Explorers Day Nursery

Throughout the 13 months that my kid has attended Explorers, she has blossomed and this is in part thanks to the assistance, guidance and care provided by the team. I knew Explorers was the right childcare centre for my kid after a brief visit where I was shown the baby & toddler rooms and introduced to the team. The childcare centre itself is well planned out; it’s spotless, spacious and all on one level (very kid-welcoming/secure compared to others I had visited which were on 2 floors and depended on stair gates etc. to keep kids secure). Teething problems experienced with getting my kid to settle, especially when dropping off, were quickly identified. We were invited to meet with team who helped us come up with ways to make the drop off less stressful for my kid and these were very effective, very quickly. 13 months later my kid loves her time at childcare centre and enjoys telling me about the activities she does, many of which we never do at home! I couldn’t rate my journey of Explorers highly enough!

With the assistance and encouragement of all the team, she has transformed into an outgoing, chatty and playful little girl. Her self-self‑assurance has grown immensely. She has learnt so much, including how to interact with others, manners and sharing. Thank you to all the team. When my daughter first arrived she was painfully shy and reserved.

This is excellent to see. The baby room practitioners have made my younger daughters transition into childcare centre very smooth and she appears cheerful and content. The toddler room consistently has a “buzz” and our elder daughter likes it so much that her favourite game at home is to “playtime childcare centre”. The food is fresh, nutritious and smells fab in the mornings. There is a lovely, inviting, welcoming and calm atmosphere when dropping off my daughters at the childcare centre.

The actual childcare centre is spotless and modern. The team are all very welcoming and care a lot for all the kids. The food smells incredible and all dietary requirements are well catered for. The team are very great with all the kids and show a real interest in helping them grow and develop. They are extremely supportive and my daughter absolutely loves it there. I can’t suggest Explorers more!

The team are welcoming and supportive. I do sometimes sense that due to the numbers of kids at the childcare centre, the kids don’t focus as perhaps they should. Sometimes drop off’s can be hectic and on occasion, there hasn’t been enough team to cover this. The food is outstanding and I thank the chefs for encouraging my daughter to try different foods. The garden equipment/space is outstanding. My kids do/did delight in going to Explorers Childcare centre.

My son joined the baby room at 1 year 3 months and knowing he was well cared for, stimulated and socialising with other babies, helped me fell less anxious about returning to work. All of the team are welcoming, working in the best interests of the kids and are able to build special relationships with the kids. My son has progressed to toddlers and is provided with engaging activities to keep busy and discovering. Explorers offer an outstanding settling-in programme and their food is delicious – all home cooked. My son usually eats everything – a testament to the tasty, well-balanced meals and snacks. The manager has been particularly supportive during some difficult persona; times. I would not hesitate recommending Explorers – my son loves it! After almost a year of being on the waiting list, we were not disappointed!

The team consistently have smiles on their faces, even after a long noisy day. They are also very cheerful to help advise and give tips on any issues that might be happening at home i.e not sleeping through the night. The food smells tasty every morning when I drop our daughter off and makes me disappointed with my sandwich! Every day she seems to have learnt something new and has started singing songs in the car on the way home that I do not know… I definitely think that her development would not be as advanced if she didn’t go to childcare centre and sense that this childcare centre, in particular, have helped her to be like this. The key worker works on specific areas with her and I am regularly asked if there is anything I would like to add to her development. I would definitely suggest Explorers Day Childcare centre and I regularly do! Thank you all for doing such a fantastic job with our daughter. Our daughter has been going to Explorers Day Childcare centre for 11 months now and really enjoys it!
