Acorns House (Park Grove, Cardiff City Centre)

My kid thoroughly enjoys Park Grove childcare centre, and I am confident to put him in the hands of the highly competent team, who were usually assigned to look after our son and did a splendid job. Excellent overall; in terms of premises, professionalism, educational standards, and interpersonal skills, as well as management are flexible with childcare arrangements.

We can’t suggest the childcare centre highly enough! Our son has attended Acorns for the last 3 years and our daughter has recently joined. Both of our kids consider Acorns to be a second home and are excited to go into childcare centre on their childcare centre days. Thank you Acorns House – we don’t know what we would do without you! Exceptional childcare centre run by a highly skilled manager with attentive, compassionate, and attentive childcare centre workers, cleaners, and chefs.

Despite being able to access free childcare in a different setting, we chose for him to remain in Acorns as he has thrived there. We have never had any concerns leaving him there each morning and trust the team and their judgement. Staff are extremely communicative, engaged, and cheerful – the team turnover is low – and clearly delight in their roles whilst managing parents well. The one difficult conversation we needed to have was made easy, with adjustments made to ensure diverse and inclusive resources were available to all kids. The hygiene, food, discovering opportunities, and playtime resources are outstanding; my son is consistently cheerful to go to childcare centre each morning. We have nothing but great things to say and have been thoroughly impressed over the almost 4 years, with one year during a pandemic! We would definitely suggest this childcare centre. My son has attended Acorns since he was 1.

My daughter is very cheerful and well-supported. She was adopted aged 2 1/2 and has some additional needs from time to time as her infant brain processes her history. My daughter talks incessantly about the childcare centre team and loves them. Acorns is an outstanding childcare centre.

She absolutely loves it there as well as all the team, who are all phenomenal. I have consistently been blown away by the extremely high standards of everything involved, I attended this very childcare centre myself as a baby and it’s secure to say that their standards have never even faltered for the last 20+ years. I have never trusted a care provider more with my daughter, it will be very hard for the both of us when she eventually moves on! Couldn’t be happier with the level of care my daughter has received while attending Acorns House.

The team go above and beyond to provide an outstanding journey. They do so many activities with the kids and we really sense like she is part of a family there. We will be really sad when it’s time for her to leave. We are so pleased that we chose to send our daughter to this childcare centre.

(My son also attended for 3 years previously) the team and management are incredible and consistently ensure the kids have the best day in a home from home setting! My daughter loves being at childcare centre and it’s all she talks about at home! I’ll be sad when she has to leave to start school. My 3-year-old daughter has attended Acorns House since she was 9 months old.

The team are incredible, attentive, welcoming, consistently welcoming and so supportive. The facilities are second to none, making this the childcare centre that I suggest to all friends and work colleagues. Staff ensure that the kids have sufficient time to settle in (even during a pandemic). Our second daughter started once nurseries could open after the first lockdown – settling in days were offered (as many as needed) and being unable to go in with our kid, team gave me the self‑assurance that she would be absolutely fine. She loves going to childcare centre to see her friends and key workers. We couldn’t be happier with the care given to both daughters when attending/attended. Both our daughters have attended Acorns House and we couldn’t have wished for better.

From day one, we have had the most incredible journey and my daughter can’t wait to get through the door. The range of activities is excellent and the access to outdoor playtime is an added bonus. Acorns Park Grove are absolutely remarkable.

I am very cheerful with the assistance and care that the childcare centre provides and the attention to detail that reflects the expert ethos of the team. I am consistently quite touched by the warmth and kindness that the team show when talking to parents when giving feedback at the end of the day. My son is consistently talking fondly of the team when I pick him up! My son has attended the childcare centre for the last few years.
