Purple Bees Day Nursery Curriculum
Here at Purple Bees, we offer a play-based day with hidden learning to be found in every activity!
We provide well-planned indoors and outdoors experiences based on each child’s individual interests. Our team will support all children so they can learn through play and enjoy the learning experience through a balance of child-initiated and adult-led play-based activities.
We use the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) as a starting point for our educational programme. The Early Years Foundation Stage is a statutory framework that is fully embedded in all aspects of nursery life.
Our educational programme allows children to experience quality learning and development opportunities, from the day a child starts until the day we say goodbye.
Purple Bees provides all children with a firm foundation on which to build future academic, social and emotional success.

March 16, 2021 at 12:00 amWhen I had to return back to work, I was researching to see which nursery to put my child in after looking at four places and Purple Bees Day Nursery had stood out the most. The staff are pleasant and welcoming, I was anxious when I had to leave my child but the staff had always reassured me and settled my child in well. I get to see the activities on a family app of what my child does and eats. During the lockdown, the staff were so supportive and had made it safe for my child to come in. I would recommend this nursery and would rate it five star.

March 16, 2021 at 12:00 amMy eldest son joined in 2016 and his brother and sister joined in 2019. We looked at six nurseries in the area before we chose Purple Bees Day Nursery. We immediately felt it was the right fit for us and have not looked back since. My children are all very happy and have made some very good friends. The staff are absolutely great, from the key workers up to management. There have been times that I have needed last minute swaps or extra days and they have bent over backwards to try to accommodate the kids. Covid-19 has been especially tough but again they rose to the challenge and I feel completely safe leaving the kids. I would not have been able to be a critical worker if I had not had their support. I can only work effectively because I know my kids are safe, happy and having fun at nursery.

We have always felt reassured going off to work and leaving our sons with the friendly and warm team. They also were amazing in supporting our eldest who has significant additional needs.

April 16, 2021 at 12:00 amI had brought my son in for a preschool tour and he simply loved it. That gave me the confidence in knowing this is a great preschool for my son. He really enjoyed the activities that were available on site, also he interacted well with the staff members which was fantastic to see. As I know he will enjoy his time at preschool. I really would recommend parents sending their children here as I’m sure the kids would have a good experience.

I had done my research before choosing Purple Bees and haven’t been disappointed in any way. The staff are extremely helpful and caring. They genuinely love children and my son loves going in. He spends most of his week there and I am stress-free when he is at the nursery. The manager and the team are just the best in dealing with both children and parents. I wish them good luck and a big thank you.

However, the management at Purple Bees was so welcoming and reassuring when we looked around that we were instantly put at ease. Our daughter settled in quicker than we ever imagined, thanks to the lovely staff and her key worker. She went from being a little shy and only clinging to her keyworker, to becoming confident and interacting with her friends in her room. She would always leave the nursery with a smile and always talked about her days at nursery with so much enthusiasm. The management and staff are all very caring, supportive and approachable. Honestly can’t praise the team enough for the amazing work they all do. We are so glad we chose this nursery for our daughter.

Always struggling with finding someone or a place to leave my little daughter whilst I am gone for work, the budget also was an issue as a single mother. The manager and her team have made a sure difference in our lives. She was so caring and understanding about our situation and did all she could to help us find the solution. The teachers always pay attention to my daughter and they are lovely, friendly and make you trust and feel comfortable leaving your child with them. So that’s the experience I had and do recommend Purple Bees for those who are looking for a nice place to leave the little ones!

Staff is very compassionate in what they do and kind and very caring. Let it be with the initial settling period, helping baby sleep, feeding and developmental activities. I find this place is really good and would recommend to parents for their kids.

She’s been at Purple Bees Day Nursery since baby room. Each room has been amazing and supportive. All staff are dedicated and professional. I would personally like to thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Management is approachable and accommodating. I can’t recommend this nursery highly enough.

From day one I had no hesitation in leaving my son at the nursery as he has speech delays due to Covid. We were worried about what to do and where we would find the best place for our little one, but the progress my little one has made in one and a half years has been incredible. From the amazing management to the teachers, every single member of staff at Purple Bees is incredibly friendly and very helpful. The great support we have received from everyone is beyond amazing, I can’t put it into words. I am very sad that my son is leaving the nursery this year. The way he has improved in his language communication and social behaviour is just amazing. I can’t write enough good things because Purple Bees is like family to us now. I would like to thank all the wonderful staff at Purple Bees from the bottom of my heart. Lots of love.

October 11, 2022 at 12:00 amWe have two children at Purple Bees and have recommended the nursery to our friends. The staff have been so supportive, especially over the last few years. Both our children are very happy there. Particularly with our eldest, the nursery has gone above and beyond to make sure his needs are met and that he is supported. Communication from the nursery has always been great and was especially good during the lockdowns. The nursery has a very friendly, family feel to it and we love that some of the same staff members have looked after both of our children.

October 18, 2022 at 12:00 amI was looking for a nursery for my second child so I could return to work, and having placed my older child in nursery before, I thought I knew exactly what to expect. Purple Bees surpassed my expectations in so many ways that I hadn’t even given thought to. My little one settled pretty much instantly, the team ensure the children are eating well with backup options in place, sleeping happily even if the usual ‘at-home’ nuances aren’t sticking, and there is plenty of engaging play. The staff are honestly among the loveliest people I have met. I felt blessed to find them at a time when I actually needed support myself as a newly single mother – they did not just act as a simple daycare for my little one, but a genuinely caring support for my family and welcomed us in a way I have never seen a nursery do so before. They have been a godsend in all respects, and I couldn’t recommend them enough to anyone who has the slightest worries about their little ones joining their first nursery.

The staff are incredible, so supportive and genuinely care about each and every child in their care. They go above and beyond to make sure that everyone feels valued and included. The manager is always available to answer any questions or concerns I have, and she goes out of her way to make sure that everything runs smoothly. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, and activities are always engaging and stimulating. I’m particularly impressed with the nutritious food that is provided. The meals are always well-balanced and include a variety of healthy options. As a parent, it’s comforting to know that my children are in such good hands. They are so looking forward to going to the nursery every morning which is so reassuring. I highly recommend Purple Bees to anyone looking for a caring and supportive environment for their little ones.

As you can imagine, leaving your children at the nursery when they were at this age could have been something where you needed to be 100 % sure they were in safe hands. Purple Bees Nursery has given me complete peace of mind, knowing that my babies are getting absolute care, supporting what they need most, and finding happiness through their early years of learning life. Not only does it feel like a home from home but the staff genuinely care about the development of each and every child. I consider myself well-read and passionate with regard to early years development and honestly feel that Purple Bees ticks all boxes. In addition, we love having the up to date minute to minute information about what they are up to in their day. We also love the fantastic nutritious meals.
