March 5, 2019 at 12:00 amThis nursery is the best-kept secret of Belsize Park. The grounds are amazing, children play in the 3 acres of garden, football fields, with access to a greenhouse and a gerbil that kids love to feed.
The people who work here are kind, attentive, creative and obviously enjoy their work. Every day I go there, it is a pleasure to discover what activities my child will be doing. I always leave with a smile, knowing my child will be happy, learn in a positive environment, and come home in a good mood.

July 7, 2022 at 12:00 amI’m so grateful that my son got a place at The Secret Garden Nursery. Everything about it is fantastic. I’ve never once felt worried about leaving him because I just know he’s in the best hands and has so much fun. It is a caring and nurturing environment where my little boy feels safe to be himself and explore, and it’s going to stand him in the best stead to move on to the next stage of his school life when the time comes. The staff are all amazing, and it’s truly a joy to drop off and collect my child every day.

July 7, 2022 at 12:00 amAn absolute fantastic nursery! And this is hugely due to the staff; they are just such brilliant ladies.
A huge amount of time and effort that is taken is so visible in the preparation of activities and learning the children do during the day.
My daughter has warmed to all the staff so effortlessly that it puts my mind at ease knowing she’s in good care.
Honestly, couldn’t recommend Secret Nursery enough!

July 7, 2022 at 12:00 amBoth myself and my children have had the most wonderful experience at Secret Garden Nursery. The children are happy and confident and show continual growth and development not just academically but also socially and emotionally. The school practices a child-centric approach, and I feel completely confident that my children are in the very best of hands while they are in the nursery. Communication between the staff and myself have always been excellent, and I feel very connected to my children’s daily experience. My children run into nursery each day and talk about their teachers at home. Their language skills have vastly improved since joining in January. They come home with endless new facts I know they haven’t learned from me. Their outdoor facilities are incredible, and I love the fact that the children spend so much time outdoors, engaging their bodies and brains together.

July 8, 2022 at 12:00 amSecret Garden Nursery is a very special place which has it all; an incredible team of dedicated education professionals who nurture and care for each child and an amazing setting with an unbelievable amount of outdoor space for the little ones to learn, develop and grow. The range of learning through play activities that the creative team plan for the children is highly impressive. My son has been extremely happy over the past year at Secret Garden Nursery and is well-prepared for reception class in the new academic year. I cannot recommend this nursery highly enough!

July 12, 2022 at 12:00 amI have had the best experience at Secret Garden Nursery. My daughter has attended for two years, and I visited a lot of nurseries in the area, and this by far is the best – spacious grounds, brilliant activities and trips. The staff are amazing, so supportive and caring, and I can’t thank them enough!

July 14, 2022 at 12:00 amOur girl is beaming with happiness whenever she talks about school. She is calm – she negotiates with kindness and affection for others. She is brave and has boundless curiosity. Much of this I think is thanks to school. They provide an excellent education and let the kids be kids in a zen setting. I trust everyone so much there. I feel lucky to be there.

July 14, 2022 at 12:00 amSecret Garden Nursery is a truly a hidden gem! I felt it was the right place for my daughter from the very first visit. The nursery itself is gorgeous and very organised. The outdoor space is massive and is utilised to the fullest. The manager and teachers are fantastic, playful, loving, creative, energetic and very knowledgeable. My daughter adjusted very quickly to the nursery (no surprise there!) and formed very close bonds with her teachers. She is always very eager and happy to go every morning and reluctant to leave the nursery at pick up time! She has learned so much since she started and is becoming a compassionate and considerate person already, which is wonderful to see. My daughter has made a lot of friends although she was shy and reserved at the beginning (she’s also the youngest in her group). Having so much space, choice, freedom and encouragement allowed her to do things at her own pace which made settling easy and boosted her confidence greatly!

July 19, 2022 at 12:00 amWe love Secret Garden and the staff.
Who’d believe Central London has a nursery with 3 acres of outdoor space? Children settle in well and are comfortable, happily running up the path to start a day divided between the classroom, play equipment, sports pitches, mud kitchen, summerhouses and flowerbeds. Staff are engaged with our son’s needs and demonstrate care for his welfare and happiness. They know his personality and understand relationships between classmates. Parent/teacher dialogue is excellent, with daily updates and constant feedback.
Conflicts between children are resolved effectively and sensitively.
Our son has loved the activities, including cross-town theatre visits, weekly projects, stacking blocks, digging sand, and painting, plus yoga, football and tennis.
We look forward to hearing about the next trip (to the Farm) from our excited son!
We like how the children come from diverse backgrounds and are exposed to each other’s languages, cultures and food.

July 19, 2022 at 12:00 amWe have had an amazing experience with our son in his first term at the Secret Garden Nursery. It is truly a hidden gem for London! The outdoor space is massive, and we are so thankful our child gets to spend all day playing outside doing wonderful activities like mud kitchen, growing flowers, and even learning in an outdoor classroom. The staff is incredibly kind, communicative and attentive to the details of your child, partnering with the parents to work on their child’s development and needs. Our son has truly thrived there; he had grown and learned so much academically and socially this past term. We have really seen him blossom! I am so thankful he gets to go to such a great nursery each day, and I am excited to see how he continues to learn and grow this next year!

August 5, 2022 at 12:00 amSecret Garden is such a lovely nursery. The staff are all brilliant and so caring. My daughter hadn’t been away from me before starting nursery, and at first, I was reluctant to put her in a nursery setting until I viewed Secret Garden. They have amazing facilities, and my daughter walked off with two teachers to explore. She didn’t care where I was, I could have left there and then! Whereas in other nurseries, she just clung to me and hid behind my legs. She was three and a half when started nursery and always came out smiling and telling me everything they had done during the day.
My mind was at ease with my daughter being in this setting. I just wish I found it sooner. We both will truly miss this nursery, as well as all the staff as my daughter is due to start school in September.

February 12, 2023 at 12:00 amWe feel so lucky to be a part of the Secret Garden family. The team brings real magic, mischief and nature into the setting: storybooks turn into real nursery plots, where the toddlers become heroes to save the day – learn to help others; problem-solve; learn ethics, fine motor skills, teamwork, and activate their imagination along the way: this is all because a spirited, united team comes together with ingenious ideas for how to extend the play, and extend it again, creating so much content for young minds to grow and imagine. The activities are academically grounded yet always fun and exciting. Childhood is preserved: messy play is messy; the building is big; natural hiding places ignite all the senses and feel safe for introverts or extroverts. Children win confidence and freedom of spirit here. Yoga, full-sized sports pitch and coach, cooking and woodwork- The lessons are thought out by the team with devotion, love, brilliance and detail. Best kept secret in North London for sure!
