Old Crofts Bank Nursery School

The staff are warm and caring. My child is always happy and clean at pick-up times. We like the food provided by the nursery. It is real food and nutritionally balanced, not just some sloppy vegetable stews. Also, the managers are great. They collect the children at the door most of the time and send them to their rooms, so the staff members in each room can focus on looking after the children in the room. Last but not the least, I like the community sense of the nursery because some of the staff members live in the neighbourhood and work in the nursery for many years.

Myself and my husband viewed six nurseries around our local area and this one by far stood out the most. When we went to look around the nursery we instantly fell in love with this one, it has a lovely, warm and home from home feeling. Due to lockdown our little boy who was then, just turning one had only had one to one time with us both, so I was really worried he may be affected and would really struggle settling in. Don’t get me wrong, we had a few tears at drop off the first few times but within a few days he was literally jumping into the arms of whoever opened the door. The daily log is fantastic, it is very detailed, so at the end of each day after collection you can see exactly what they have been doing, what activities they have done, what they have eaten and how much. They also include nap times along with pictures, its fantastic. I would highly recommend this nursery, nothing is too much, it feels safe and all of the staff are lovely.

We are so happy we picked Old Crofts Bank Nursery for our daughter to attend. I was very anxious about her settling in as she has had limited exposure to other adults and babies due to the pandemic. The team there have been absolutely amazing at supporting both my daughter and myself.

Brilliant nursery my first son attended in 2016, my second son in 2021. The staff are fantastic, very warm and welcoming. My second son was only 3 months old when he started I was very nervous, but the staff made me feel very at ease and he absolutely loves them all.

I had been looking at different nurseries since last year for my son. I was recommended Old Crofts Bank Nursery by a friend. My child was immediately comfortable and content. Staff are absolutely amazing with him and myself, if you ever need anything they are there to help in any way they can straight away.

Our experience at the nursery has always been positive. Our first child has developed so well there that we had no issues sending our second child there. The staff are so friendly and approachable I feel safe in the knowledge that my children will be well looked after.

We are really happy with the quality of care provided at Old Crofts Bank. We looked at multiple nurseries before choosing and this was the only one that had comments about and felt like a home from home. The staff are approachable and have fantastic relationships with the children. Our son absolutely loves nursery and often doesn’t want to leave at the end of the day! I couldn’t recommend them enough.

My daughter started at one years old and her development has amazed us both. She is learning new things all the time. The staff are great, very nurturing. Great environment for babies, toddlers and kids. Highly recommended!

My daughter started nursery in a pandemic, June 2021 – I was very anxious about my child’s safety and health.
The manager was very reassuring and allowed us to have a look around the nurser after hours. Their kindness and care for my daughter is excellent. The carers at Old Crofts Bank Day Nursery & Pre-school are genuinely happy to look after the babies/children. The specialist care, advice and support for parents. The staff have patience, time and willingness to provide a safe learning environment for my child. I did have a few issues in the pandemic/Covid- but all is better and there have been no closures. The staff/manager are fabulous.

Feeling emotional today as I drop my grandson off for the last time at Old Crofts Bank Day Nursery. Why did we choose this nursery? It has maintained a good reputation in the area over many years. Despite the anxiety around starting a child during a lockdown, we felt reassured by the consistently calm, warm, and friendly staff. I can honestly say they have smiled through what must have been the most challenging of times. There are some excellent practitioners at Old Crofts Bank. They provide a stimulating environment both inside and outdoors, the food is tasty, and child safety is paramount. The e log provides a fascinating and reassuring glimpse into your little ones day. They have gone above and beyond to meet the additional needs of our grandson, and we will be forever grateful for this. Thanks to their endless patience, flexibility and empathy, he has made excellent progress with them and they have been the first vital step in his educational journey.
