Acorns at USW Treforest

My children have both attended Acorns USW. I am extremely happy with the care that’s provided. I am always informed about what has gone on throughout the day. Both my children love coming to nursery, they always have big smiles and run in without looking back. All staff are friendly, professional and caring which makes the drop off so much easier.

From the moment my son drops off my grandson, he is super excited. He has been attending for nine months and the difference in him is a credit to the fantastic staff. The outdoor space and facilities are of the highest standard. It’s beautiful and clean and the food is absolutely stunning. The management team are so professional.

Acorns at USW Treforest is an outstanding nursery. My daughter has been attending for over three years. Despite moving further away from the nursery and no longer travelling in the direction of Acorns at USW Treforest for work, I have decided to keep my daughter here as this nursery excels in every aspect. My daughter is always more than happy to go into nursery, even asking if she can stay when I pick her up after a full day! The staff are so friendly, helpful my daughter has learnt invaluable skills during her time here, my daughter is constantly learning new things with the monthly themes and is always so enthusiastic about the topics with so much to tell me after her day at nursery. The management, along with all staff members are always so helpful and supportive. Acorns at USW Treforest has an excellent ethos and my daughter and I will be very sad to leave once she starts school. I could not have asked for a better environment for my daughter to be looked after and grown up in during her first years of life.

Absolutely love the nursery – amazing staff, facilities, equipment, and menu choices. My daughter has been attending for 1 year and the development we have seen in her has been incredible. Choosing a nursery to send her to during the height of lockdown was tough, but the team at Acorns USW put us right at ease and saw my daughter settle in perfectly. She is happy to run in in the mornings and is all smiles when we pick her up each day! Choosing Acorns USW has been the best decision we’ve made!

My daughter has recently started at Acorns USW and the staff made the whole process as painless as possible, they ensured they had all the information they needed about my little girl to make her day as home from home as possible. My daughter has many dietary requirements and the colour-coded plate system have put my mind at ease. The outdoor facilities are fantastic and I’m very sure I chose the perfect setting for us! Thank you for the wonderful care you give to all the children in your care.

My son has been at Acorns USW for 6 months, he settled in so well at the nursery all thanks to the amazing staff who are so caring and helpful. I cannot thank the staff enough for all they have done for me and my son and how much they have built his confidence and development. USW is such a welcoming nursery and makes you feel so comfortable and heard.

We have been incredibly lucky with finding Acorns for our little girl. Having spent the majority of her life in the pandemic, starting nursery was always going to be difficult but the staff at Acorns were absolutely amazing and helped her settle really well. We went from hysterical screaming going in, to her now running in happy and excited. I feel so at ease knowing she is with the staff at Acorns.

The care that Acorns at USW Treforest Day Nursery affords to my daughter is to such a high standard. I can see that my daughter truly loves attending as she will often wait by the door for me with her bag and coat in hand ready to go on a morning. I drop my daughter off by the door and she is always happy to go in with a consistent member of staff, which speaks volumes. There are occasions when I have made contact during the day and am then provided with a friendly handover via telephone. Upon collection, I am able to see where my daughter spends her time and it truly is such a lovely and homely environment. There are numerous open-ended toys to play with and lots of space to explore. She is constantly changing and developing and I am confident that she is thriving in nursery. The staff are all familiar with my daughter and are very careful and mindful to follow her dietary/allergy needs. Upon collection, it is lovely to hear all about her day, along with her emotional presentation. Staff have also been very supportive and reassuring when incidents have occurred (e.g. when she has bitten another child).
I am very particular about who I allow to care for my child, however, I am confident in knowing that my daughter is consistently cared for and safe when attending Acorns at USW Treforest.

The Acorns management team at USW are nothing short of amazing, as are the entire team of nurses and exceptional catering team.
Without the interventions put into place by this amazing team, my little boy would certainly not be where he is today, for this, I will be eternally thankful.
The whole team work tirelessly to ensure the nursery runs like clockwork, the professionalism, coupled with total approachability, understanding of individual’s needs and compassion, and dietary requirements, is what makes the vast difference at USW Acorns. Having seen many nurseries, I was shocked at how high the bar had been set at USW. None of them even come close to what has been created here.
With so much to offer the team, the managers, supervisors and ALN nurses are excellently placed at the top, as all of their positivity and enthusiasm feeds down to their well-accomplished team. Like I said, all of the staff have undoubtedly changed our family’s lives, and am sure 100’s of others too, from remembering your name from day one to giving you tissues when you cry, they are outstanding.
The teamwork just flows with the whole team, even though each individual has their own job description and responsibilities, they all muck in to help each other, and you, if you need it, its great to see such a transfer and adaptability of their skills.
This nursery is truly an Acorns treasure. Those personal touches they add are not unnoticed and are highly regarded.
Clearly the best of the best, ‘excellent’ simply does not do this team of professionals justice, they are worlds above excellent and way ahead of the game.
Moving to an area that does not have Acorns provision is incredibly daunting, I am forced into my decision to take my little one out and have huge concerns, even though I know they have given my little one the skills he needs to adapt.

Saying we will miss you all is an understatement.

My child has come on leaps and bounds since being at Acorns at USW. They have amazing things going on throughout the year and get us involved with their collaborative system, sending in photos and crafts that are displayed in the nursery for all to see. They do a load of celebrations for things around the world and they put on parties for things such as Father’s Day etc, which is lovely to see him playing in an environment so homely and where he feels comfortable. The food there is amazing made freshly in-house and any enquires we have had, the chef has been very accommodating, as my child can be quite fussy. They have wonderful resources for the children to learn and play from, and my child has learned so much since being there. My child won’t be going anywhere else until he starts school and then we will be looking at doing Acorns action park as the whole company seems very professional and the heart of what they do is the children’s welfare and their standard of care. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
