The Little Tug Boat Day Nursery

The team are super attentive, extremely supportive, knowledgable, organised, compassionate, affectionate and compassionate. The atmosphere at Tugboat is inviting, enjoyable, cheerful and welcoming and feels like an extension of our own family. Our kid adores Tugboat and has grown in self‑assurance since attending. On occasion our kid has refused to come home due to having such a great time! The team at Tugboat are extremely great at dealing with kids with allergies and adapt their food menus for those who have issues. They are also very great at supporting kids who have health issues. The kids that attend Tugboat are compassionate, attentive and thoughtful, qualities/behaviours that are very much encouraged by the Tugboat team. Instead of sending our kid to one of the many great local nurseries, we travel up to 1.5 hours a day (London traffic!) to enable our kid to attend Tugboat. The BEST childcare centre in Fulham/Putney by far. Tugboat is an exceptional family run childcare centre.

We used another childcare centre locally for our first kid but it was disorganised and food cooked offsite.
The chef at Tug Boat has an incredible kitchen, the food is a really important for me, menus are super and published every Friday for the following week. Newsletters are regular and invoicing correct.
It is extremely well run and every single team member from room team to the manager and owners are very welcoming, expert and approachable.
The garden is a little small and there are no balance bikes but it more than makes up for this with lesson planning, little ipad use and the structure of kids’s days. Security is also outstanding, only one main front door which is well controlled by all.
Birthday cakes are made for each kid and sugar is controlled, no snacks can be bought into the premises which is excellent.
I cannot suggest a look around enough.
We have been there one year so this review relates to 2016 in its entirety. The Little Tug Boat is remarkable.

She has quickly adopted the Tug Boat principles, which include having great manners, treating people with respect, having the self‑assurance to try new things and making great choices. She loves going to childcare centre and there is such a variety of creative activities she gets to do indoors and outdoors, including cooking, outings to the park, yoga, library time, etc. The food is freshly cooked and healthy and now my daughter eats her vegetables at home – so I am cheerful too. I adore the daily updates I get from the educators when I pick her from childcare centre – I am consistently aware of what she is discovering. We adore the homely setting in the childcare centre, which brings about a closeness between parents, kids and team alike. The owners and team at The Little Tug Boat Day Childcare centre are compassionate, supportive and enjoyable and my daughter adores them. I can’t speak highly enough of The Little Tug Boat Day Childcare centre – we couldn’t be happier. Since starting The Little Tug Boat Day Childcare centre, my daughter has grown in self‑assurance, socially as well as academically.

Perfect balance of discovering while having enjoyable. It’s a lovely family atmosphere and the team is absolutely incredible with the kids.

Very pleased and would highly suggest to anyone for the below reasons:
– Privately-owned with family feeling
– Attentive, positive and lovely educators and management
– Discovering presented in an interesting and appealing manner for the kids, amazed how much she learned and repeated back to us
– Organic delicious food with varying menu, kids get to try different cuisines. My daughter would rave about the food every day
– Structured day, kids know what to expect from the day; garden time daily.
– Preparing confident learners ready for the ‘big’ school.

It’s hard to name any negatives, but if I had to, I would mention that childcare centre outdoor facilities are quite small. Kids didn’t seem to mind though. I hope now that Covid restrictions are getting lifted, the childcare centre can take advantage of the nearby park and resume weekly outdoor adventures. Silver lining of Covid – we were lucky to get a spot for my daughter in this lovely childcare centre for the final year before school.

The team are very loving and attentive. When I drop off my son I am consistently sure he is very well looked after. Best childcare centre in Fulham and the best I could wish for my son.

It’s a lovely, inviting childcare centre and really feels like the setting I would have created for him these past few years if I were to design something from scratch. The team are incredibly responsive – they have a fantastic way of interacting with him (and all the kids) that really respects and responds to who they are as individuals. That his educators connect so well with him is highlighted by how cheerful he is when he realises it’s a ‘Tug Boat day’! Updates with the parents is remarkable and reflects how much they care about the kids. In fact, I think his educators are even more proud of every achievement and milestone than I am! (Well, maybe equally proud.) My son has been at Little Tug Boat since he was 8 months old – he is now nearly 4!

Its been excellent to see my son and daughter so cheerful to spend the day with little friends, discovering fantastic new things, and coming home cheerful and brimming with ideas to share. Its excellent to sense welcome to their daily breakfasts and catch up at the end of the day to know what the kids have been up to. The team are all so inviting and compassionate and welcoming. Tug Boat has been a fantastic place for the early years. Tug Boat has been really excellent for my kids, and so supportive to us as working parents.

It is such a fantastic place for my daughter to learn, grow and be cared for. I was worried about going back to work but the team helped make it so easy because I didn’t need to worry about how my daughter was doing, I knew she would be loving her day! She gets to participate in a very wide variety of activities and consistently comes home having done something new. I could highly suggest Little Tug Boat to anyone looking for a childcare centre for their little one. I adore Little Tug Boat.

We felt it from the first enquiry to where we are now six cheerful months in. The crew seem to like each other and adore the kids. It took a week or so of tears not just mine to settle. The crew could not have been more supportive.
Our girl now runs in and you can see her little face cease slightly as she decides whether to give hugs or sit down with her friends for a hearty breakfast. The childcare centre seems more laid back and gentle than some which suits us. That said she is stimulated and developing fast. Yoga is a lovely addition. Tug Boats is a family.
