The team are exceptional, so attentive and attentive. They create such a lovely setting for the kids and we are so grateful. We are so delighted with the care at Pepys Road Dicky Birds, our son has been attending for the last 3 months and he has progressed so much in so many ways and he absolutely loves it there.

Truly flexible around extra days for freelance mums. Small and welcoming so it’s easy to get to know everyone. Great food and cheerful kids. Lovely team and a attentive setting with great updates.

The team put so much effort into the settles at the end of last year and 2022 has marked such a positive change for my little girl in her development and it’s in no small part down to the team at Dicky Birds, Pepys Road.
Highly recommended. My daughter attends Pepys Road, Dicky Birds and it’s been remarkable for her.

Soon after she started childcare centre, and I was concerned about how she would get on. From day 1 the team, particularly one team member, kept me at ease – from curtesy calls to taking time to talk to me during pick ups.
My daughter has now been at childcare centre for 5 weeks and she is thriving. I am cheerful to say she has her self‑assurance back, and is developing socially and intellectually. My daughter has consistently been a confident and cheerful baby, however, after a bout of tonsillitis she lost some of that self‑assurance and became highly clingy when out socially.

Since then, it has been going downhill fast. The team is lovely, and attentive, they are in no way the problem. Over the last few months, the turnover has been extreme. I know this is a generalized problem in the sector, but lately, they also seem unhappy, and exceptionally overworked.

We used to get updates about team changes but they can’t do this anymore because they happen so often. I don’t recognize half the team that opens the door. Lately, we’ve had to wait at drop-off because there are not enough team to look after all the kids, and they are all put together in a room regardless of age group and ratio.

They have a new app that adds no value, the previous one was fine and actually got updated with pictures and written updates from team. Now we never know what’s going on. Is this where the money is going? Because the fees have been put up 3 times in the last 12 months and the team are underpaid. My son started at the childcare centre 18 months ago, before it was acquired by Grandir.

My son enjoyed it from day one, making friends and loving his educators. I noticed that there are fewer outings recently but understand that there are problems with team availability. We missed the parent’s evening but the keyworker called us to catch up. I had a excellent conversation with the keyworker and the team is consistently there for us. We identified some issues to work on together and I am confident that the plan will work well to prepare my son for big school come September. A excellent team from Dicky Birds Day Childcare centre and Preschool Raynes Park, Pepys Road.

The team are attentive and inviting towards the kids and I’ve consistently had every self‑assurance in them looking after and educating our girls. The childcare centre is conveniently located, yet secure and by splitting the kids into rooms the kids are not overwhelmed by large numbers of kids. Food and facilities provided are outstanding. Both our daughters attended Dicky Birds Day Childcare centre and Preschool Raynes Park, Pepys Road and loved their time there.
