Fisherfield Childcare (Dorset Drive Nursery)

This nursery is a place where both of my children have had a great start to their education. The care and attention that the staff provide to each individual child is clearly visible and the relationships that the staff establish with the children in their care are exemplary. The environment is always highly stimulating and child-led, with the childrens’ work being used and their comments reflected. There is a real sense of community and children are given so many opportunities to learn about the diverse world in which they live. Staff are always happy to talk about the children’s learning and the digital learning journey app that is used has been a great way to see exactly what my child has been up to. Fisherfield has been such a great place to send my children and that is all down to the dedication of the manager and her staff, who all have the children at the centre of all they do. The community events that are put on throughout the year are a great opportunity to meet others.

Both my children have been to this nursery. The care and education are outstanding.

All the staff are amazing and you can see the children all care for the staff the way the staff care about them.

I feel that I can talk easily to the staff and any minor issues with my child are sorted. I have a very good rapport with the staff – some who I have known a long time, with having 2 children go there.

I would highly recommend the nursery as the children’s welfare is number 1 priority.

My son has attended this nursery for almost three years now. Initially, like many children, he would get upset upon arrival. This gave me doubts about the nursery, however, I couldn’t be happier that we kept him here! Now he is older it is clear he loves it, he has a great time and gets the opportunity to experience many things with this nursery. The staff have been supportive all the way! I can’t thank them enough!

This is a very good nursery with experienced staff. My daughter has been attending the nursery since she was six months old and she is now 2 years, she enjoys it very much. Since coming here she has learnt a lot of new things and I am very pleased about that.

Since my child has started at nursery she has progressed so much. I was concerned with her speech before she started at nursery but her talking and social skills have come on so much! She looks forward to coming to nursery and there are no issues with dropping her off there.

Fisherfield managers and staff are both caring and accommodating.
I feel my child is cared for to a standard that I would care for him myself. My partner and I are raising our son to be kind and empathetic and this is what I get from his key workers and the nursery manager consistently. As my partner works away, I am regularly stuck for childcare and the nursery is always happy to remain flexible and really has the parent and child in mind always. The food provided is of a high standard and freshly cooked on site to provide variety and balance.

The nursery is always immaculately clean and the children are kept safe, warm and clean while still being allowed to explore and learn through play. The nursery also go above and beyond throwing lovely seasonal and inclusive parties and organising events that enrich my son’s experience. Thank you to you all, you really are amazing.

This nursery and the team go above and beyond to cater for our grandchild’s needs. Each child is an individual. The team teach, care for and encourage. We feel very welcomed and the team always make time. We are not from the area and travel up to an hour to get there, this shows just how pleased we are with the care and the progress that our grandchild makes.

I cannot recommend this nursery enough, I struggled with my child settling in at first since she was so clingy to me but due to the staff members’ continued support for both myself and my child she managed to settle in, and very quickly she became extremely fond of going to nursery. The staff have always been great and always listened to any concerns I had regarding my child, they are all extremely friendly and caring and seeing how my child has progressed over the years by watching videos and seeing pictures is just an extra bonus!

I think this is an amazing nursery my daughter loves it. She can’t wait to go every morning. When she’s not in she’s upset.

The staff are very welcoming and pleasant. And the environment and play areas are well tidy.

Great nursery with the fabulous staff who have a friendly and fun approach. My child looks forward to going and has a good day. Individual targets set and progress monitored and fed back which is appreciated.
