Our nursery offers a very happy, nurturing, safe and welcoming environment, providing a good foundation for children to make the most of their abilities as they grow. We strongly believe that every child deserves the best possible start in life.
We have a wonderful team of well qualified and committed staff lead by Jayne, the Nursery Manager, all of whom work tirelessly to ensure that the children in our care reach their full potential.
Children are provided with learning experiences in a stimulating environment. Outdoors, the children engage in activities such as cultivating vegetables, fruit and flowers. They also enjoy the mud kitchen and a weekly football club. Some of our indoor activities include French, Dance classes and Signing Tots.
Our nursery cook provides our children with homemade, healthy, nutritious meals throughout the day, whilst the kitchen celebrates a 5 star food hygiene rating from the environmental health department.

August 23, 2022 at 12:00 amLovely nursery with a homely feel to it. Nursery practitioners are amazing with my son and also great listeners for me if I’m struggling. Management are amazing to give comfort to parents and carers when needed. I have never felt guilty or nervous leaving my son if he cries because I know as soon as he goes into his room he’s happy! My son joined when he was 2 into toddlers and the staff were amazing, he loved going into their room as there was so much to do. Now in full moons as he’s 3 and cannot fault the staff in his room, especially two members in particular. My son loves going in there as he loves to dance with them! The food is brilliant, a great mix of food and my son always eats everything! Thank you to everyone who is involved in my son’s care. He has amazing women in his life there and an amazing little friendship group!

My oldest still asks to visit Banana Moon and youngest is willing to go in at each drop-off. If I have a query the management are happy to help or find out the information that I need.

August 23, 2022 at 12:00 amMy son has been attending since he was 9 months old, he is 2 now. He really loves going and has grown so confident and learned lots. He has really bonded with the staff. He always eats all of the lovely meals they make. I would recommend Banana Moon to anyone as we have had a very good experience with them.

Staff seem to rotate through the different classrooms quite a lot which I find may be unsettling for some of the children. Staff may be in Mini Moons one day and Baby Moons/Full Moons the day after and I think it’s confusing for children. Apart from that a good nursery.

September 20, 2022 at 12:00 amMy child loves the setting and is very happy here. My issues are with the huge staff turnover. No consistency, key workers constantly changing, no observations. I don’t know the name of who I hand my child over to. Very disappointed.

November 30, 2022 at 12:00 amSince my daughter has been at Banana Moon Day Nursery, she improved so much with her development, she will now hold her own cup and even eats meat and is more confident with people, one thing I love is the connection her key person has with her and they go above and beyond to make sure she is safe and well looked after with her having epilepsy, they are always willing to sit down and discuss anything I am worried about with her development, it’s like having another family but still very professional.

February 1, 2023 at 12:00 amMy son has always loved going to Banana Moon. The staff are all really good with him and I like the updates of what he has been up to that day on pick-ups. The nursery and staff have done a lot of work both inside and outside to increase the range of activities they can do with the children and regularly refresh the decor so it doesn’t become stale. The introduction of parent workshops on some key issues such as potty training have all been really useful too!

February 15, 2023 at 12:00 amCan’t believe how much my little boy has progressed since starting. He had a rocky start but the staff all worked really hard to help settle him in. They worked with us to help make sure they knew his routine and the best way to settle him. He is always talking about Banana Moon and is so excited when it’s nursery day. He’s created some lovely relationships with the staff and the other children. Also can’t believe all the different foods he’s trying at nursery. It helped so much with his diet becoming more healthy.
