September 26, 2024 at 10:05 pmThe administration has markedly improved in the last couple of years, and the current centre manager is stellar, consistently extremely supportive and quick to respond to communications. My son is currently attending and my daughter attended previously, we have consistently found the team outstanding, the facilities are great given the space limitations, having access to the gardens helps.

October 5, 2024 at 7:43 amAfter growing up with the lockdown he had not met other babies/kids. The team have been excellent with him and he has grown in self‑assurance. The facilities are outstanding and my son really enjoys his time there. The childcare centre has been excellent for my 20-month-old son.

October 22, 2024 at 8:55 amThe team are exceptional, so welcoming and extremely trust worthy. The childcare centre itself is a inviting, secure and comfortable space and we would highly suggest. An extra thanks go out to the management at New Town Nursery for handling the uncertain COVID journey so well and for putting our minds at ease when returning following lockdown. We have been attending New Town Nursery for nearly 5-years now with our 2 daughters attending 3 days a week.

November 8, 2024 at 1:33 pmMy youngest is currently in pre-school. The team make this childcare centre, and the Manager and her team work very hard to ensure the kids are engaged and cheerful. Location means outdoor space is limited but they make full use of the garden at the back and the local area. They are out every day. My youngest had a severe milk allergy when she joined and the chef was stellar in catering for her. My daughter is very cheerful and indeed I get shouted at if I pick her up too early, which says it all really. Highly suggest. I have been a parent since 2016 when my eldest joined.

November 17, 2024 at 12:50 pmWe have seen lots of improvement in her fine motor and language skills in the 2 months that she has been going and attending. She loves playing in the back garden and going on walks as well as the messy playtime activities that the childcare centre offers. Her key worker is communicative and welcoming. And we have only had pleasant experiences with the manager and all the other team. The frequent updates on the discovering journals app is very supportive. My 2 and a half year old daughter is excited to go to childcare centre every day.

November 19, 2024 at 5:51 pmIt’s such a relief to know that he enjoys the atmosphere. His friends, educators, the activities and looks forward to the days he attends. Highly suggest. My son has been attending this childcare centre since he was 11 months old (he is now nearly 4), and in this time the childcare centre has gone from strength to strength.

January 7, 2025 at 3:29 pmI really want to say thank you for all the team members for the outstanding care and adore they surround our kids with. I would definitely suggest this childcare centre to all parents in Stockbridge. Two of my kids attend Busy Bees on Dean Terrace.

January 29, 2025 at 5:26 pmStaff work well with the parents to implement care plans. Varied and educational activities. My son loves it here. Highly suggest this childcare centre. Fantastic food that my son raves about. Absolutely fantastic team, they really care for the kids.

March 15, 2025 at 8:29 amAbsolutely all of the team have been so fantastic in welcoming him and us and have created an setting that consistently makes him excited when he sees the front door and is greeted by the team. Despite a significant amount of our time there having been impacted by Covid-19 and thus not being able to enter the childcare centre and with it periodically being shut in line with government regulation, they have done such a excellent job of keeping us updated on the developing situation. From emailing us, posting an online diary and pictures of our son and making us sense included. They also seem to have a significant amount of activities for the holidays and other special days and have recently expanded with a little outdoor playtime area as well. Our journey has been nothing but positive so far, would suggest! Our baby has been attending the childcare centre for about a year and I could not suggest it more.

March 20, 2025 at 3:14 pmThe team are welcoming and most importantly, my kids speak of them with warmth and the enjoyable they’ve had together. The girls settled in well and consistently run in, with only a quick bye back to me, which I take as a great sign! I have been cheerful with the food provided and the amount of outside time they have, with them often going for local walks. We are updated via an online discovering journal which works well and the centre director communicates any important messages via email. The childcare centre are also excellent at celebrating seasonal events and festivals, it’s consistently enjoyable to receive whatever craft creation they’ve been making related to this! Since moving to the area in August 2020 and my two girls starting here, we have a really excellent journey with this childcare centre.

April 5, 2025 at 12:26 amThe manager and team really worked hard to make the transition as smooth as possible despite all the restrictions they had to follow, my son had never met any babies before but settled right in thanks to the warmth of the team. They have been fantastic about adapting with us as we changed his routine at home. For example, when we decided to get rid of his pacifier. He loves the varied activities they provide, especially the sensory and messy playtime. He consistently smiles as he is dropped off and when he is picked up and clearly has a lovely bond with his keyworker. My son started at this childcare centre in January 2021 during lockdown aged 7-months-old.

May 6, 2025 at 8:49 amThe girls are all excellent with the kids and it is clear from how cheerful my kid is to go in by himself in the mornings, the positive relationships they have built with him. The updates has been outstanding since we started the childcare centre and they consistently listen to parental concerns. I would highly suggest this childcare centre.

May 18, 2025 at 12:07 amGood open updates with management and both kids delight in going into childcare centre which is the key sign of a great place! They have been excellent with both our kids and very supportive over the last year.

May 27, 2025 at 9:06 pmShe loves talking to me about her pals and the activities they do and what they eat. My daughter definitely gets a excellent range of new experiences at childcare centre and that is appreciated by the whole family. It is clear that she feels secure and looked after when she is there.
The team and director have been excellent with covid and lockdown. My daughter kept going to childcare centre throughout lockdown and as such moved nurseries a few times but was able to stay within the Busy Bees family. The team managed the disruption in a way that kept some continuity. This made it sense easier for all of us. My daughter has been at Dean Terrace since she turned 1 and has consistently enjoyed going in.

May 31, 2025 at 2:06 amShe settled in immediately and that is absolutely due to the lovely team and the enjoyable, stimulating setting. She really enjoys playing with her peers, something so essential after her (lonely) journey of lockdown. My daughter joined the childcare centre in mid-March this year at just over 1 year old.

June 6, 2025 at 2:49 pmNot only are the levels of care exceptional, with tailored care, meals and contact to meet each individual kid and parent’s needs, but my son loves going to childcare centre and consistently comes home cheerful, excited to tell us about his day and tired from the wide array of activities. They spend a excellent deal of time outdoors, which can often be hard to find in a city centre establishment, and allows for a different side of discovering, adored by the kids.
The team are consistently inviting and welcoming, yet expert and the childcare centre management are quick to reply or make contact whenever an issue is raised. I cannot suggest New Town Nursery enough.

June 16, 2025 at 5:43 amThe childcare centre were very attentive at helping us through this and his self‑assurance has come on leaps and bounds since. We are seeing huge development strides every time he comes home. My son was born during lockdown so childcare centre was a very tough journey for him.

June 18, 2025 at 8:40 pmAs he was born during lockdown he hadn’t had much interaction with other adults and kids and had spent the majority of his time with me so it was a big step to send him to childcare centre. I couldn’t be more pleased with how it is going, the team are excellent with my little boy and he has a big smile on his face when I drop him off and pick him up. He has been doing lots of enjoyable discovering activities and I have noticed a big jump in his development. The updates from the team to myself is also excellent too. He also receives a great variety of healthy foods. A excellent childcare centre with lovely team. My little boy is 10-months-old and had been attending the childcare centre for the last couple of months.

July 3, 2025 at 7:57 amHe is consistently cheerful to go and reaches for his educators the minute we approach the door to drop him off. I sense they are doing a excellent balance of indoor as well as outdoor activities and often take the kids to the nice parks in the area. The childcare centre offers an online journal, which is especially handy since Covid-19 means that parents can’t enter the building. The journal offers an overview of the kid’s daily activities, when they slept and what they ate. It also shows observations of skills and has pictures, which is consistently a treat to see. I would definitely suggest this childcare centre. Our son joined New Town Nursery when he was nine months old and even though he was very young, the welcoming and attentive educators helped him to join in activities where he could, so he could develop skills and have enjoyable.

July 8, 2025 at 9:00 pmHe was already a toddler and had been going to childcare centre regularly but this was a new location, new language as the previous childcare centre was in Dutch and all during Covid-19. We only have great things to say, the team made a huge effort around Christmas with loads of excellent activities including a Polar Express day where they welcomed the kids at the door with a special train ticket. They also made a huge effort to welcome the kids back after lockdown ended in February. The manager sends regular, proactive updates about the childcare centre and has been very organised during Covid-19. They often take the kids for walks in the local area, on other days they playtime in the childcare centre’s newly upgraded garden. The team give the impression of being tireless. Happy to suggest. After we moved house, our son transitioned to this childcare centre.
