Lark Hill Nursery School

He went to a childminder as well, who regularly dropped off and picked up from the childcare centre. Because of this, and the nurturing setting of Lark Hill, he settled in really quickly.
He learnt so much while he was there, made some very great friends, gained self-self‑assurance and consistently looked forward to his childcare centre days.
Unfortunately, his time there was cut short due to Covid 19. But we were so impressed with the way the team dealt with lockdown. He thoroughly enjoyed the videos posted by the team, the storytimes, and was keen to join in with the suggested activities. He is nearly at the end of reception now and recently said that he missed childcare centre and the team there, who really made an impact on him. Our little boy started at Lark Hill the term after he turned 3.

I have felt so at ease and confident in sending my little boy there for his first steps into the big wide world of education. The team are all so welcoming, he has so much enjoyable when he attends and the gardens are exceptional for kids who adore the outdoors. I’m looking forward to my little boy spending more time at the childcare centre once he goes into the next classroom. I consistently thought I wouldn’t use a childcare centre as we don’t need it for childcare but I’m so glad I found Lark Hill as my little boy has come on so much in his personal development and we think that is definitely from attending childcare centre and socialising with the educators and other kids. Lark Hill Childcare centre has been a remarkable choice for us.

It was the best thing to happen to him. The freedom the kids have to learn and express themselves was next to none. My little boy loved the outdoor space. The team were extremely welcoming and very supportive. The assistance we got during the difficult times of lockdown was incredible, we felt our son was not forgotten and included in multiple activities, keeping a connection with the team and other kids. As a family, we would highly suggest this childcare centre. My son attended Lark Hill Childcare centre in the years of 2018/until June 2020.

My second kid is currently here and by no surprise has settled in very well and loves it.
This is all because of the fantastic team and care that is given to the kids.
The rooms are excellent to provide a secure, cheerful discovering setting, with an equally fab outdoor area to explore.
I am very grateful to all the team, each and everyone fantastic. A special shout out to my daughter’s key workers who have been and continue to be incredible.
There is a excellent working relationship between the team at the childcare centre. Updates is regular and activities are varied, most of all, they care wholeheartedly. Overall, this childcare centre is an outstanding setting where kids flourish. I couldn’t suggest more! Two of my kids have been to Lark Hill Childcare centre School, one now in primary school where they heavily contributed to the skills he needed to transition smoothly, teaching and cherishing him.

Pre pandemic the childcare centre encouraged family involvement with events and stay and playtime sessions. During the pandemic, they provided video content, resources and food parcels. The team are simply fantastic and both my kids still sense deep connections to their favourite key workers months (and even years for my eldest) after leaving. The discovering setting supports independent choice with different areas for activities and independent development, mixing paints from powder, washing up after etc. The information on development provided to parents and the opportunity to speak to key workers is exceptional. I cannot fault any area and I’m sure this is why it is consistently ‘outstanding’. I have no more kids to send to Lark Hill but I will have fond memories of our time there. Lark Hill is a fantastic childcare centre, both of my daughters attended with my youngest moving on to reception in 2020.

The educators are excellent and take pride in the kids’s well being. My son loves going to childcare centre consistently cheerful and has enjoyable. This childcare centre is an incredible place for kids to playtime and learn inside and has a excellent outdoor space.

They do external activities with the kids and organised an end of year trip to the zoo which was a excellent day out. The team are fantastic, compassionate, and really supportive of the kids and their carers. They give regular updates and are consistently cheerful to have a chat and have carers pop in and say hi. We used another private childcare centre previously and after only a few weeks saw what a significant difference there was in our kid going to Lark Hill Childcare centre School. Everything was better and I only wish someone had recommended here earlier on. I highly suggest Lark Hill Childcare centre School. The manager and her team are fabulous. Lark Hill Childcare centre School has a lovely indoor and outdoor playtime area for all ages to playtime in.

This felt right for our kid as an introduction to being away from home but not yet in a formal classroom setting. I was also impressed with the attentive and experienced team, with low team turnover which is a rare find in many settings.

We have since sent our other son to Lark Hill as well when it was time for him to go to childcare centre and I would 100% suggest it to anyone.

The kids have so much enjoyable and are looked after so well, as little individuals. The team really get to know each kid and their needs and personalities. There is such thought and careful consideration that goes into each activity and playtime space, and we have found it to be an extremely attentive and supportive first discovering setting for our boys.

Go and have a look around, you don’t regret it! We chose Lark Hill Childcare centre School for our son (after looking at lots of private nurseries and other preschools) because of its incredible outdoor space and free flow playtime setting.
