Stepping Stones Day Nursery - Worsley

He used to be really quiet and shy, didn’t want to playtime with kids, just me and my husband. I had my son during lockdown and it used to be just us three. Since he started childcare centre last year, he is very social, loves playing with kids, developed so many skills including communicating in two languages. He is bilingual and it took him a while to start talking but I want to say a massive thank you to all team at childcare centre who encouraged him throughout many creative activities. We practiced a lot at home to help and he became a very bright, attentive, independent little boy. Thank you so much for not only looking after our son, but making him sense secure and important, you make him sense like home. My son loves attending Stepping Stones Day Childcare centre.

Our little boy has been here since he was one. He is now two and a half years old and the childcare centre have been very supportive. The team are very attentive and understanding of my son’s needs and have helped him to do things independently and do a number of activities to keep him engaged and are aware of his interests. He has delayed language skills and they have liaised with other agencies and helped him to become more confident and improved his social skills. Our son is very settled and especially enjoys the outdoor space activities. We have had a positive journey at Stepping Stones.

He has learnt so much from attending here and they really do care for your kids. He absolutely loved his key workers and manager. I believe he is ready for school all thanks to stepping stones. He has become more confident and learnt a lot of new skills without even knowing he is discovering as they make everything enjoyable. They are very resourceful and teach the kids using different techniques to cater for each kid. Thank you for everything you have done for my son! My son attended here and I cannot suggest Stepping Stones enough.

The team, facilities and meal plans have been my favourite parts so far. The team in the baby room and in the office have been supportive with paperwork and really got to know our girls and how to make them comfortable being away from home for a full day, for the first time. I’m assured that they are well looked after, and they also give me, as their mum, reassurance and information as needed. The facilities are quaint and really allow for playtime and enjoyable for the babies. They go outside every day and really get messy, which I adore! Lastly, I sense like they eat healthy and often. My daughters are new to Stepping Stones and only there one day per week in the baby room.

She is now three, so she’s moved through all three rooms. In all cases, I can say that our journey at this childcare centre has been remarkable. Our daughter has flourished since she started attending Stepping Stones. She is an only kid, but her social journey has been so outstanding that nobody could tell that she has no siblings. She is cheerful every day that she gets to attend and has really strong relationships with many of the other kids and several of the childcare centre workers. Every week they set up some new and innovative activity for the kids to delight in, often using natural/recycled resources. The meals they serve are varied and nutritious and our daughter consistently eats everything! I cannot say enough great things about Stepping Stones and it will be a sad day when it’s time to leave! My daughter has been attending Stepping Stones since she was thirteen months.

They also made activities and resources based on his interests, needs and discovering styles which he has consistently thoroughly enjoyed! My son only does one day a week, which can be hard to get a full detail of his development but we are provided with a weekend book and home observation sheets which is a nice touch and helps me keep Childcare centre up to date with what he is discovering at home. We adore all the team, the discovering setting and we are very cheerful with the childcare centre. My little boy started at Stepping Stones back in May 2023.
My son has a excellent attachment to his key person as well as the other team in the under 2’s room, we sense very supported and nothing is ever too much for them when it comes to his care.
I was concerned about my son’s development before he started, the team have been excellent about my concerns and have made resources for me to take home to do with him.

One has moved into school and my youngest now attends. My youngest moved out of baby room recently. I can’t shout loud enough about the ladies in baby room. The activities are varied and they really care about the kids. Now, my son is in toddler room and he loves it there too. The girls invest themselves into the kids’s likes and dislikes and what they need. They get to know them so well. My son loves it and I’m glad he attends somewhere that makes him sense so comfortable. I’ve had two kids attend the childcare centre.
