Description
Harvington Prep School and Nursery is an independent school in Ealing, West London. Founded in 1890 as a kindergarten called Heidelberg College, the school was renamed Harvington College during World War I. For much of its history, it operated as a private girls' school for ages three to eighteen, with boys included at nursery, and occupied three modernised Victorian houses on Castlebar Road. In 2010, Harvington School closed its senior school, focusing instead on its preparatory school. Most recently, it has been co-educational up to Year 2, with girls continuing through Year 6.

September 20, 2024 at 9:24 pmThe team at the childcare centre are the best I have ever seen. My kids look forward to walking through the childcare centre gates every morning. The care, discovering, and overall standard are unquestionably the best. The childcare centre prepares the 3/4-year-olds to life in pre-prep in the best way possible. I would highly rate the childcare centre and the team. Both my kids have attended Harvington Childcare centre (with one currently at the childcare centre).

February 2, 2025 at 7:20 amThey care about discovering and the well being of each kid. The childcare centre works hard to prepare the kids for school and in an empowering way. My daughter gained lots of self‑assurance at the school. The focus on the kids is really fantastic.

February 13, 2025 at 12:02 pmLovely attentive team, enjoyable activities, and excellent discovering. He was very prepared for the move into school the following year and had no problems settling into Reception as he was already used to the discovering setting. I would not hesitate to suggest this childcare centre. My son was very cheerful at Harriginton childcare centre.

May 16, 2025 at 8:15 pmThe childcare centre has a inviting and welcoming atmosphere, the team are very nurturing and I am struck by how they value really getting to know the kids and bringing out the best in them follows naturally from this. There are lots of ways in which the kids are encouraged to do their best and this focus makes for a very cheerful, productive place.
The childcare centre day seems very well balanced between free playtime and more formal discovering opportunities as well as involvement within the wider school assemblies and performances, which are consistently of a very high standard. My daughter loves this chance to engage with the older girls at the school and take part in these shows.
We have seen our daughter flourish at Harvington, from the very early days of feeling anxious to separate from us to the confident little girl she has become. I would highly suggest Harvington Prep School Day Childcare centre. My daughter is 3.5 years and has been attending the childcare centre at Harvington for the last 9 months.
