Little Pioneers Nursery & Pre-School, Rathvilly (Northfield)

Our first started at First Steps Rathvilly when he was 12 months old and our second started at a similar age. We have been extremely thrilled with the attention and developmental assistance our sons have received. It is extremely nice to receive updates and photos throughout the day on the app and handovers are always well detailed and informative. All of the team are approachable and knowledgeable. Both boys come home delighted every day (although tired!) and we enjoy hearing all about the fun and absorbing they have been getting up to with their friends!

My young lad started a few weeks ago and it has been a nice and easy transition, the crew are encouraging not only for my boy but for me too, he is loving his days there and has formed a nice connection with the personnel.

Our boy adores coming to childcare centre and is developing well. Our only suggested improvement would be to reconsider the distribution of fruit and less carbohydrates which can trigger our son’s constipation The crew are caring and there is a range of activities for the kids. The new manager and deputy are excellent and provide consistency after lots of personnel changes.

The personnel are brilliant and really attention about the little ones. Really good nutritious food during the day as well. My boy has a really good time. Fabulous nursery setting. Such a warm and welcoming environment. Lots of activities for him to do during the day.

On a personal note, I respect the professionalism of the management team. My granddaughter has been at this nursery setting for a number of years and I have found the crew to be exceptionally useful, cordial, engaging and extremely informative with the advancement and headway of my granddaughter. If anything is not quite right, the speed to correct is key.

However, from the get-go, he was welcomed in, made lots of friends and learned so much in such a short time. He learnt things ready for school, visited the local attention home regularly, learnt about gardening, experienced lots of activities, and most importantly, was always pleased. I can’t thank the Rathvilly team enough for their massive input in his exploring! After having to change nurseries three times due to them closing down, I was worried about taking my young lad to another early‑years hub for only three months before he finishes school.

We appreciate the photo and other updates through the app as that helps to reassure us as well. Thank you. Although he goes to the early‑years hub only two and a half days a week, he’s connected well and feels truly comfortable with all the crew members. All crew have also been exceptionally attentive, caring and have taken all our requests happily. We are truly thrilled that our young lad is setting in well at the nursery setting.

Excellent overall, the crew are kind and caring and have been super helpful, especially during a extremely difficult period.

She has grown and progressed wonderfully during her time here. Lovely nursery setting, the personnel are fantastic and wonderful, my kid is always pleased and excited to come to childcare centre to see her friends and absorb from the personnel.

They form great relationships early on because they get to know the little ones as individuals. Relationships between personnel and little ones are excellent. Relationships between team and parents are excellent. They work hard to communicate with parents through emails, the app and phone calls. The kids make excellent improvement because they feel thrilled and safe in their care.
