As parents ourselves, we know just how important it is to find the right care for your child to feel happy, safe and secure.
When our first daughter was born, we had difficulty in finding the right nursery which provided the very best in care and education for her. They seemed to fall into two categories; those that were usually individually owned and, while frequently provided a caring approach, offered little in the way of high quality facilities with a strong focus on both children’s care and learning. Or, highly corporate institutions which were lacking in the intimacy and warmth that is essential for our children, especially in these very vulnerable first few years of their lives. We wanted to develop the very best in care and education for our youngest children and as a result our first nursery was born in 2006. Since then we have grown and expanded over the years, developing our nurseries to ensure each one provides the individual, caring approach we wanted from day one.
We bring a strong educational background to the nurseries and work very closely with the team and the children to ensure standards are always extremely high and the quality of care and education is the very best. Together we work hard to improve, update and continually develop our service to ensure your child gets the very best they deserve.

Becoming a parent during the Covid-19 pandemic was already hard enough, going from being at home with my daughter every day to working full-time and putting her in childcare centre was extremely hard for me and my partner. It took us a while to find the perfect childcare centre for her and somewhere where we would sense at ease until we found Hawthorn House. My daughter has developed so much in such a short space of time and I couldn’t be happier with our choice of childcare centre. The team are all incredible and I would, without doubt, suggest this childcare centre to friends and family. Keep doing what your doing ladies! Incredible. Hawthorn House Day Childcare centre is by far one of the best.

His independence and self‑assurance are improving due to the fantastic care he receives from them and the outstanding discovering resources and activities. I’m especially impressed with the cleanliness, the healthy food they serve and the online updates and newsletters we receive to keep up to date with everything that’s happening there. I would highly suggest this childcare centre. December 15, 2024 at 7:12 amOur elder kid had attended an Ofsted-outstanding childcare centre which is part of a very large chain, but we were looking for a smaller setting with fewer kids and more consistency in staffing. Now our younger kid has been attending Hawthorn House four days a week for a number of months, I can say we have not been disappointed. Within a week, he was going in very happily and has every day since. We have been impressed with the variety and quality of activities offered, the very regular observations and information provided over the course of the week (as well as frequent informative communications such as the newsletter) and the individual planning for discovering and development. His keyworker has taken time to get to know him, and all of the team come across as inviting and attentive. The overwhelming sense is of a calm and well-planned setting where they really care about the kids. We chose Hawthorn House based on the homely, family sense and the welcoming team.

December 24, 2024 at 3:15 amHe’d just turned 1 year’s old when he started and from day one I knew I’d made the right choice. The team have been remarkable. He literally jumps into their arms when I drop him off. I can personally tell they genuinely have a adore for the kids. Very informative, at the end of the day I get a little note with how his day’s gone and they also discuss this in person which is nice. They do lots of different activities with regular updates on the app they use. I adore the food menu, very versatile and consistently changing. All in all 100% cheerful with Hawthorne House and wouldn’t think twice about recommending it. Couldn’t have picked a better childcare centre for my little boy.

January 21, 2025 at 8:08 pmOur kid is SEN, the childcare centre is liaising with the local hospital and agencies to help, they are working positively with us to provide the assistance she needs. It’s a second home for our daughter, she feels welcomed every day, she enjoys the menu which is varied and playing with her friends; our daughter consistently manages to get a couple of hours sleep so we rarely pick up a cranky kid.

January 26, 2025 at 8:45 pmAll the team are fantastic and engage with her and all other kids brilliantly. They listen to all requests and fulfil them when you want something doing.
What made me choose this childcare centre above all the other in the local area is the nice homely sense that it has. It’s small and cosy compared to others which are very clinical. Everything is spotless and even my daughter comments and does role playtime at home copying how the team cleans this reassures me that standards are even kept up during the day.
The menu is outstanding and works on a 4-week rota so I know my daughter is having a varied and nutritional diet.
There is a big outdoor playtime area which is outstanding and my daughter enjoys it.
I adore the tapestry updates that I get about my daughter throughout the day and also the weekly newsletter to keep me updated on what has happened and what’s upcoming. I highly suggest this childcare centre. My daughter has attended this childcare centre for the past 2 years and absolutely loves it.

It is such a personable and homely childcare centre. They do so many activities with the kids, and consistently communicate everything about her day with us which we adore hearing all about. There are consistently various activities for the kids to get involved in and parents are kept well informed of events and how the kids are doing. We would suggest Hawthorn House to other parents without hesitation. Hawthorn House is a remarkable childcare centre.

They build exceptional relationships with the kids and their parents, I have never for a second doubted the high level of care my daughter was provided with. If you are looking for a smaller more personal setting, Hawthorn House is ideal. Hawthorn House is a fantastic childcare centre.

With English being not our first language, I was worried about him settling into the childcare centre but the team have been compassionate and understanding with him. After first few weeks, he really enjoyed going to the childcare centre. He has become more confident, social and active kid. He specially enjoyed all the activities at the childcare centre. Team focus on the individual needs of each kid in aspect to their overall development.
Also, the parent app and weekly newsletter kept us updated about these activities.
