Woodlea House Day Nursery & Pre-School

Sending your child to a brand new nursery is always daunting when you have no feedback to read, no Ofsted report or any recommendation but honestly, I wouldn’t let this put you off. The staff are great, my little one loves going in and they always offer a wide range of activities for the children. I would highly recommend Woodlea and think they are doing a great job. The app is also great and we love to see the updates each day.

My daughter started with Woodlea House when it first opened in January, she’s never been to a nursery setting before so this was a first time experience for both me and my daughter. When I went to look around it was in the process of being built. But when I walked through the door and had a conversation with the owner about the nursery and what they had to offer, I knew I wanted her to come here. I wanted somewhere that’s got a homely feel but also somewhere her development could thrive and I generally feel that this is the place for that. But I can honestly say I’m so happy that I chose to send her here, she comes out happy every single time which makes me happy.
The owner and all the staff are so lovely and I feel like nothing is ever a problem.
Would definitely recommend this nursery.

Absolutely cannot fault this nursery/preschool, staff are very welcoming and professional.
Drop off and pick up is very, very smooth!
The children learn really good life skills but at the same time, they can still be children and have fun without even realising what they are learning.
The facilities are outstanding and the cleanliness is incredible.
No hesitation in recommending Woodlea, it is fantastic.

Our son started at Woodlea House in January 2022. He has settled in so quickly and loves being there.
The staff have been so supportive when mummy has had a few moments. It can be difficult leaving your child for the first time but I just knew straight away this nursey was special.
They have an on-site chef/nutritionist, how fab is that! It’s nice to see so many activities taking place and the outside space is fantastic!
I was impressed with the toilet facilities as they have a wet room where the children are completely washed down should they have an accident – I hadn’t seen that anywhere else.
I feel my son is going to grow and develop as he is already showing this in his first 6 weeks.

I can’t fault this nursery – my son started when it first opened and I am so glad I changed his nursery to Woodlea House. The manager is approachable and genuinely cares about the children and their families. The nursery staff are friendly, full of enthusiasm and it is clear that they love their jobs and helping the children develop.
They supply lovely home-cooked food and they have encouraged him to try new foods he hasn’t tried before, the outside area has been perfectly created for toddlers.
I love that they update the app during the day with photos and food, nappy changes and naps. It’s such a relief to know that your child is in the safest of hands whilst at work.

Absolutely fantastic nursery. Beautiful surroundings and the staff are so caring and loving. It feels like home the minute you walk through the door. My daughter goes to two sessions a week and her development improves each and every time she attends. Feel so lucky and grateful to be a part of the Woodlea House journey.

I could not rate Woodlea high enough, the nursery is fantastic! I was, like any first-time mum, dreading giving my child to someone else to care for, but I can honestly say, after the first week I could not have been happier. They had a fantastic settling-in process which got myself and my daughter used to the transition and made me feel totally at ease. Their care and the love they show my daughter is just amazing – from all the staff. Their facilities are fantastic, very clean, loads of different things for your child to do and brilliant learning tools. They share pictures of your child and notes from the day so you know what they’ve been up to. And they help incorporate things from home into nursery life (such as dropping naps/potty training etc). My daughter is so happy there and I am so so pleased the manager set up this nursery. Thank you so much for looking after my little girl, like a home away from home.

We highly recommend Woodlea House, our son has been going there for seven months now and loves it. They create so many fun activities for the children and really put thought and effort into creating them. The facilities are great and the staff are all lovely. The menu is always changing and they have some great options. Our son settled in really quickly and happily toddles in every day.

Amazing nursery, always makes you a little nervous leaving your little one for the first time, but the team at Woodlea couldn’t have made it easier. My child always comes home having had great experiences and demonstrating new skills every week. I would thoroughly recommend it.

First of all, I’m not surprised this nursery has been classified as one of the best in the South West for the second year running. In our opinion, the nursery is outstanding across all elements, it’s by far the best we have come across and believe me we have looked at a great deal of places. We are two miles from the nursery and do have places closer to home but nothing comes close to Woodlea House Day Nursery & Pre-School. The owners ooze passion and truly love the nursery, staff and children. They put an enormous amount of time and effort into the site which you can clearly see – if you have the opportunity to send your child here, grab it with both hands.
