April 25, 2022 at 12:00 amFrom the moment I stepped into Orchidale to look around, I knew this was the nursery I wanted my daughter to go to. There is so much for the children to do and explore, and the staff are so caring and nurturing with the children. I love receiving the regular updates on the app to see what my daughter has been doing, and at pick up, you are told about their day, what they have eaten, been doing, etc.
They take the children on little trips to the local garden centre, forest school, etc.
My daughter has been going to Orchidale for over 2-years now and loves it. I honestly can’t recommend this nursery enough.

April 25, 2022 at 12:00 amMy little boy loves nursery and is currently in the 0-2 room.
He took a little while to settle in but they were brilliant with him and he’s attached at the hip with his key carer. He loves her!
He’s so happy he now waves me goodbye every morning as I hand him over. And the fussy little eater at home loves his nursery lunches, often eating more there than he ever would at home.

April 27, 2022 at 12:00 amwe highly recommend Orchidale Children’s Nursery for meeting all your children’s needs, We spent a long time researching/viewing different local nurseries and this one came way above everywhere else for what we were looking for. It was really important to us that we were able to settle our boys in gently so they were able to build relationships with key staff which made for a smooth transition into starting nursery. We love the safe, calm, caring environment that Orchidale offers. I feel so comfortable and could see my boys happy there. I’ve always experienced excellent communication with the manager who is extremely approachable, friendly and understanding of children’s and parents’ needs. We fully trust the staff who are attentive, nurturing and respectful to our boys. The high level of care the staff provide and their commitment is so evident. I love that the children have the chance to be so creative and learn through child lead play. The setting really does all the resources and opportunities you could want for your child! we are truly grateful for Orchidale Nursery and appreciate all the staff who care for our boys.

May 30, 2022 at 12:00 amThere is so much for the children to do at Orchidale Children’s Nursery both in free play and small group activities; which are innovative and creative. Our highlights were yoga, cooking, the forest school and my daughter being supported to overcome her fears when the minibeasts visited which she was very proud of. The nursery is very nurturing. Children receive a warm welcome on arrival. My daughter was new to childcare and though she seemed confident she needed more support to adjust than anticipated. Her key worker was very understanding. I felt all staff took the time to know my daughter as an individual and she had a good relationship with all staff. Her allergies were also managed brilliantly. Sadly, we had to leave Orchidale for a more local preschool, however, my daughter has adjusted very easily and I believe this is down to the amazing introduction to nursery care that she had at Orchidale.

June 7, 2022 at 12:00 amThe moment we stepped into Orchidale Children’s Nursery we knew it was the right place for our little one. The children were running around having an absolute blast. It was utter chaos but exactly what you want children to be, children. We had viewed nurseries before this one and it all felt regimental and sterile, making sure they were ready for school. Nothing wrong with that but it wasn’t for us. Orchidale gets them ready for life and teaches them so much more than just being classroom ready. As a first time mum, it was always going to be hard entrusting someone else with my baby but I have so much confidence in the staff in the 0-2s and especially mine’s key worker. She loves going to nursery and started to pick up so much just from being there. I will never stop raving about this place. It’s brilliant and if you don’t believe me, just go and look for yourselves.

October 6, 2022 at 12:00 amOur son was at Orchidale for almost three years from when he was two to five, and I couldn’t rate it highly enough. During that time he has been cared for and nurtured, and has grown enormously in confidence, which was our main reason for sending him. From the moment we looked round he was comfortable there – immediately going off and playing on our tour, something he didn’t do at any other setting we looked at with him.
The staff are friendly and approachable and were understanding and supportive when we asked them to help with challenges we had over the course of his time there.
He was so sad when the time came to leave and go to school, but the experience he had at Orchidale made sure that he was completely ready to go, and he has settled into school with no problem. I would recommend Orchidale to anyone without any hesitation.

October 17, 2022 at 12:00 amMy daughter started in June this year. She settled in so well, I regularly had updates about how she was getting on and the app is amazing. It’s lovely to see photos of her at nursery. She’s now been for 4 months as she loves it. So many different activities – cooking, woodwork, all sorts. And she is only 2! The staff are incredibly friendly and the children clearly love them. The meals she has are healthy and varied. The billing is easy and communication is excellent. So happy we chose Orchidale.

I can not thank the team enough for their support during that difficult time. My daughter enjoys her days at nursery and is always full of beans when I collect her.

March 13, 2023 at 12:00 amOverall, I’m happy all-round with this nursery, and I can’t fault any areas.
The outstanding Ofsted rating/report is truly deserved. My son is now in the toddler room, following being in the baby room since a year old. The opportunities for the children are fantastic, and the range of activities they do is also amazing. All the usual activities you would expect, but opportunities like woodwork (with real tools etc), the forest school, offsite trips and the cooking club make the experience for the children so much more. I’m always excited to hear what my son has done and can see how all the opportunities have helped his development. All the staff I’ve experienced have been lovely. Friendly, approachable, and best of all, brilliant with the children. The meals are a really good range of healthy and nutritious options, and the children sometimes have the opportunity to help make meals or cakes for desserts.

March 22, 2023 at 12:00 amI was struggling with the thought of taking my little boy to nursery and having to leave him for the first time, but I knew sending him to nursery would benefit him, and it would be good for him to socialise with little ones his age. My little boy loves the outside, so seeing the outside gardens and all the activities that they offer was perfect, and what can I say! Wow, I am shocked at the progress he has made since starting in early February, and that is down to the staff and especially his key worker; I have so much trust and confidence in the staff and am so pleased that I chose Orchidale as it seems to be working amazingly for my little boy. He loves going to nursery and has gradually become more and more comfortable and confident in going. He always comes out super happy, and his key worker explains what he’s been up to in the day and new things he discovered or achieved, which is really lovely to hear. I 100% recommend it.

March 28, 2023 at 12:00 amMy little boy started at Orchidale in September 2021. He was very attached to me and his dad, and being born during the pandemic meant he really only saw us and medical professionals for the first six months. I was, therefore, very nervous about him starting nursery, but I knew it would be good for his development. As soon as I met his key worker in the baby room, I felt at ease. He then moved up to the toddler room, and knowing it takes him time to feel comfortable around new people, I was nervous again, but his key worker and team in the toddler room soon put me at ease again. His key worker works with us and when needed, will adapt things to meet his needs. He has really thrived since being at Orchidale; he has grown so much in terms of his social skills and communication. He does so many activities; he loves being outside – one of the big reasons we chose orchidale was for the forest school.

March 30, 2023 at 12:00 amMy son attends Orchidale Nursery in the House Martins. I have nothing but praise for the nursery, the setting and the provision they provide. The staff go above and beyond to help my son, and he has a lovely key worker, who, along with the rest of the staff has put so much effort into supporting my son with his challenging eating. They have already made so much progress. He always feels like he is nurtured by the staff, and I have never met a member of the team who isn’t giving everything to the children. They provide some amazing experiences for the children visiting forest school, chopping down a Christmas tree and pumpkin picking to name but a few. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the nursery to anyone. My youngest will be attending Orchidale as soon as he’s ready despite it being 25 minutes each way for us. The facilities, ethos and staff far out way anything that can be offered anywhere else in Norwich.

The activities they carry out are varied and fun, and feedback from the staff is fantastic.
Our second child is booked to start in August this year.
We couldn’t be more pleased.

The facilities are great, beautifully and thoughtfully set out rooms and garden space, which provide great all-round learning through a play environment. The daily activities (both in the nursery and on trips out in the minibus) provided are fun and endlessly creative! The staff are a fantastic group of people, really enthusiastic, caring and communicative. Our daughter is flourishing at Orchidale, so for all of the reasons above, I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending it.

April 6, 2023 at 12:00 amWhen trying to find a nursery to transition our daughter too, it felt so overwhelming. The worry about making the right decision felt huge. I’m so glad we found Orchidale. They really are amazing.
My little one struggled to settle in at first, going from childminders with two other children to a bigger group, but the staff were so adaptable and supportive to help her progress and flourish at the pace that was right for her. I now get told off if I pick her up early, as she loves it so much.
The use of the app, parents’ evening and key workers are great for feeling in touch, and I love the updates we get.
One of mine and my daughter’s favourite things about Orchidale are the variety of enriching experiences she has; from forest school trips, cooking club, woodwork, library trips, the nursery pets, painting, visits from external companies and services, there is just always so much fun to be had.

April 6, 2023 at 12:00 amOrchidale is a brilliant nursery. All the staff are super helpful and kind and always have the children’s best interest at the forefront of what they are doing. The nursery is welcoming and fun for the kids.
Our child has been through all the rooms and is now in the House Martins; he loves going to nursery, learning, playing and making friends.
We can’t recommend this nursery highly enough – it’s superb.

I was always worried about my little one starting nursery; however, this is the best decision I ever made.
Having been shown around Orchidale, I had a fabulous feeling it would be perfect for her. From day one, my daughter has enjoyed herself profoundly, and this is thanks to the wonderful leaders caring for her and showing her lots of new skills, which she loves so much. My little girl always comes home with a big smile on her face, and this is such a wonderful feeling knowing she’s happy and content.
Thank you so much, Orchidale, for being so kind, compassionate and caring for my little girl because we are truly grateful for you all.
