Description

St Benedict’s provides a well-rounded, seamless education which can begin in our Nursery and continue to the end of Sixth Form. The School is committed to supporting all children to develop their full potential, by treating them as individuals, and catering for their particular needs and talents at every stage. Inspirational teaching, tutorial guidance and exceptional pastoral care are at the heart of the education we offer.

At St Benedict’s, there is a vital focus on personal development, through our outstanding co-curricular programme. St Benedict’s has a distinguished sporting tradition: while many boys and girls train and compete at county and national level, everyone is encouraged to enjoy sport, teamwork and fitness. Music and Drama are both excellent; there is a strong choral tradition, many instrumental ensembles and frequent concerts demonstrating very high levels of musicianship. Termly drama productions have recently included Amadeus, Les Misérables and A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

The Junior School and Nursery provide a supportive and vibrant environment in which to learn. Sharing excellent facilities with the Senior School, and a carefully planned induction programme, helps to ease the transition at 11+ to the Senior School, which is on the same site.

The variety of rooms is clearly beneficial in creating a stimulating colourful and enjoyable setting to learn and build friendships in. The feedback via newsletters is lovely and these regular updates keep you in touch on many levels. This is my third kid here and we are fortunate to delight in its high standards again. My son’s settling in period has gone exceptionally well and this is certainly down to the remarkable team and nurturing atmosphere.

The childcare centre itself is a really cheerful and homely setting, with outstanding resources and facilities. I have been really impressed with how much my daughter has learned in such a short period of time, and have found the team to be highly committed and attentive people. I would definitely suggest this childcare centre. My daughter has been attending St Benedict’s childcare centre for the last 2 months, and has enjoyed every day there from day 1.
