November 19, 2021 at 12:00 amThe key persons that have looked after my daughter for the last fifteen months have all been very helpful, polite and my daughter has grown strong connections with some of the staff over this time. I know my daughter is always going to have a ‘great day’ at nursey and I am confident that if she is sad or poorly they always let me know as soon as they can.

November 19, 2021 at 12:00 amWe’ve been with Choochoos Day Nursery for four years now for both of my children. Our children have both been so happy there and we’ve been really pleased with the care and service the nursery has provided over the years. The staff are really friendly and caring towards the children. Communication is good.
My children love the food (which is varied and healthy) and they always eat everything on their plates. The resources for the children are great and age-appropriate.
Would definitely recommend.

December 6, 2021 at 12:00 amChoochoos Day Nursery is an excellent nursery because it caters to the individual needs of each child. The variety of activities available each day are both engaging and stimulating. My child is encouraged in all areas from singing, dancing, painting, drawing, role play and outdoor play. I love the fact that my child can choose whether to play indoors or outdoors. The food offered is excellent. The staff team are always so happy, helpful and enthusiastic. Thank you.

December 13, 2021 at 12:00 am– Keep us well informed, communications is generally really good with key workers and the nursery.
– Make our son feel very welcome; he often waves hello and goodbye to other staff members outside of his room, which is nice and shows me they must take an interest whenever they do see him or interact.
– Very rarely have any issues, our son goes five days a week, and at most, we’ve had two calls in all the time he’s been there to advise us of him running into something, before Choochoos Day Nursery we sent him elsewhere and within a month we had three/four incidents and one which left him with a few cuts and bruises so it’s nice to know how it wasn’t just him being clumsy and actually, he’s in a safe environment and well looked after.
– Staff are all super friendly and down to earth.

February 15, 2022 at 12:00 amMy children love the nursery based in Harbeldown! Very professional staff, always approachable. Kids always have plenty to say what they have been up to during the day. Love the pictures and updates that they send via the app.
Only negative thing is awful parking situation.

April 25, 2022 at 12:00 amWe love Choochoos Day Nursery, our daughter looks forward to going each week and on the two mornings she goes, from the time she gets up she is getting her bag ready to walk out the door. Staff are really friendly and always accomodating. Today they went to the park for a picnic as it was such lovely weather. When I dropped her off they checked if I was happy to either collect her from the park as they would be late back or happy to collect her a bit later. They also checked if I minded her not having a hot meal at lunchtime and instead having picnic food. She had an amazing time and was so happy when we picked her up. She has come on leaps and bounds in her learning and confidence since starting in July 2021. The outdoor area is covered so she spends time out there every day if she chooses to – which she definitely does as loves being outside. I’ve only put good for management as not really needed to have any dealings with them, any communications have been with her key person.

April 25, 2022 at 12:00 amMy child has formed some really close bonds with the staff at Choochoos. She often talks about them when she is at home and you can see how much she is cared for. She is progressing really well there and they have been really supportive with any transitions we have wanted help with such as potty training and moving house. Especially happy now they are starting to make journeys to the park too!

April 25, 2022 at 12:00 amStaff are just lovely. I always feel my child is safe, happy and cared for. The manager and her deputy are fantastic and very child-focussed. My child often comes back and talks about the adults that care for her and the friends she has there.

June 27, 2022 at 12:00 amChoochoos Day Nursery Canterbury is a great nursery. All the staff are very friendly, supportive and lovely. My son enjoys his time in the nursery and looks forward to going there every time. My son is bilingual and from the first day, he is very welcome and happy. I can see his progress every day. Thanks for the great support.

August 3, 2022 at 12:00 amBoth of my daughters have attended Choochoos over a period of 7 years between them; time flies when having fun! When first looking for a nursery, our selection criteria was admittedly quite basic – we simply wanted a nursery that was close to where we lived, and had a good reputation. Lucky for us we hit the jackpot at the very first attempt!
However, it quickly became apparent that our girls would gain so very much more from their time here. Besides making fantastic friends, and enjoying each and every session, the close bonds that developed between them and the staff was a wonderful surprise. The care, nurturing, enthusiasm and dedication is truly incredible. To be able to maintain that energy and devotion over a period of several years is no mean feat.
The challenges of Covid were tackled with professionalism and cool heads. A change of ownership has also been well navigated, and staff seem content in their roles. They are the greatest resource this nursery has. Thank you all so very much.

November 23, 2022 at 12:00 amLovely nursery with really caring staff. My daughter is very happy here and is making great progress. We get frequent updates about the activities she is doing and the nursery host lovely events which parents can also attend.

April 14, 2023 at 12:00 amThis nursery did a lot for me and my daughter gets a lot of stimulation in one month in this nursery, she came back home singing and talking much more. She was very behind in the other nursery and she is always happy to go in the morning and, for me, that is so important to her feelings and improvement.

April 20, 2023 at 12:00 amThe nursery needs to do more for the children who have special education needs. The pre-school rooms are overcrowded. The SENCO and the manager need to take extra efforts in creating a better experience for any child. Recently two or three children left the nursery because of not-so-happy experiences. The nursery needs to stop complaining about the child and explain what additional steps they have taken to improve any behaviour which they found not acceptable. Thankfully, the parents have a chat group and discuss everything related to their child at the nursery which helps others to make the correct decision for their child’s future. I am surely not keen to recommend this nursery to any of our family friends. Thank you.

April 21, 2023 at 12:00 amThe nursery is full of friendly and supportive staff that want the best for children. Staff listen to worries and act on them, providing feedback. The play area for children is set in age ranges and provides open free play with lots of toys and set activities each day. I feel at ease going to work, knowing my son is safe and happy.

April 26, 2023 at 12:00 amMy son has fun here and likes the staff. I have often felt a certain cold vibe from some staff members, but my son always comes home happy and he really loves his key worker. It is a lovely nursery inside and I love the fact that they have an outdoor area.

July 14, 2023 at 12:00 amMy little one absolutely loves going to nursery, she is always so happy and the staff are just amazing, they are all so caring and understanding, they always do fun things and always make sure the children are always well looked after and always filter to each individual child’s needs. I am always informed of any sort of little accident and always informed when we get to have days where we come into the nursery to have some fun days with them. They always make sure they are happy!

July 14, 2023 at 12:00 amReally lovely nursery and a great team of carers/educators. It feels very warm and inviting whilst also very much like early education. We get updates throughout the day about all the activities the kids are up to and how this ties into their development. We were at a different nursery prior to this and immediately noticed the difference once we transferred to Choochoos Day Nursery – in the atmosphere of the nursery, the interaction with parents, the types of things the children were doing and also the happiness of our child who seems to really love it there. Highly recommend.

July 14, 2023 at 12:00 amMy daughter has been well cared for in Choochoos Day Nursery. She has remained happy to attend and has made good friends with other children. It will be sad to take her out to go to school.
I think that the numbers in the classes are large and that my child has not bonded with her new key worker as readily as she bonded with previous ones. This is why I have not given an excellent rating.

August 2, 2023 at 12:00 amOur son has flourished at nursery due to the wonderful staff working there. They provide a range of resources during the learning activities. Our parent evenings are a great way to spend some time with his key worker to understand his personal development further. Our Choochoos journey is coming to an end this month and the team will be missed.

August 24, 2023 at 12:00 amMy son is always happy to go to nursery! He is greeted by his key person with a friendly face. I get regular updates about what my child is doing throughout the day, as well as feedback when I collect. I like the messy activities and the access he has to the garden area and walks in the local community. All the staff I see seem happy and friendly. Happy child and happy parents. I would definitely recommend it.
