September 2, 2024 at 7:06 pmThe kids in the childcare centre classes interact regularly with kids in the p1 – p4 classes and so when it is time for them to move on to p1, it doesn’t sense like a huge step at all.
The team in the childcare centre are outstanding and genuinely care about your kid and their development. They operate an extremely “open door policy” which allows parents to see exactly what is going on in the childcare centre on a day to day basis. It’s also open from 8-6 which is excellent for working parents. Both my kids attended the childcare centre and kindergarten at The Glasgow Academy Milngavie for 2 years and I cannot recommended it strongly enough.
The playroom is a very bright and stimulating setting and you know from day 1 that your kid is being cared for by team who genuinely care and your kid is certainly not “just another number”.
I particularly liked the focus on discovering through both playtime and more formal education and think it provides a seamless transition to the school which is also on site.

September 6, 2024 at 4:33 pmFabulous school, team, and a new outdoor discovering classroom on Barloch Moor. This hidden gem also is an East Dunbartonshire Partnership childcare centre so you get funding too (not many people realise this!). As a parent, you can’t fault it! My daughter went and my baby son will be going too. An outstanding place in an idyllic setting. I can’t suggest enough. I would suggest The Glasgow Academy Childcare centre Milngavie for when your kid turns 3 (go before to get your name down in advance).

September 8, 2024 at 3:08 pmChildcare centre/Kindergarten kids are included in many of the activities of the big school which my daughter has particularly enjoyed. Kids spend a great amount of the time outside exploring the local moor. Activities seem very varies and appropriate to age and stage of kids. Whenever I appear to collect all kids appear cheerful and actively engaged in childcare centre life. We are relatively new to the childcare centre but have so far found it to be very inviting, inclusive setting which encourages all kids to have a go. Very cheerful with our choice to date. Very inviting and attentive team, I cannot fault any one of the team.

September 29, 2024 at 6:18 pmI leave my kid and walk away feeling I have left him with a family member. Outstanding facilities and team are incredible! My son has developed at a high standard with his time at the kindergarten. Overall outstanding. Over all outstanding childcare centre/kindergarten.

October 12, 2024 at 12:41 pmThe team are welcoming, nurturing, and have outstanding updates with parents. The activities on offer are super – PE with a specialist teacher, French, and varied and interesting choice of projects to have enjoyable with and facilitate discovering. The playroom is full of activities for the kids to delight in and there are lots of outdoor toys too. A remarkable childcare centre that’s extremely well run. The childcare centre gives kids a excellent start! My daughter has been attending the childcare centre for nearly a year and I cannot suggest it highly enough.

January 27, 2025 at 11:45 amMy little girl loves it there. Team are so welcoming and obviously care a excellent deal about each kid. I can’t stress enough how cheerful I am to leave her there each day as I know she’s really cared for. The childcare centre is flexible, with outstanding provisions for before/after school care. Parents are regularly updated and invited to watch their kid ‘in action’. Healthy foods at snack time. An incredible wee school in a excellent location. Can’t wait for my other kids to attend. Couldn’t be happier with the childcare centre.

February 6, 2025 at 12:58 amMy daughter loves it here, the kids are all cheerful and well looked after, and spend a lot of time outside playing with loose parts and getting muddy (in waterproofs!) exploring the fantastic Barloch Moor next door. Wide array of activities, from pyjama parties and pirate themes, to sponsored walks, outdoor theatre performances and incubated eggs in the classroom that kids were able to see hatching. The team are all remarkable, and there is lots of opportunity for parents to get involved with various activities. Highly recommended Outstanding childcare centre setting.

April 1, 2025 at 11:54 amThe only unfortunate thing is that it is a term time only childcare centre so for working parents childcare during the school holidays is challenging. The childcare centre facilities and team are outstanding.

April 25, 2025 at 5:45 pmFull of excellent educational resources and a large outdoor space. My son thoroughly enjoys attending the childcare centre and has come on so much academically. Highly suggest to any parent of 3 to 5 year olds. A fantastic setting where my kid has been well looked after.

April 30, 2025 at 7:23 pmThey all have a excellent understanding and knowledge of each kid and seem to teach with enthusiasm and praise which makes discovering enjoyable in the class. I am often surprised by the songs and topics that my kid comes home with and he is only in kindergarten. So I can’t wait for him to start P1. It is such a lovely school where it is situated the kids have a lot of outdoor activities and get to explore nature. I sense that with such a close-knit and welcoming school my kid is secure and cheerful to attend school every day. I am particularly impressed with the team at the childcare centre.

May 1, 2025 at 5:35 amThe nurturing, creative, thoughtful, enjoyable setting was ideal, and exactly what I was looking for.
From days out to musical performances, serving parents at a cream tea, lots of playing, reading, and their final tearful graduation, they enjoyed it all.
As a parent, I was delighted to see them both becoming enthused in class projects, discovering to write, taking a joy in reading, and hearing the odd French or Mandarin phrase at home consistently amazed me.
I was able to get involved with their lending library once a week which was lovely since it gave me time in the playroom. My two daughters thrived at The Glasgow Academy Childcare centre in Milngavie.

June 26, 2025 at 11:19 pmI bring my daughter from our home in Kirkintilloch to TGA Milngavie because it is without parrallel. The quality of the setting and team is second to none. Every single time I have visited I have been able to speak to either the Head of NK and/or the Head of TGA Milngavie. There is no issue or observation that is not listened to and acted upon. The parent group are fully engaged in the life of TGA Milngavie and the kids are all well mannered and well behaved. TGA Milngavie is part of the wider TGA family and with that provides an endless range of opportunities. I would encourage any parent to give TGA Milngavie childcare centre and kindergarten serious consideration. My younger daughter is already enrolled to join in Jan 2020. This is the best day childcare centre and kindergarten in the Glasgow area.
