The Pump House Day Nursery

My daughter attends The Pump House Day Nursery. I find it to be an extremely warm and inclusive environment. Although starting nursery during Covid was not the experience I had originally imagined, (wearing a mask every day and keeping distance makes it harder to get a sense of things) the staff have been amazing at adapting to what I imagine has been an enormous challenge for them. From what I can tell, they are an amazingly kind bunch, and my daughter is making huge leaps in confidence and ability since going there. They always make an effort to have a bit of a chat, and I get the feeling they know all the children individually really well. My daughter is excited to go to the nursery, and that is the best review I can possibly give. Would definitely recommend.

My daughter started at Pump House when she was 11-months-old. She loves it at Pump House. She has bonded well with the caring teachers and staff. As a parent, I feel reassured knowing that my child is in the care of people who know how to nurture and engage with such young ones in a way that stimulates and develops them. The activities and outdoor play seem to be well thought out and enjoyable for the babies. Pump House also maintains good communication with parents. Would highly recommend this nursery.

The nursery staff are caring, friendly and brilliant! Gives excellent feedback on my daughter, informing me on her day, what she’s played with, the mood she’s been in etc.
Pump House nursery is full of fun, life and colour! The atmosphere and environment are always happy!

I found the nursery very clean. Impressions from the staff was very good, very attentive and polite. I must say management was very clear and concise about what their nursery was about and not leaving anything to imagination.

The baby room staff are brilliant. They make our baby feel safe and happy. They come up with different activities every day to keep the babies engaged and stimulated. Our baby has developed so much since being at The Pump House. The babies also have a really good space – it’s big and there are various different areas and toys for them to explore.

My twins have been attending this nursery since they turned two in September, and they love going here. The teachers help them settle in so well. After one of my twins would still cry when being dropped off after four weeks, he now runs in and leads me out the door! Before they went here, one of them wouldn’t speak, and within four weeks he was speaking and every day they are both learning more and more. They have a chef that makes a variety of food with a new menu posted, and a handy app where they upload everything in real-time from nappy change, to how much they ate, and nap times and can message directly to the teachers in their room if needed. Highly recommend.

My little one has been at Pump House Nursery and it has been overall a great experience. There was a period of adjusting but all of the staff were so nice, and understanding and provided helpful and reasonable advice. I feel as though the staff have a connection with my daughter, which puts my mind more at ease as I work full time. My daughter has a smile on her face going in and usually seems to really enjoy going. I am happy with my experience so far at Pump House.

I’m really impressed since placing our child here, it was a great decision having already tried a few nurseries in Brentford. There is a really high standard of care and most importantly, the staff are all conscientious, fun, attentive, vocal, caring, patient, great with the children and clearly happy at work and enjoying the job. There’s a really good vibe and energy in this nursery, even though the staff must be tired with all those toddlers! The staff actively listen when taking on your concerns and follows through on these things well. The manager is always there, always available and clearly runs a good and tight ship. He seems to be coming up with innovative ways to improve things and also to make the place welcoming and fun for the children. Finally, their communications are fantastic, updates all day, good digital platform for access to information and feedback. Observations are regular and clearly thought through. The staff are awesome!

Our daughter has been attending the Pump House Day Nursery (baby room) since she was only 3 months old, and we have been so impressed with how quickly she settled in. She has developed very strong bonds with her key worker as well as with other lovely staff in the baby’s room. She always seems so happy to go in the morning! She has also become a really sociable child, and we love to see the regular baby’s room updates throughout the week and detailed development updates about her every month. We cannot speak highly enough of this wonderful nursery!

A lovely welcoming environment, all the staff are friendly and great with the children! Our daughter is happy there and that is all we want when she is in someone else’s care. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nursery for their child.
