At the Red house nursery we have a strong understanding our children learn and discover through the magic of play.
Play improves the cognitive, physical, social and emotional wellbeing of children and young people. Through play, children learn about the world and themselves.
As a setting we have introduced a method of planning which has the child as the centre- in the moment planning.
In the moment planning is centred on the idea that children have a natural curiosity and the desire to learn. Therefore instead instead of directing them through pre-set experiences, carers in the setting observe and discuss with the children what they would like to learn and discover through their own interests. This gives the children the understanding and freedom to choose activities based on what they will enjoy rather than pre planned.

Clever, kind, sharing and bright and I know a huge part of this is her care from Red House. She has learnt so much to get her ready for school and great character skills. Every day I pick her up, she has always had a great, fun day. And I love the effort they go into for holiday seasons.

She has progressed a lot since starting nursery and enjoys being there. She tells me about her day and about the staff members and looks forward to going to nursery.
