My daughter really enjoys going to Tockington Manor Nursery. The outdoor space is amazing and the children spend lots of time outside and have dedicated nature days. They have access to the school swimming pool and swimming is part of the weekly activities in the final pre-school year. I have been impressed with the learning through play and the more structured learning including learning languages, doing creative artwork and learning letters and numbers. The nursery children recently performed their Christmas play and they all sang and acted beautifully. They eat food in the school dining room and the menu is healthy, varied and delicious. There are many family events throughout the year such as Bonfire Night, Christmas Fayre, Easter Egg Hunt and Family Fun Day. Thoroughly recommended.

Lovely caring environment adaptable to every child. Tockington Manor School Nursery is offering above and beyond the standard curriculum. This is our second child attending and I cannot praise it more.

The nursery has a fantastic, clean, organised environment for the children. The outdoor space is especially good. They do many activities with the children and put much thought into the schedule. Activities are fun, seasonal and designed to promote the child’s development. The staff are all friendly and dedicated, clearly caring for the wellbeing of the children.

I have one child who has been through the nursery and another who has just started.

The staff are fantastic and caring, and treat each child as individuals and work with us, the parents, to ensure that the children get the most out of their time there.

The nursery rooms are full of crafting materials and a large assortment of toys and educational resources.

They are always decorated with current themes (like Chinese New Year) and use play and cookery to talk through the themes with even the youngest children.

The outside space is second to none. Within 2 feet of the front and back doors of the nursery there are areas for hard standing, gardens and an area for the guinea pigs and the vegetable patch.

The wider school grounds are fun to explore with two ponds, woods, Astroturf and adventure play area.

The food is varied and delicious (the catering team also cater for school functions so I can personally vouch for the quality of the food).

As a family, we love this nursery!

Our daughter has excelled at Tockington Manor Nursery, from the first day we bundled her into her uniform and through the door right up to now over a year on. She transitioned from her previous nursery without a problem.
Creative play and confidence feature highly, with regular feedback given, and online postings of activities and play.
We know how much our daughter loves being outdoors, and she is constantly telling us, come rain or shine, of the exciting things she has discovered on one of her nature walks.
The staff have all been lovely, and the communication and handovers just right.
The true test is the recommendation, and my wife and I, do this to all the new parents we know who live in the area. Our second daughter is due to start this year, and we know she will be in good hands each day she is there.
Hopefully, the nursery will be able to open from 1-year onwards in the future, we would gladly have started with them then.

I would highly recommend Tockington Manor nursery. I have been so impressed with every aspect of what they offer. The facilities are well organised and maintained, and the rooms are full of engaging activities for the children. The staff are wonderfully supportive, caring, and go the extra mile for every child. They really get to know each child and work with them so they can reach their full potential. The preschool activities really do prepare the children for the next step, so the transition to primary school doesn’t feel like a big leap. My son’s confidence and independence have grown so much because of the attention and encouragement he has received from all the staff. On top of all these outstanding points, there are also amazing outdoor spaces that the children explore regularly, delicious and nutritious hot food, and regular communication for the parents. In summary, Tockington Manor Nursery is superb!

Our daughter started at the nursery at 2 and was initially quite unsettled, but we have been incredibly impressed with the effort that the nursery has made to settle her in. They always seem to be doing a huge range of activitwoies, including lots of physical play, and they have a huge amount of fun. Our daughter particularly enjoys being outside and has loved all the environmental walks that they have done and the activities. They seem to do lots of things to help develop the children through play; she has come home learning lots of new songs, games and has picked up letter sounds already. She really loves her key worker who has shown a real keenness to get to know our daughter and what she likes to do. We had some issues with potty training, and the nursery was fantastic in supporting us and in introducing initiatives, which helped us at home. They are also incredibly supportive in terms of making things work for us as busy parents and are very flexible.

Both my son and presently my daughter, are excited and happy to attend this nursery! I couldn’t think of a safer and better place for my child to be at during the weekdays! Even during the pandemic, the nursery has kept a high level of professionalism and gave us the confidence that they are doing the best they can to keep our children educated and safe! Both of my children have developed many educational skills while at this nursery, and I am confident they are perfectly equipped to start school after finishing nursery! We can’t thank the staff enough for their support and efforts!

We moved our daughter to Tockington as soon as she was at the minimum age, and she has flourished ever since.
The grounds speak for themselves, surrounded by woodlands and use of the school’s grounds and fields etc.
The food is varied and fresh and always a highlight of my daughters day.
There is clearly a strong focus on manners and vocabulary, which has really aided my daughter’s social development.
The real shining stars of this nursery, however, are the staff. Three particular ladies are some of my daughters favourite human beings in the whole wide world (her words not mine!) and it is clear to see why. All the staff I have come across are friendly, approachable and know the children very well.
The manager of the nursery is always on hand if you have any questions, and you always receive prompt responses to any questions.
I will be sad when my daughter leaves the nursery, as will she!

Tockington is a lovely nursery with caring and warm practitioners. My daughter has been at the nursery for a term now, and she is very settled and happy. The team have been great in making her feel at home and helping her grow and develop. We feel as though the nursery is really part of our team when it comes to raising our daughter. The fact she gets excited to attend every day shows us just how happy she is to be here.

Both of my sons are at Tockington Manor Nursery, one in the younger ‘Woodpeckers’ class and the other in the ‘Owls’. They are both so happy there! Even early on when they were hesitant being left, they were both settled within minutes of me leaving, and the staff were so kind with them which made it easier! Great things include the grounds, varied activities but most importantly to me, the staff who are genuinely interested in the children and really focus on their individual needs to bring them on. They each have a key person who seems to be whomever they most naturally bond with, but I’ll resist special mentions as they’re all lovely! They’re also, fantastic support to me as a worrier mum! They support or reassure where appropriate and have always been so willing to spend time talking me through ‘challenging’ spells we may have with the boys, and the manager always makes time for ‘bigger picture’ conversations, especially through the pandemic, which has been brilliant. Thoroughly recommend the nursery.

Tockington Manor Nursery ticks all the boxes of an exceptional nursery. Our daughter has flourished here, due to the range and breadth of learning experiences provided by the warm, friendly and professional staff. She is now more than ready for ‘big’ school and we are counting down the weeks until our youngest can start!

My son has been at this nursery just coming up to a year at Easter, he struggled to settle but with the support and love he received from the staff in Woodpecker 2 and then in Owls he has come to love it. They have supported us with development delays and toilet training and are always there for a chat if needed.
My son leaves this summer to go to school and I really can’t thank the staff enough for getting him ready for the next big adventure.

My son has been very happy at Tockington Manor Nursery since he started aged 2. It is a wonderful environment for children to learn and play, with beautiful outside space and acres of ground to run around in and explore. The staff are extremely caring and always happy to discuss any concerns. In the Owls class (3 and 4-year-olds) they are helping them prepare for school with things like weekly swimming lessons and eating lunch in the school dining room. As a parent I couldn’t ask for more from the nursery or the staff and my son will leave happy, confident and ready for school!

Tockington Manor Nursery is a very good nursery. Definitely have a lot to offer the children such as cookery, environmental play, learning different languages and swimming. I’ve definitely seen my children progress and develop a lot since joining. They could improve however in communication with the parents and support for children with SEN but other than that it’s a great place.

Tockington Manor Nursery is an amazing place. Our daughter is the happiest girl there. The staff is really professional, they have a key person who truly cares about the well-being of your child. They all know all the names of the children, which creates an easier and safer environment. The school grounds are incredible and offer a huge variety of exploring experiences. They work hard on multiculturalism, which is the main reason why we particularly chose them. The team manager is always available and open to talk to us. We are absolutely sure of the positive impact that the nursery has created in our daughter and we can’t wait for our baby to start going too.

Superb nursery setting, the staff are all fantastic. Settled in incredibly. Loves the variety of activities, engaging and fun learning. The grounds are beautiful seeing the children spend lots of time exploring outside. Very nurturing, and focused on child development.
Genuinely feel development has accelerated at Tockington, with early learning of language, speech and vocabulary.

My son started at the nursery back in September 2022 and has grown in confidence so much over the academic year. The children have a brilliant variety of activities each day and have a beautiful landscape to explore.
The staff are all so welcoming and friendly, my son is always greeted with a smile. The preschool group also have swimming lessons and French.
This is a great environment for children starting school and getting familiar with school life.
