June 19, 2018 at 12:00 amThe Old School Day Nursery & Pre-school have looked after my son for over 18 months. Since January 2018 he has attended full-time and has thrived in the environment which has nurtured his interests, helped him become a confident and assertive boy while tending to his health concerns.
The staff always provide relevant feedback and communication is good on a daily basis. In the last few weeks, the nursery staff have put all their efforts into fundraising for the Children’s Hospital (who look after my son) and raised over £600 while having so much fun and getting all of the children involved. Amazing! Well done!

June 19, 2018 at 12:00 amThis nursery provides an amazing atmosphere for children, the staff are extremely welcoming to both parents and the children. My son gets so excited as soon as we pull into the car park here.

Nothing is too much trouble. We will miss the nursery and staff as he leaves to go to school.

July 3, 2020 at 12:00 amMy son loves coming to nursery, he knows when we pull up outside and gets all excited. Staff are lovely and very welcoming, always addresses my little boy as soon as we walk in the door.
Detailed daily feedback and the children are always engaging in fun activities. It’s so lovely to log in online and see daily pictures of what they’ve been getting up too.
My little boy has been going since he was 5 months old and as a new mum working full time it puts my mind at ease knowing he’s in such good care and loves his days exploring at The Old School Day Nursery.
Staff always keep parents updated and very accommodating.
The only point I would make is how the days they attend are non-negotiable to swap on odd occasions they have to be set days, you can’t change days as a one off but this isn’t a complaint.
I’m happy with my little boy’s progress and I feel he will continue to learn, grow and enjoy his time at The Old School Day Nursery.

September 15, 2020 at 12:00 amFantastic nursery! They have been brilliant with my little boy from the day he started. Due to its small nature, you get a real sense of personalisation for your child. Their communication is faultless and are always on the phone if there is a problem with your child, and the staff are always upbeat and bubbly. I definitely made the right choice for my little one in choosing this nursery.

They are great at working with you to help settle your child if needed, potty training and getting them ready to go to school. The meals the children receive are excellent. It was sad to see my child leave, but she ran into school on her 1st day. They helped with getting her to this point. Thank you. If you’re looking for a little nursery that will encourage your child to develop and be ready for school, what are you waiting for? Go for it they are fab.

So understanding and lovely throughout the settling in period, offering additional sessions too and letting my little boy take it at his own pace. We were really worried about how he and the staff would cope with his speech difficulties, but we’ve had no issues at all. He’s never been to a nursery before and just over a month in he’s constantly asking to go and doesn’t want to leave when he’s there. Couldn’t have asked for better!

October 12, 2020 at 12:00 amOur daughter has only been attending The Old School Nursery for a short time but we have noticed an amazing transformation in her socialisation skills. She is so much more confident and will approach other children with enthusiasm it is very refreshing to see. Our daughter was a previously looked after child and we had worked very hard on positive attachment, to say I was anxious about her attending nursery would be an understatement. However, the nursery were very understanding and offered lots of support to her and myself with extended settle sessions and in-depth updates on how she is adjusting to nursery life. I am very grateful to two staff members. Keep up the great work!

January 24, 2022 at 12:00 amI couldn’t be happier with the standard of care my child receives here! Both my children have attended the Old School, one being 7 now and one being in toddler room. The staff at the Old School are very welcoming, friendly and always help as much as they can. Every member of staff knows and greets my child, even though they are in separate rooms. My daughter runs into nursery to see the staff members and children. I always feel safe leaving my child at nursery and she enjoys every day. The daily updates and parents’ app is amazing, it’s lovely to see all her feedback and photos daily. The nursery has a lovely atmosphere, is warm and is such a calming, neutral setting. My child’s key worker is amazing, she knows all her strengths and weaknesses and plans activities to enhance her development in all areas. The manger is very friendly, helpful, and relatable as a parent. My daughter calls the staff members by their names and looks forward to coming into nursery, I would highly recommend it.

The nursery is an amazing place, and the staff go above and beyond. It’s such a family vibe, and I know my children are in the best hands. I would highly recommend the nursery, and I wouldn’t even contemplate another nursery. The staff are all so friendly and kind. I cannot praise them enough!

I love being able to see what he is doing through pictures and communication on the app and it really puts you at ease as a parent. I can’t fault the nursery, the staff, the facilities or the care they provide.

March 15, 2023 at 12:00 amMy little girl started at The Old School Day Nursery & Pre-school when she was 9 months old and she has flourished and this is thanks to the great staff and the activities that they provide. She is 3 now and she loves going to nursery. She enjoys Forest School and the fantastic range of activities that the staff prepare for the children. The parent zone app enables me to see lovely photos of what she has been doing each day and my daughter loves to look back at these each evening. The staff are amazing and go over and beyond each day. There are lots of stay and play sessions available to us as parents which I have participated in and it’s great to see my daughter interacting with the other children. I would highly recommend this nursery.

April 27, 2023 at 12:00 amMy daughter has been coming here since she was 7 months old – she is 2 now and is really thriving.
I did start off putting her in this one for the convenience of location – as it is only a 2-minute drive from where I work – but I am so happy with my choice.
The staff are all excellent, she is always greeted with a smile and never looks back to say bye now, just runs straight in.
She is always talking about certain staff members when we ask her who she is going to see and play with at nursery today.
Overall, brilliant staff and I cannot wait for her next journey to the preschool room later this year.
