9, 2025 at 10:31 pmSince returning to Tops after lockdown, his developmental development has accelerated. The team at Tops are excellent and consistently cheerful to help or find an answer if they aren’t sure.
The outside space is remarkable, and it’s outstanding how much time in the fresh air the kids spend. My son is really cheerful at Tops Christchurch; especially since moving up to preschool.

June 14, 2025 at 8:55 pmShe is just going through the process of starting infants. I can say she has never complained about going to childcare centre. The team have consistently been welcoming and seem to have a genuine sense for all the kids. My granddaughter has learned a great number of daily life needs, especially discovering to try different foods. I can only say that I think the time she has spent at the childcare centre has made her a more all-round, grounded and confident kid. Should anyone think to ask an old man his thoughts on nurseries I would be more than cheerful to suggest Tops Day Nurseries at Christchurch. My granddaughter has been attending the childcare centre three times a week since she was 11 months old.
