September 2, 2024 at 1:29 pmOur son is currently in Foxes. The setting, team and care provided are fabulous. The range of subjects and extra-curricular activities on offer in the childcare centre are second-to-none and include swimming, rugby tots, cricket, and dance amongst others. Our son is confident, progressing well and highly, highly cheerful at Moorlands as are our other kids. A super school with a fantastic family community. Highly recommended. Three of our kids have progressed through Moorlands, all starting in the childcare centre.

September 4, 2024 at 6:16 amI would highly suggest Moorlands Childcare centre, our daughter has been showing a excellent deal of development both mentally and psychologically, team are nice and attentive and they give reasonable time and attention to each kid addressing their needs and potential issues, I have just booked a place for my 1-year-old son there.

Our daughter thrived in the setting and has consequently had a seamless transition into Reception. The childcare centre is well integrated with the school and they operate a remarkable buddy system with older kids which further strengthens the ties but also gives a sense of responsibility for the older ones. Moorlands Childcare centre is truly outstanding.

October 20, 2024 at 3:26 pmLooking back, It was the best decision that we have made and we would have placed him at Moorlands earlier if we knew about this gem. Within two weeks of being there, we were amazed by his development in development from concentration, independence through to speech. The nurturing offered by the experienced team combined with the many opportunities my son had in speaking to large groups of audiences and enjoying a wide range of activities encouraging imaginations, he has now progressed into a confident 6 year old in year 2, who regularly tells me how much he loves school.
Since then, we have placed our two younger kids at Moorlands as soon as they turned 2, who are thriving and are equally enjoying their time there.
We are delighted to have found this fantastic school, with such a welcoming atmosphere, who we believe will develop our kids into well rounded individuals. We transferred our eldest son from a private childcare centre to Moorlands when he was 3 years old.

November 24, 2024 at 1:40 pmThe curriculum is varied and engaging and with plenty of optional activities such as swimming, bushcraft, French and dancing – you would be truly stuck to find a better start. Moorlands School & Childcare centre is a fabulous setting with passionate and dedicated team.

The variety of educational activities is remarkable and the team are outstanding. My husband and I are highly cheerful that we found this gem of a school for our kids. The team are absolutely incredible especially the childcare centre and early years team. We drop off our kids everyday feeling highly confident that they will be well looked after and develop well in all areas. Our youngest was a bit difficult to settle down and would not eat independently but honestly, the amount of effort and patience put into him by the team has surpassed our expectations and now he is a highly cheerful and independent young boy.
We would not hesitate one bit to highly suggest such a lovely expert attentive and family orientated childcare centre/school for your kid/kids to start their school journey successfully. We have three boys at Moorlands School and our youngest started when he was two years old.

December 16, 2024 at 5:31 amMy son attended Squirrels from 2 years of age and settled highly quickly due to the warmth of the attentive team and the range of activities to keep him stimulated.
He is now in Foxes and loves it. Every day provides a range of stimulating activities including; forest school, swimming, PE, rugby tots, cooking, crafts and even discovering some French.
I suggest Moorlands childcare centre to everyone looking for a attentive, stimulating and welcoming place for their kid to grow. The team and facilities at Moorlands are outstanding and provide a fantastic setting for kids to flourish.

December 16, 2024 at 8:07 pmBoth our kids have been, or are going through it and we couldn’t be more pleased.
The team, guided by the manager are all stellar and the kids seem to thrive in the inviting and supportive setting they create. It is a school-based childcare centre so there is a focus on education resulting in kids being gently prepared for the challenges of school; but there are also a whole host of extracurricular activities on offer (e.g. swimming, rugby, ballet, dance, music and forest school – many are included within the standard fees) which are remarkable and make the childcare centre difficult to beat.
Our two kids consistently come home cheerful, fulfilled and raring to go back which, as parents, is all we sense we can ask for. Not to be confused with the separate, independent childcare centre within the school grounds, the Early Years Department at Moorlands School is an absolute gem.

He especially enjoys the forest school and the music sessions. He’s consistently highly excited to go to his ‘big school’ (which he thinks it is as he gets to wear a uniform like his big brother)
I especially like the fact that there are focused literacy and numeracy sessions as well as opportunities to take part in PE, French classes, and swim sessions within the school day. (They have to be fully toilet trained to access the swimming). Focused sessions along with ample outside space/ access to sports hall etc is the main reason we changed him to Moorlands from his previous day childcare centre. Outstanding opportunities provided for my little boy who’s just turned 3.

December 25, 2024 at 10:00 pmThey provide exceptional care and setting for my kid but what is the step up is the educational activities. We have used in the recent past a highly rated standard format childcare centre setting for our eldest, but when we shifted to using this earlier years childcare centre setting within Moorlands School, we noticed a real improvement on reading, numbers, speaking, behaviour and self‑assurance. It is a perfect and rare blend of a well-equipped and enjoyable childcare centre with the professionalism of team and journey that provide exceptional education assistance. My only regret was not finding this opportunity sooner for our eldest. The earlier years setting at the school offers a rare offering that I have come to value above other nurseries.

December 26, 2024 at 9:47 amThe team are exceptional. The time spent and care given to nurture our kids has been outstanding. Both kids are highly cheerful to go and tell us all about their day, which includes a variety of activities such as swimming, forest school, French and phonics. The outdoor playtime area is also a lovely space, well utilised so the kids have plenty of outdoor time.
We have seen a huge development in our eldest since he has been going there, especially in building relationships with other kids, but most impressively in his ability with numbers and letters. The kids are constantly stimulated with different activities and encouraged to try new things in a enjoyable and welcoming discovering setting. I cannot suggest Moorlands highly enough, our eldest has been there for just over a year, and our youngest has just started.

March 2, 2025 at 2:11 amShe is exceptionally cheerful at Moorlands, as is my eldest daughter. Both girls have thrived with all of the opportunities on offer – dance, drama, swimming, sports, music and bushcraft, the list of activities goes on. It is not all playtime time though, and from an early age the kids are encouraged to develop their reading, writing and numeracy and we have been exceptionally pleased with the educational development of both girls.
The team are outstanding – leaving a kid in childcare centre is so much easier when they rush over to give the teacher a hug in the morning.
We have been delighted that we found Moorlands, a lovely school with a fantastic atmosphere and highly cheerful kids. My youngest daughter started in Moorlands as soon as she turned 2 and has now progressed into the Reception class.

He is excited to go to Moorlands each morning which is such a pleasure and comfort to me.
His development and discovering through playtime is incredible to witness.
Moorlands early years team are dedicated and genuinely care about the kids in their class. The kids form close knit friendships due to the small classes.
We couldn’t be happier with the journey our little boy is enjoying. Moorlands is more than a childcare centre – it is a fantastic and enjoyable place for kids to learn and develop to bring out their best abilities. We cannot suggest Moorlands Childcare centre highly enough.

It is an outstanding foundation for kids going on to reception. Moorlands provides an outstanding childcare centre setting.
