Our nursery provides excellent care and education for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.
Highfield Day Nursery in Birmingham really lives up to its ‘Outstanding’ reputation and we have been awarded this rating by Ofsted in four consecutive inspections.
Our fantastic outdoor space at the nursery is packed full of features specially designed to nurture children’s imaginations, and all ages have access to this space on a daily basis.
Children will enjoy planting vegetables and tasting their produce, served by our dedicated Nursery Chef, whilst learning about the natural world along the way.
As an outstanding day nursery in Birmingham, parents value our commitment to working in partnership with them and we offer regular training sessions including First Aid.

February 7, 2022 at 12:00 amOur child has been attending the day nursery for 2 years. He is very happy there. We are involved and informed about his learning and have been supported to help with potty training. The team are highly skilled and kind and we would highly recommend to anyone looking for a safe, fun, clean nursery. The food prepared on site is nutritious and a healthy balance.

They keep all of the children safe and healthy and update the diary on time. Highly recommend Highfield Day Nursery.

June 13, 2022 at 12:00 amOur son attends the nursery five days a week full time. From the very first day, he is very happy, the staff is very kind with him, they are very close and very careful. Every single day when we drop him there he is smiling and he looks very comfortable playing around since the minute one. The staff is always organizing activities to stimulate him, always keeping us updated about everything, food, sleeping, daily activities, we couldn’t choose better!

The staff are like family and we, as parents feel really confident that our child is receiving the best care. The Sports Day, Queens Platinum Jubilee celebrations are a special call-out. It was lovely to see the kids with their playgroup, teachers and parents. We definitely couldn’t have chosen better.

September 13, 2022 at 12:00 amBoth of my children have attended Highfield Day Nursery and I have been extremely happy with the experience they have had there. The staff are all excellent and look after the children with great professionalism and warmth. The nursery has good facilities including a wonderful garden which the children go out into several times a day. Parents are given regular updates and are welcomed into nursery often for special events and celebrations – the whole family was made to feel part of the nursery community. During the pandemic the staff took sensible measures to make sure the nursery was safe, while ensuring the children were able to enjoy as much normality as possible.

He’s had several strong key workers over his time within Highfield who have always had his best interests at heart – often going above and beyond to give the best care. We’re very sad to say good-bye but very thankful for all hard work and devotion. We would have no hesitation in recommending to any parent/career. There’s been very little staff change over in the time we’ve had a placement meaning there’s always been a familiar face at the door. 10/10!

His speech has gotten better in the last couple of months, and they have really encouraged him. The management is good when I have a question, and they respond quickly and are helpful. My younger son will be starting in January.

December 20, 2022 at 12:00 amMy son has been here since May 2022, he has come on leaps and bounds since being there! He loves coming to nursery and runs in every morning. The staff are kind, helpful and caring, and the management goes above and beyond. The food is lovely, well-prepared and diverse. As a parent, I can’t be happier with my son’s care, and I would highly recommend this nursery.

The staff are very helpful and my daughter has learnt so much in the year she has been attending Highfield. They also give great nutritious meals that are freshly prepared on the day.

January 16, 2023 at 12:00 amMy son has attended Highfield since October and I could not be happier with them, he is full of smiles at drop off and pick up and the staff are brilliant with feedback. The toys are well kept and the activities he does throughout the day are amazing! There is a wide range of food and my son enjoys all the meals there. The staff have been really good with suggestions for home activities and how I can help towards his next steps at home, they are also very considerate about my needs and worries as a new parent.

June 19, 2023 at 12:00 amI love the nursery atmosphere, staff friendliness and their continuous aspiration to develop their skill in dealing with children. My child thrived beautifully at Highfield Day Nursery and their different aspects of development have all been monitored closely and shared with myself over the years. The staff has been wonderful working on each aspect until achieved. Photos of my child’s day been shared through the nursery App, a feature that we love. The nursery is open for parents to pop in whenever, giving the nursery transparency and parents peace of mind.
I gave the staff section a ‘good’ rating rather than ‘excellent’ as sometimes some of them still deal with certain situations spontaneously rather than how they were trained. An example would be hearing one of the staff telling a child “not to be a drama queen” or “not to worry” although they are obviously going through a tide of emotions that need to be acknowledged. Nevertheless, the staff are super helpful, good listeners and friendly.

June 19, 2023 at 12:00 amMy daughter has been going to Highfield Day Nursery for over a year now and it still strikes me how well she’s doing socially now compared to when she first joined.
The staff was kind sharing how my daughter has been keeping and asked me to keep them in the loop which was great for my daughter having a ‘team’ looking after her.
The healthy variable food served at the nursery also helped my daughter to open up to ‘try’ first before saying that she doesn’t like something.
I would definitely recommend the nursery to other people with such a positive experience I had myself knowing that my daughter enjoyed it very much as well.

Management are receptive to feedback and the food provided is nutritious. Staff are polite and always give us a pleasant feedback. It is a diverse nursery, which celebrates all celebrations and festivals. We are so glad she is in an inclusive environment from such a tender age.
