Bishop Cornish Preschool

Bishop Cornish preschool is an amazing place to send your little ones. We have been a part of Bishop Cornish for the last 4 years. Both my boys attended for 2 years and they have both thrived from the care and attention they received from this setting. The children have many opportunities to explore and get dirty in the woods which I feel is a very important part of childhood and learning about the outdoors.
Both boys’ key workers were fantastic and recognised their potential. When I left them I felt very much at peace as I knew the staff cared about my boys and if they were upset I knew they would get the emotional support they needed. I can not recommend Bishop Cornish enough. It is an amazing place with amazing ladies running it.

A wonderful preschool. Staff are attentive and caring. My daughter has learnt a lot since attending there and has enjoyed every day. The facilities are brilliant both inside and out. I can’t rate it highly enough.

This is an amazing pre-school! The staff are so friendly, happy, cheerful and lovely! I was anxious about sending my little one to pre-school as most Mum’s probably are. The staff were amazing with handling my little one when he was upset going in on his first and second week and they reassured me throughout the day that he was happy and that he wasn’t upset for long. Which I believe was a clear reflection on how welcoming and friendly the staff are towards the children! (This helped so much with an upset mum too). My son always comes out of pre-school happy and is so excited to go to pre-school. We look through tapestry together after pre-school and he’s so excited to tell me everything he has done that day. What they teach the children is amazing too! Very impressed! I cannot recommend this pre-school enough! It’s amazing! Thank you to all the lovely staff.

A fantastic nursery with amazing staff who go above and beyond to provide interesting, stimulating, and thoughtful activities for the children. Their passion for their work really shines through.
Their mindfulness activities and teachings about feelings have been really interesting to watch on Tapestry, where they record what the children have done each day. We are so glad we have managed to get a place here and have already put our other two children down for when they are old enough.
The whole space is wonderful and the children have lots of opportunities to play indoors and out with a fantastic outdoor area, it really is brilliant.

Would absolutely recommend this preschool! Both my kids have attended and they loved it. The teachers are awesome and you can tell how much they love their job and the kids. The resources they have are also one of the reasons we chose this preschool, with plenty of outdoor time and animals on the premises, we loved it. My kids have learnt so much and I would see changes and growth nearly every time they came home. 10 out of 10, outstanding preschool!

My child has attended this preschool since September 2020. He has mild hearing loss and wears hearing aids. Despite this potential barrier to learning, Bishop Cornish Preschool has helped my child to reach his full potential whilst in their care. He is so excited for school in September and is taking with him so many skills we only hoped he would have when we got his hearing diagnosis as a baby. The staff are knowledgeable, caring and very engaging with both children and parents. I have now sent three children through this preschool, starting in 2013, and it has been amazing throughout.
The grounds itself are excellent for little explorers with access to a whole outdoor forest school experience.

We honestly cannot praise Bishop Cornish Preschool or the amazing staff there enough. They have nurtured our daughter from day one and she has done nothing but grow in confidence under their care. The staff there, led by the manager who is just superb, genuinely care about the children in the preschool. They have been on the journey of our daughter’s development with us every step of the way and they celebrate every achievement with us. Nothing has been too much trouble for them and it has been so wonderful to see how much our daughter has thrived since being there. They know the children that they look after and build their strengths. The facilities are excellent, the literacy and numeracy programme are great and we couldn’t ask for anything more. If you are looking for a wonderful, nurturing environment, then this is it.

Outstanding setting. As a nursery nurse myself I found it difficult to find a setting I was happy for my two girls to go to. However, the staff here have made it so easy, stress free and have done everything to ease myself and the girls in. The girls go in happy and come out happy. They meet all needs and more! I drop off and have no worries about how much fun and learning the girls are having! The staff keep you updated throughout the session and nothing is too much. Thank you for being so great and looking after them so, so well!

We would highly recommend Bishop Cornish Pre-school. All the staff are fantastic, so approachable and friendly. If we ever have any concerns we know they will help and put our minds at ease. Nothing is ever too much trouble. The care they have shown each child is amazing. Our son has only been there a short period of time and has settled in so well. He has thrived so much. I cannot thank them enough for everything they have done for our son. You are all amazing!
