DirectionsThe nursery is located in the centre of Stowmarket on Union Street West car park, just off Gipping Way road. The nursery is located 2 minutes walking distance from Stowmarket train station and minutes drive from the A14. It is also very close to bus routes. The Pre-school is just minutes away, also conveniently located in the centre of Stowmarket and opposite Stowmarket train station, on Station Road. The Pre-school is a 2 minute drive from the A14. Bus and train routes deliver right outside the premises.

All the girls seem approachable and friendly.

February 10, 2022 at 12:00 amMy daughter joined when she was 18-months-old. Due to lockdown, she had never been away from me, but after a few weeks, she settled in very well and now loves going in. The nursery and staff have been excellent with communicating with outside professionals and helping with referrals that my daughter has needed. The nursery has really helped with my daughter’s development, and would highly recommend to anyone.

February 10, 2022 at 12:00 amGreat staff and environment for the children that attend the nursery. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, and they are incredibly friendly and accommodating! Our son loves it there, so the only problem we will have is when he starts school and has to leave the nursery!

March 14, 2022 at 12:00 amOur daughter absolutely loves going to Sunhill. She is so happy to arrive in the morning, and the staff really care for her well-being. We get regular updates, and she is fed great home cooked meals. She has come on leaps and bounds since she has started going, and we couldn’t wish for a better nursery for her.

April 20, 2022 at 12:00 amIt’s a lovely nursery, the staff are absolutely amazing! The manager couldn’t be more helpful if he tried! My daughter has come on leaps and bounds since attending. However, the choice to stop pack lunches is a massive blow as this not only financially but makes it more difficult for my daughter to enjoy taking in her own lunch, which took alot of getting used to and unnecessary tantrums because she wasn’t allowed. Trying to contact head office is also not an easy task now it has been taken over by another company.

My child’s learning has really improved since attending their nursery.
I would highly recommend Sunhill to anyone who is looking for a calm and friendly environment to take their children.

April 20, 2022 at 12:00 amThe staff are all lovely, very good with the children. She will come back with her hair all brushed and put up, something I have great difficulty with presently as she is so strong-willed!
She has a lot of knowledge for a just turned 2-year-old, able to count to ten and name all the colours.
The staff spend a lot of time with the children giving reassurance and cuddles when needed which is really nice.
They also visit their other nursery which is close by, so the children get a variety and are able to mix with other children more.
I highly recommend the nursery and all the staff.

Very lovely environment and lovely people that my son has around at the nursery. Well done to all of you, and a big thank you to all of you.

July 28, 2022 at 12:00 amThe toilets were not clean and it was awful. Always my daughter gets an infection after nursery. One of the staff is so kind towards my daughter always. Other than that everything is fine to go.

August 2, 2022 at 12:00 amThe staff are very friendly and dedicated and know my child very well. My son has progressed so much since starting nursery and is very happy there. Even though the nursery does not have outside space, the staff plan and delivers a whole range of activities for the children to do, and they keep you updated with the app.

November 15, 2022 at 12:00 amAmazing nursery. The staff are all so wonderful with my boy and loves him so much. I don’t have to worry about him as I know he is in safe hands! I always get regular updates about the day in the app, as well as lots of photos, which make me feel at ease.

He is always so happy to be dropped off at the nursery, and his face lights up when we approach the nursery door. It is lovely to see the photos of him completing a range of activities, from crafts to building. Seeing him interact with other children at pick-up is just a wonderful experience, and the variety of food offered is great and nutritious.

November 29, 2022 at 12:00 amStaff are informative about the day your child is at the nursery. Friendly bunch. Their approaches are positive to the children’s behaviour. The facilities are always clean when I arrive, either start, middle or end of the day. Would highly recommend it. The learning aspect, I feel I can’t comment on as much, as I am not sure what they undertake in terms of learning; however, there is an area for sensory and also for reading, so I’m sure this goes hand in hand. If your child is fussy with food, they will cater to needs, and just overall, a really nice and helpful team and safe place, I feel I am leaving my child.

My child loves going to nursery, and even on the odd time, she’s unsure, they are very welcoming and encouraging!
They keep us informed and updated with activities, and the kids always look like they are having fun!
The nursery manager is great!

I was so anxious for my boys to start nursery, especially as I wouldn’t be there, but honestly, my mind was put at ease after the first 10 minutes. They always have so much fun and sleep so well that night! Wonderful place with wonderful people.

My son is thriving there, thanks to the staff’s care and attention. The activities they have set up look brilliant, and the communication throughout the day is outstanding. I cannot recommend this nursery enough.

July 12, 2023 at 12:00 amMy daughter who is six went to Sunhill from nine months old until school age, and now my son does. He started at around ten months old. At first, it took 2-3 weeks for him to settle in and get used to the new routine. All throughout this time, staff were kind and considerate and reassuring to both him and also me with good communication – even on his bad days. The staff are all fabulous and really friendly.
It’s now been two months, and he absolutely loves it. He comes home a very happy boy. Seeing what the nursery did for my daughter and now my son – even in such a short time is the reason I would absolutely recommend Sunhill.
I would say to any parents that you cannot expect the level of care that you would give your child when you’re at home. So yes, they may come home with a fuller nappy, snotty nose or covered in paint, but as long as they’re smiling – that’s all you can ask for.
Some members of staff are more forthcoming about your child’s day – that is the only constructive feedback that I would give.

August 1, 2023 at 12:00 amMy daughter loves all the staff and has made amazing friends. The manager is always accommodating to our needs if I need extra time booked in. Overall we have had a lovely experience so far and on occasions my daughter gets to mix with the older children which seems to be great for preparing her for preschool later this year.
