September 4, 2024 at 3:32 amBarlborough Hall childcare centre is an exceptionally nurturing setting, I have seen both my kids grow in self‑assurance and have a real interest in discovering. I moved both of my kids to the childcare centre as soon as they were old enough as I did not want to leave it too long. They were both in a great childcare centre before and we were cheerful, but Barlborough offers more and the transition to school was seamless and my son is flourishing. My daughter really enjoys swimming and having lessons twice a week has really made a difference. One of the main plus points for me is the flexibility with timings, my wife and I work long hours and being able to drop the kids off early and pick them up to 6pm really makes a difference. My son was in the childcare centre and has now progressed to Pre-Prep, my daughter is currently in the childcare centre.

September 30, 2024 at 7:17 amIt was an easy choice for us to put our two boys through childcare centre. The team are remarkable and could not do enough for the kids (and the parents!) on and ongoing basis. As parents, we have had so much assistance from the childcare centre team. The level of care and attention given to the kids is stellar as are the facilities and the surroundings. Our kids adore and have loved going to childcare centre every day. Their development in all aspects of little life is excellent to see and a reflection of their time at childcare centre. Having our daughter join Barlborough a few years ago, we could see how excellent the school childcare centre was instantly.

October 14, 2024 at 6:09 pmDue to the close care and attention that she has received from the childcare centre team, she has really grown in self‑assurance both personally and educationally. We have found there to be slightly more structure in terms of discovering here, compared with other nurseries. Lastly, I would say that the childcare centre really has prepared our daughter for a smooth transition into her first year at the school proper. We couldn’t be happier! Our Daughter has been extremely cheerful at Barlborough Hall School childcare centre.

October 31, 2024 at 11:29 amShe absolutely loves joining the breakfast club each morning with her older brother who is in the school. The twice-weekly swimming lessons as part of the childcare centre sessions have been a huge bonus and have saved me quite a lot of money as I’m not having to do private lessons now.
The grounds of the childcare centre are remarkable and I really adore how much she is outside, even when the weather is poor. In fact, welly walks are often the highlight of her week. The team are fantastic and I know that I am leaving my little girl in very secure hands whilst I’m at work. I would suggest the childcare centre and in fact the school to any mums and dads who are looking for the best place for their kid. Since my little girl joined the childcare centre at Barlborough Hall in January 2016 I can honestly say she has really blossomed into the confident, cheerful and cheeky girl she is.

November 2, 2024 at 6:23 amThe kids have a lovely timetable where they learn everything from phonics to French, baking and welly walks. Our son learnt so much, so quickly in their attentive setting, and thrived on the more structured setting. The childcare centre team provide lots of feedback, and are remarkable at helping with toilet training, behaviour and preparing your kid to start school. They have excellent outdoor access, with a lovely playground and the opportunity to explore the vast green space around the school. My son participated in lots of forest school events and outdoor discovering during his time at childcare centre. His progression to school was easy because he was so well prepared by this childcare centre. The food at lunch is all prepared on the premises, and are healthy and varied. I have not known of any other childcare centre that offers swimming lessons to their kids. I cannot praise them highly enough! My son attended childcare centre here from 3 years old, until starting school.

January 2, 2025 at 11:12 amMy little girl has only been there a matter of weeks and now has taking steps to learn to write, count and recognises her own name. My little girl also goes swimming there and has built us that much self‑assurance she can swim alone with arm bands, she used to cling to my side before starting here. All team are remarkable and provide outstanding care and assistance. Highly suggest. remarkable childcare centre provision.

March 13, 2025 at 5:37 pmWe couldn’t be happier with how she has come on. Whether you decide to move onto the school or not I can’t suggest it enough. Our daughter loved so many activities here from swimming, baking and the wellie walks!! Every day she came out full of stories. The team at the childcare centre are so attentive and show such a genuine interest in each kid. I found the childcare centre leads to be a excellent source of advice and assistance in the many twists and turns of parenting! When my eldest started at the school we moved our youngest into the childcare centre.

June 23, 2025 at 4:23 amWe could not be happier with how my eldest son has progressed in a short space of time. The childcare centre timetable given to parents following enrolment enables both parents and the toddlers to quickly get into the routine. There are a range of activities that they are involved in such as Wellie walks, baking and Ibox. They have swimming twice a week which helps parents to spend time with their kids over the weekends.
The ratio for pupils and educators is reasonably great. This allows educators to know their toddlers earlier on and promotes self‑assurance to the toddlers to develop further attachment relationships.
The childcare centre team is actively involved in all the activities including swimming which helps new starters to build their self‑assurance with familiar faces around them. The childcare centre team is exceptional and use an open door policy with parents to allow effective updates if there are any concerns to be discussed. What a lovely structured and organised childcare centre.
