Woodlands Nursery at Beechwood Park School

Woodlands is a fantastic and nurturing space that I really feel the children are lucky to be at. All children seem so happy there and the staff are all so professional and thoughtful, both on the pastoral and academic side. They have seen it all before and really work with a child-centred approach to bring the best out of the children.

Woodlands Nursery has excellent facilities in a beautiful countryside location. Of particular note is the large and well-equipped woodland area used for forest school activities. However, the most important part of any nursery is the staff and Woodlands has assembled a truly dedicated team of teachers who go beyond the call of duty to provide an educational and nurturing environment for pre-school children. My son runs in every morning without a backward glance and has been known to complain about being collected because he was having too much fun. This fun is combined with a syllabus of phonics, language, maths and science, tailored to each child, that is never pressured but gives the children a head start in Reception class when they start school.

This is my second child to go through Woodlands and I cannot rate this nursery highly enough. The love, support and incredible creativity the children receive on a daily basis is out of this world. They are challenged and engaged and each child is seen as a complete individual with play and learning tailored to their specific needs and preferences. I would encourage all local families to go to an open day and see for yourself how very special it really is!

Our daughter has been attending Woodlands for almost a year and she absolutely loves it. The staff there are wonderful – friendly, kind, caring and supportive – and the variety of fun, creative and educational activities they offer on a daily basis is amazing.
When she first joined our daughter was quite shy and nervous but she has really blossomed over the last twelve months. The staff have taken the time to get to know her individually and we have worked together to develop her confidence and prepare her for school.
We couldn’t be happier with the nursery and think it provides the perfect balance of care and early education in a safe and welcoming environment.

I would strongly recommend Woodlands to any parent who is looking for a nurturing and highly engaging environment where kids can thrive and learn while having fun. The staff are amazing, they truly care about the well-being of the kids. Facilities are superb and outdoor activities take place every day. We can see children’s activities via the online journal and there is ongoing two-way communication. Our daughter loves Woodlands and she is thriving there. After school care, in-house, is great too, as they provide tea and activities which is super convenient for working parents.

The most caring, nurturing and kind nursery you will ever find. The teachers are more than staff, they care deeply about the children (and the parents), they are more like family. Highly recommended.
Quite remarkably at such a young age, the children are taught Phonics, French, Maths, Science, PE and more and in such a fun way, that they don’t want to come home and run into classes in the morning.
There are constant daily updates given by the teachers to the parents so you always know how your child is feeling/progressing. An extremely safe place for the children and the management is second to none, you couldn’t get a better manager who cares about the children and teaches them with kindness and care.

The Woodlands Nursery at Beechwood Park School is like no other. The indoor space is open, bright and colourful. There is ample outdoor space too, with a garden as well as woods and a Forest School. The children all go in happy and leave happy. Two out of three of my children have now been there and both have thrived. I can’t wait for the third to join! Thank you to all the amazing staff for giving our kids such a wonderful first experience of a learning environment.

Woodlands is absolutely fantastic. My son is acquiring a thirst for knowledge and learning as well as coming home so happy each day he attends. The staff are so lovely, caring, personable and extremely innovative! They ensure the children are always busy with creative activities that spark their interests, adapting their plans to suit the needs of the children.

We are so lucky to have both of our boys looked after by Woodlands. My second child just joined Woodlands after Easter. He adapted to the routine so quickly and is thoroughly enjoying himself, as expected! Every morning he runs in with a big smile and without looking back. It is such a wonderful place that you will be so confident to leave your child with. The teachers are doing so well in teaching our little ones while nurturing them too. The manager and the team have always been exploring new methods and materials to stimulate children to learn. You can see that they are constantly upgrading their facility too. One extra benefit of going to Woodlands is the massive outdoor field for the little ones to explore. Overall, I would have no hesitation to recommend Woodlands!

Our daughter loves Woodlands. Staff are very caring, and they take time to meet each kid’s individual needs. Communication is fluid with both management and staff, and we receive periodic updates on our girl’s development via the app. Outdoor facilities are superb, and Forest School is a plus. The days are very different for the kids – they have multiple activities – you see kids very happy there! They engage and nurture them. Highly recommended!
