Rainbow Day Nursery

Fabulous day nursery my son settled in fantastic. The staff are just so helpful and he loves going. They are always learning new things and activities. 10/10 to all the staff you all are doing an amazing job.

My youngest has just started school and so after 6 very happy and fun filled years, my working day no longer starts with a drop off at Rainbow Day Nursery. Both my kids loved it at Rainbow and happily bounced into nursery each day to make numerous arts and crafts creations, play, read, dance and sing with their friends. The staff are loving and caring and work was made a little bit easier, safe in the knowledge that both my children were in the best nursery environment and were happy and excited to be there.

It’s been two years since my wife and I left a review of Rainbow Day Nursery and we wanted to give an updated review for parents looking for a nursery who will look after their child worry-free.
We wanted a nursery that would see the best transition from nursery to pre-school and the school run thereafter. We were not disappointed. So much so, that we decided to leave our daughter in the nursery until full-time education.
Our daughter has attended Rainbow for nearly 8 years (since full-time education only the school run drop off and pick up) and never have we had a reason to complain or worry.
The staff are well trained, very conscientious, caring and vigilant; qualities needed to put a parent’s mind at ease.

The nursery also has a Fun Club for children during school holidays providing a variety of activities that will keep your child entertained as well as educated.

When your child asks (like ours did) “When can I go to the nursery?” you know they are doing things right.

We are lucky to have chosen such a wonderful nursery for our daughter who is in the baby room. She loves her nursery, her friends and her carers. You can see it in her face when we go pick her up that she’s had a fabulous, fun-filled day! Her confidence, her newfound chatter, her walking/running etc – many of her skills were helped by the nursery. My daughter is exposed to all types of creative sessions, world celebrations, weekly football lessons and interesting visits eg zoo, which are well thought out and safely planned.

The carers listen to the parents and help where they can. They are very attentive and caring. I get a summary of my daughter’s day when I pick her up where they would share any funny stories, new developments or any issues. The communication is excellent.

The nursery has plenty of rooms, space, good parking and a safe and pleasant ”family-feel” environment which is why we chose this nursery.

We are looking forward to a few more years there.

I would not hesitate to recommend Rainbow as an outstanding Early Years childcare provider. It is a lovely family run business, with fantastic staff. Our 3-year-old twins currently attend and they really love going. My eldest daughter who is now in school also enjoyed attending and was sad to leave. The staff are super attentive, kind and caring, providing great learning and development opportunities and activities for our children. Rainbow has been incredibly flexible providing last-minute childcare arrangements (when grandparents have not been able to help) for which we are hugely grateful. The nursery regularly sends updates about our children’s development via the Tapestry App which is really special to see when we are in work, and they also provide extras such as Diddikicks football, cooking activities, visits from the local Fire Brigade etc for the children, as well as seasonable celebrations for the children and parents which are greatly appreciated.

Our little boy has been going to Rainbow for nearly 12 months now and I have to say they are absolutely fantastic, the staff are so lovely, kind and helpful and always have a smile for you! The fact that they take the time to tell you how your child has been after every single session, what they’ve eaten etc. is very reassuring. The manager and staff are never too busy to assist with any problems and issues you may have. I highly recommend this Nursery, our son is so very happy here and we cannot believe how well he is doing. Massive thumbs up.

This nursery is fantastic! My little boy has been going here for 3 years and only having to come away due to a house move. From the activities with the children to how friendly and welcoming all of the staff are and the amount of updates you get it really is a great place to send your child. Whether it’s one of the cooks or the manager of the nursery there really is no job too much for any of them. The team put so much effort into ensuring your child is happy and busy that all my boy talks about is how he can’t wait to go back the next day. If we could afford to continue doing the 40 mile round trip to this nursery every day I would do as no other nursery I feel will ever live up to this one. Keep doing what you’re doing because there is nothing I would change. This place has transformed my little boys character and we are so sad to be having to leave.

We have been so pleased with Rainbow nursery. The staff there are professional, caring, and take really good care of my daughter. The communication between the nursery and parents is good. Despite being apprehensive at first, my daughter has settled in really well and is excited to go to nursery. I highly recommend them.

You are unable to go into the nursery for safeguarding reasons so it is difficult to comment on their facilities.

All three of my children have attended Rainbow! Since 2015! I highly recommend this nursery! The communication, staff, environment, and parent inclusion have all been brilliant. Each room has its one outdoor space and the children are encouraged to be fairly independent from a young age. All of my children have thrived here! The staff are extremely approachable and respect the parent’s wishes with regards to helping to care for your child whilst they’re there. They are always happy to offer advice if asked and will work closely with you through important times like potty training etc.

Our son is in the Koala room and has now settled in well after the professional yet personable nature of all staff has encouraged him to use his voice and learn through play. This is our son’s second year within this class and he gets up excited to attend everyday. Thank you for creating a positive environment for our child to flourish in and always being open to discussion around tailored support where required. As an educational professional who conducts nursery assessments, this is a fruitful environment for our child. We appreciate the hand you have in developing our future leaders.

I highly recommend Rainbow Day nursery as it has become a home away from home for my 4-year-old. The staff are very friendly and warm and they take care of my kid very well. My kid used to cry his heart out before going to a different nursery and it would break my heart to see him do so. But after I changed to Rainbow he has changed so much that now he wants to go to nursery even on weekends. They keep you well posted about his day-to-day via the parent app and also carry out great activities for them and sometimes even include parents which is really fun. They celebrate various occasions around the year. They have great indoor and outdoor spaces for the kids to play around. Also, they keep you well communicated on everything!

My son is a child with special needs, He has got big support from all his teachers. His key person is amazing and very experienced. My son loves to stay in nursery and we are so happy that we choose Rainbow nursery for him

Nothing I say about the nursery would be enough! I can vouch for this nursery. I never expected my child to get used to a new place, so soon. Every carer at the nursery made sure that she was well looked after and cared for, every second of the day, due to which, my daughter soon started loving the place and in a few weeks she herself started wanting to go in every morning, which was a victory for everyone! She came out of her shyness, slowly learning the language and so much more. She has learnt so much from everyone at Rainbow. I and my daughter simply love everyone at the nursery and would have loved it if she could stay with them forever.

My son has been going to this nursery since eight months old. Everyone is very nice and helpful in the nursery. My son loves it and the communication between parents and the nursery is very good. They always pick up the phone and I can always speak to someone about my child’s development. There is a new app, where I can see a daily report of what happened on the day and I can see pictures of my son. The food is also very good, lots of different food every day which is cooked in the nursery.

My daughter started at Rainbows just after her first birthday in Jan 2019 up until she left for Reception in Aug 2022. Rainbow Day Nursery became her second family. All the staff at Rainbows are truly amazing and go above and beyond to help your little ones grow and archive to their highest level. I can’t thank Rainbows enough and both myself and my daughter miss them so much since my daughter left in August 2022. I highly recommend Rainbows to any parent.

My daughter has been at Rainbow since she was at nursery age and is now at their after-school club after entering full-time education. From the very first day, my daughter has loved going to Rainbow and to this day is always disappointed that I “pick her up too early” hahaha!

Personally, as a mother I have always felt like I’m dropping off my daughter at a place she loves, where she feels safe, was with staff members that truly care for her and have also built a great relationship with me as a parent as they are always so friendly and go out of their way to make parents and children feel valued and heard.

My daughter joined the nursery in April 2022 and I have nothing to say but positives. My daughter has thrived in their setting and this nursery supported all of the hospital workers throughout the pandemic. When I was offered a new role in the hospital, the nursery accommodated a change in days and hours to support this move. My daughter’s confidence, amazing speech and happiness is all thanks to the enthusiastic and caring members of staff that work at the Hospital Nursery

The staff at Rainbow Day Nursery are amazing, they are also kind and caring. Both my kids have been going for a few years and have never been sad or happy to leave me. I know that they are well cared for and that the staff look after them well. On another note the nursery have been amazing through the pandemic. As an NHS nursery they have strived to keep open to allow us to go to work and have tried their best to make everything run as normal as possible. The manager is always very helpful when I need to change my days due to shift changes which is very helpful. This flexibility is something that is really valuable when you work shift work.

My daughter has been attending Rainbow Day Nursery since she was a year old and will be starting reception in September. She loves attending and has lots of little friends, as well as lovely relationships with the staff. The girls in the nursery worked tirelessly through the pandemic and always ensured the children were well cared for and safe. They do the best they can with the space within the building and encourage the children to play outside when possible. We will be sad when we don’t have to use the nursery any more but know the staff have made sure the children are as prepared as they can be for the transition to reception.

All the staff are so helpful and kind. My children absolutely love going to nursery and have some really special bonds with some of the staff. They all are incredibly hardworking and patient. They always listen to anything you have to say and consider each child as an individual. Many times they have helped me to exit my children from the building at the end of the day. The updates on the app are beautiful and communication is always excellent.

Staff are very kind and caring. We feel very welcomed every time we visit. Our daughter made huge improvements since starting nursery. We love the fact we have online updates every day she goes.

Honestly, I couldn’t ask for a better nursery and staff to provide me with childcare. The nursery is clean and the staff are great. This nursery caters to all my child’s needs i.e. milk-free meals and early morning drop-offs and evening pick-ups. She always has something new to tell me or show me something she’s learnt that day. They use a very useful app which I use to keep up to date with any news or event happening in the nursery or general activities my child has been up to throughout her day. My child really enjoys being at the nursery and will be sad to leave for school in September.

My daughter has been at Rainbow since she was 18 months old. I worried about her socialisation and speech due to being born during Covid, but she has come on leaps and bounds since joining. I am so thankful to all of the staff and managers for how well they look after my daughter, and feel so happy for her to go to nursery each day.

My son is 2 years old and has been attending Rainbow Day Nursery since he was 14 months. He always seems so happy there! All of the staff is very loving, caring and supportive. I always found the key workers to be very welcoming, communicative and supportive. They do lots of different activities to improve children’s learning and development and ensure parents are involved too! Also it’s lovely to see all the pictures and videos of our children that they regularly send. I highly recommend Rainbow Day Nursery.

My son is 18 months and has been attending full-time since January – we couldn’t be happier!
Not only is Rainbow Day Nursery one of the most cost-effective options in the local area, but the team are also incredible and made my son feel right at home from his very first day.
As a parent, it’s so reassuring to see him so happy and excited on drop-off in the mornings. He is always especially excited to see his key worker and I can go to work with zero mum guilt knowing he’s happy.
The team will let me know on pick up what he’s eaten, how long his nap was and the number of nappies he’s got through that day as well as any other stand-out bits of info.
I am so glad we picked Rainbow and would recommend them to anybody!

Rainbow has provided a caring and nurturing environment for our child. The staff are caring professionals who look at the needs of the individual child. There is great communication between the nursery and parents, and they offer a supportive environment for families.
The nursery is a welcome and inviting space for children, and the activities are stimulating and varied.
