Description
Our beautiful and truly unique, Reggio Emilia inspired Teddington nursery is flooded with natural light, and each classroom filled with multi-sensorial and bespoke hand-crafted equipment and fixtures. A piazza with a 25’ glass ceiling forms the heart of the nursery, where everyone meets and interacts, giving a sense of belonging within our own little community. We have a stage for productions, and mezzanine libraries and unique quiet spaces for reading and learning, and of course, an inspiring outdoor activity space. As well as all the irresistible learning we do within our classrooms, the children also venture out at least once a day within the local neighborhood; exploring the surrounding parks, woodlands, and important public spaces, creating a sense of belonging to the greater community. We truly believe learning is never a solo experience, it happens with the interaction of others: children, adults, environment, and spaces. Our children live this every day they are with us.

October 27, 2022 at 12:00 amWe removed our 3 y/o within 2 weeks due to concerns with its management.
4 things I wish I’d known:
1. Whether your child’s key worker will be doing full days and if not, who will be responsible for your child when they are not there (only after settling in were we made aware the key worker only worked mornings)
2. How often the older children will be mixed in with the younger children – from our experience it was every afternoon (meaning a single big group with an age range of 2-5)
3. What accounts for an ‘incident’ the nursery will tell parents about – our child came home with multiple bruises (legs, neck and under chin) and a clear account of how it happened that afternoon – yet the nursery seemed completely unaware/unable to explain
4. What their complaint process is – after raising concerns about safeguarding, a company director sent an email (without ever talking to us) which made no meaningful attempt to address any of them and every attempt to make out we were the issue.

July 19, 2023 at 12:00 amJust a fabulous nursery with incredible staff. I am blown away by the range of thoughtfully designed activities my daughter has access to each day. The knowledge and thought that goes into creating such extensive activities, is visible in how full of energy and enthusiasm she is each day when we pick her up. The staff are loving, professional, and the communication with parents is excellent. We feel very lucky to have our daughter at Katey’s Nursery & Pre-school.

August 8, 2023 at 12:00 amAll staff at Katey’s engage the little ones with loving care and make them thrive. My son was really happy to go there every morning and came back with a smile in the evening. I would definitely recommend the nursery.
