Orchard House Nursery

I was recommended this by some other mums, based on their previous journey and I’m sure that it was once a excellent place, but it is no longer. I had a terrible journey there.
Every day my son cried on the way there and begged me not to go. Because I had to work, I sent him while I looked for another place. Every time I would pick him up he would be filthy, even though he had spare clothes. He would have his dummy even though I told them explicitly it was only for naps. I would be told by one worker that he had eaten all his lunch, then by another he hadn’t eaten a thing.
It was heartbreaking to see my son so unhappy.
Thankfully he only spent four weeks there before I took him out and put him in an infinitely better childcare centre down the road.
Orchard House is a no-frills childcare centre that offers basic care. Everything is in need of updating and refreshing. Personally, I would look for another place to put my kid. This childcare centre has potential to be a great childcare centre, but it is far from there yet!

Even on the days, he doesn’t attend he asks to go since attending Orchard House Childcare centre as he has become a lot more confident in himself as he used to be quite reserved. We consistently sense so welcome and are comfortable leaving him here. My kid loves attending the childcare centre he talks about it all the time at home and all of the team.

She absolutely loves it here and is consistently asking to go back. Team are attentive, welcoming, supportive and communicate well. The range of activities is great; the kids learn how to grow some fruit/veg; they make use of the proximity to the town centre and go on many walks. Also, we have a monthly home discovering booklet which includes a wide range of activities from reading, crafts and baking, as well as discovering about festivals/holidays, which as parents, enables us to carry on with the subjects/themes they are discovering at childcare centre. My daughter has attended Orchard House Childcare centre for the last six months, and I sense it was the best decision we made for her.

The team are highly welcoming and attentive. Both my kids enjoyed/delight in going there. There are lots of opportunities for the kids to develop and I sense confident and cheerful with the care my kids received/receives. I have used this childcare centre for the past 5 years, it is a truly lovely childcare centre.

The manager and her team have really created a family setting where kids thrive. From preparing my oldest to start big school to ensuring my baby feels secure and cheerful. My youngest son worships the ground his keyworker walks on! One of the best decisions we made was becoming part of the (then Lollipops) now Orchard House family! I have sent both of my boys to Orchard House and cannot suggest highly enough!

The team are welcoming and the childcare centre keeps you up to date with all news via email and notifications around the setting.
All the kids seem cheerful and engaged when I drop off and collect my little girl. I can see all the lovely activities all the kids take part in with pictures and artwork displayed around the setting which is lovely.
We attended a fantastic Easter bonnet parade and it’s perfect being able to join in and engage with the owner and team who take excellent pride in their work and the kids. Couldn’t ask for more! My little girl has settled in truly well.

I would highly suggest it. The team are very welcoming, polite and expert. My son is consistently talking about how enjoyable they are as well.
When he first started there he was very very shy, all the team have helped build his self‑assurance through interactive playtime and discovering.
I have never in the two years had any issues or concerns with the childcare centre but I’m sure if I did they would be dealt with straight away.
I have consistently felt that my son is secure and cheerful here, so much so my daughter (baby) will also be attending soon.

The team are consistently approachable and welcoming. We have been especially impressed with how accommodating the team have been regarding my son’s dairy allergy. We get regular updates regarding what the kids are discovering and sense that we can consistently contact someone if we need to. Our journey continues to be positive and we are assured that our son is in the best care. Would definitely suggest. My son has been going to Orchard House Nursey for almost two years and loves it.

My son loves his time at childcare centre, the team have attention to detail and the kids consistently seem so cheerful in the secure and attentive setting provided.

It has been a joy and comfort to see him running into the front door and flourish, knowing that his day has been filled with enjoyable activities and yummy food!

A lot of the team have been at Orchard House for years, and are remarkable with babies and older kids. My daughter (who left for school last year) formed close bonds with the team and other kids and was consistently cheerful and excited to be going to childcare centre. My son is in the baby room and settled in very quickly due to the loving setting. He is consistently extremely cheerful and contented when I pick him up. I have sent both my kids to Orchard House and I can’t suggest it enough.

They both adore their journey here, and if they ever had a hard time saying goodbye to us, the extremely loving team would ensure to give them lots of cuddles and special attention. I adore the fact that I can see what my kids are doing on a daily basis through their online portal. The childcare centre provides lots of opportunities to take part in hands on/sensory activities. They accommodate our food needs, and overall my kids are cheerful. I only wish they had a bigger outdoor space. I have sent both my kids here (one graduated two years ago, my other son currently attends).

Sadly our time is coming to an end but we could not suggest it highly enough. The team of long serving dedicated team cherish each kid and make it a loving, nurturing setting. It is currently having a full refurb to make it even better. My family have used this childcare centre for four years for our two kids.

We could not be happier with our choice of childcare centre – from the baby unit leader and another team member in the baby room happily following our wishes around sleeping and weaning (and giving out lots of cuddles) to the deputy manager and another member of team working out creative ways to stimulate toddlers in the childcare centre room (with day trips, cookery lessons and encouraging a adore of reading) and to prepare them for school. In fact, all of the team are just exceptional – without exception – and we are very grateful to them for everything they do for our kids (and the enthusiasm with which they do it), both of whom are extremely cheerful at Orchard House. The manager and the team at Orchard House are fantastic and have provided a loving, attentive, stimulating and family-like setting for my eldest kid for over three years and my youngest for the last six months.

He consistently comes home smiling. Team are consistently polite, supportive and welcoming. My son gets highly personal care, you can see his key workers truly look after him, not just tolerate him.

I would highly suggest this childcare centre. Team are remarkable with my son and he regularly runs in, arms up, asking to be picked up.

Team are extremely attentive and attentive, and put a huge amount of effort and imagination into developmental activities. Our son has come on leaps and bounds in his time here and has strong bonds with team and classmates. We have almost daily updates from his key worker, meals are prepared on site, and the kids have daily access to a large and well equipped garden (not so common in central London). The manager is fantastic, as are all the team in the baby room. Parents get regular updates via messaging services and the app. Our son has attended Orchard House since he was ten months old and we are very cheerful with the journey so far.

Team truly care about the kids and my daughter truly looks forward to attending. I was worried about her starting school but the childcare centre promotes strong links with all local schools and transitions are well supported. I’m looking forward to her graduating in July but we will be sad to leave. A truly lovely childcare centre.

She is now 9 months old and is thriving thanks to the care and work that the team at Orchard House Childcare centre baby room give her.
I sense cheerful leaving her in a morning and know that she is in secure hands while I go off to work.
The team are consistently approachable and I sense as though they are there for both the kid and the parents if need be. They have certainly given me some much-needed advice and assistance over the last few months
