October 28, 2016 at 12:00 amSince my little girl joined the nursery at Barlborough Hall in January 2016 I can honestly say she has really blossomed into the confident, happy and cheeky girl she is. She absolutely loves joining the breakfast club each morning with her older brother who is in the school. The twice-weekly swimming lessons as part of the nursery sessions have been a huge bonus and have saved me quite a lot of money as I’m not having to do private lessons now.
The grounds of the nursery are fantastic and I really love how much she is outside, even when the weather is poor. In fact, welly walks are often the highlight of her week. The team are wonderful and I know that I am leaving my little girl in very safe hands whilst I’m at work. I would recommend the nursery and in fact the school to any mums and dads who are looking for the best place for their child.

October 28, 2016 at 12:00 amWhen my eldest started at the school we moved our youngest into the nursery. We couldn’t be happier with how she has come on. Whether you decide to move onto the school or not I can’t recommend it enough. Our daughter loved so many activities here from swimming, baking and the wellie walks!! Every day she came out full of stories. The team at the nursery are so caring and show such a genuine interest in each child. I found the nursery leads to be a great source of advice and support in the many twists and turns of parenting!

October 31, 2016 at 12:00 amHaving our daughter join Barlborough a few years ago, we could see how great the school nursery was instantly. It was an easy choice for us to put our two boys through nursery. The team are fantastic and could not do enough for the children (and the parents!) on and ongoing basis. As parents, we have had so much support from the nursery team. The level of care and attention given to the children is superb as are the facilities and the surroundings. Our children love and have loved going to nursery every day. Their development in all aspects of little life is great to see and a reflection of their time at nursery.

October 31, 2016 at 12:00 amFantastic nursery provision. My little girl has only been there a matter of weeks and now has taking steps to learn to write, count and recognises her own name. My little girl also goes swimming there and has built us that much confidence she can swim alone with arm bands, she used to cling to my side before starting here. All staff are fantastic and provide excellent care and support. Highly recommend.

October 31, 2016 at 12:00 amMy son was in the nursery and has now progressed to Pre-Prep, my daughter is currently in the nursery. Barlborough Hall Nursery is an exceptionally nurturing environment, I have seen both my children grow in confidence and have a real interest in learning. I moved both of my children to the nursery as soon as they were old enough as I did not want to leave it too long. They were both in a good nursery before and we were happy, but Barlborough offers more and the transition to school was seamless and my son is flourishing. My daughter really enjoys swimming and having lessons twice a week has really made a difference. One of the main plus points for me is the flexibility with timings, my wife and I work long hours and being able to drop the kids off early and pick them up to 6pm really makes a difference.

October 31, 2016 at 12:00 amStaff are all wonderful. Both my boys have enjoyed it there. Would be great if they continued doing outdoor week as it’s in a beautiful setting great for exploring. Other than that they do a wide variety of activities.

November 14, 2016 at 12:00 amOur Daughter has been extremely happy at Barlborough Hall School nursery. Due to the close care and attention that she has received from the Nursery staff, she has really grown in confidence both personally and educationally. We have found there to be slightly more structure in terms of learning here, compared with other nurseries. Lastly, I would say that the nursery really has prepared our daughter for a smooth transition into her first year at the school proper. We couldn’t be happier!

November 14, 2016 at 12:00 amWhat a lovely structured and organised nursery. We could not be happier with how my eldest son has progressed in a short space of time. The nursery timetable given to parents following enrolment enables both parents and the toddlers to quickly get into the routine. There are a range of activities that they are involved in such as Wellie walks, baking and Ibox. They have swimming twice a week which helps parents to spend time with their kids over the weekends.
The ratio for pupils and teachers is reasonably good. This allows teachers to know their toddlers earlier on and promotes confidence to the toddlers to develop further attachment relationships.
The nursery team is actively involved in all the activities including swimming which helps new starters to build their confidence with familiar faces around them. The Nursery team is brilliant and use an open door policy with parents to allow effective communication if there are any concerns to be discussed.

December 25, 2018 at 12:00 amMy son attended nursery here from 3 years old, until starting school. The children have a lovely timetable where they learn everything from phonics to French, baking and welly walks. Our son learnt so much, so quickly in their caring environment, and thrived on the more structured setting. The nursery staff provide lots of feedback, and are fantastic at helping with toilet training, behaviour and preparing your child to start school. They have great outdoor access, with a beautiful playground and the opportunity to explore the vast green space around the school. My son participated in lots of forest school events and outdoor learning during his time at nursery. His progression to school was easy because he was so well prepared by this nursery. The food at lunch is all prepared on the premises, and are healthy and varied. I have not known of any other nursery that offers swimming lessons to their children. I cannot praise them highly enough!
