Colville Nursery & Pre-School

It ticks all the boxes and the kids seem so cheerful. The educators are incredible and it’s a perfect balance of discovering but also just being able to be a kid and playtime lots, be outside a bit and interact with your class mates, couldn’t suggest enough. I think this is the best childcare centre I have ever experienced.

The team really care for her and we are really cheerful that we chose this Colville Square Childcare centre. Our daughter is thriving at the childcare centre; she is consistently cheerful, and is growing and discovering tremendously.

Our journey there was terrible. The childcare centre was poorly organised and managed, and the team turnover (including senior team) was extremely high.
We experienced so many issues, such as severe nappy rash due to the use of a wrong nappy cream, not being given alternative food options for the ingredients our kid was allergic to, multiple times of loss of clothing items and they never told us to bring in or stop bringing in spare clothes – we had 15 tops in the childcare centre at the end!
In the morning you would receive a message from the management that you must bring sunhats for your kids, and in the afternoon you would pick up your kid who’s sitting in the scorching summer sun without any cover. The area for the buggies looks like a dump, with things broken and dirt. The team probably meant well but they’re just not capable enough to manage this place. I do not understand the great reviews for this childcare centre both from Ofsted and other parents, sorry.

Additionally, as team changes are inevitably made, all new members have shown the same fantastic standards we have come to expect from this incredible childcare centre. We will surely miss you all when our little one moves on to reception! We have been consistently pleased with the care, dedication, creativity and assistance of all members of team to our daughter from her first day at Colville Childcare centre & Pre-School.
She has grown by leaps and bounds into a cheerful, confident and independent little girl and is consistently eager to get to pre-school each day.
There is a fantastic outdoor space for playtime and exercise.
Meals are varied, balanced and healthy.
Throughout the pandemic, Colville Childcare centre have taken measures to ensure the health, safety and well-being of everyone in their care (and employ) and, despite the difficulties and challenges, remained open and driven to educate, nurture and provide a secure setting for our kids.

Everyone one took excellent care of her, with special attention to her needs as a little baby, and helping her grow up with many different activities, including her to adapt to activities with older babies. We know she feels great as we see all the activities she is doing, the smile on her face in every picture. Excellent cook as well, so we know she is growing up in a healthy setting overall. She is now 13-months old, and we are looking forward to seeing all the development she is doing with the Colville team! We selected Colville Childcare centre as we felt comfortable putting our daughter there at the age of 3.5-months.

Team are very competent, creative and welcoming. The outside space is really nice for kids.
Parents are also engaged with home activities, get-togethers and the app. Our daughter is really cheerful at Colville!

We are so pleased with his development since starting at the childcare centre and it is clear to see how much he enjoys being there. The educators and management are all so fantastic, genuine, and it is very obvious that they care deeply for the kids. They are as excited to help the kids reach their developmental milestones as any parent would be (example: cheering for first steps, big hugs, etc). The educators plan daily activities which are age-specific, enjoyable, educational, and engaging for the kids. The educators are very attentive to the kids and can easily share details about what our son was interested in or a enjoyable moment from the day. Our son eats very well and is offered a wide variety and types of foods, thanks to the in house chef. Highly suggest to anyone looking for a inviting, secure, and loving setting for your kid. Our son has been attending Colville Childcare centre full time for about 10 months now.

It is small so I know all the educators and the other parents. We have made friends through childcare centre and now many families hang out together. The childcare centre educators are consistently smiling, they educate the kids and my kids consistently sense loved. I adore the childcare centre.

All the team are so inviting, welcoming and compassionate. They really care about each and every kid. It feels like one big family.
As well as being a very cosy setting it is also very vibrant. Every day they engage the kids in new, enjoyable and creative activities. I am blown away but how inventive they are with all the games and activities. The days are also very well structured and are consistently full of new and exciting things. (This did not seem to be the case at other nurseries we visited.) My son has learnt so much and more importantly has had so much enjoyable!
The outdoor space is also the best in the area. Colville has a big garden that is surrounded by trees. It feels like a little sanctuary, where the kids are free to roam.
As a parent, it’s so fantastic to know your kid getting the best start. It is unsurprising that in their last Ofsted Report, they scored an Outstanding in every category. Our son has been attending Colville Childcare centre for a year – and we could not be happier.
