Kings Castle Montessori Nursery School

My daughter currently attends Kings, and my son did also until going to school last year, and both have had a really lovely experience. The nursery has been a wonderful environment for them to flourish and prepare them for school. My daughter particularly has enjoyed the opportunity to increase her independence with everyday tasks. The staff are kind, caring and compassionate to children as well as parents. Both my children were supported by their key workers, and during parents’ evening, it was lovely to hear how well they know my children and shared comprehensive updates on their developments and learning styles as well as the tailored activities they are supporting them with.
I couldn’t recommend this nursery enough; they have been nothing but fantastic. The nursery is led brilliantly by the manager and deputy, who take time to know and support all the children and parents.

There are so many elements that I love about Kings, however, my favourite has to be the care that the whole team take of my son. Since he started at Kings, the whole team have cared for him, encouraged, taught and made him feel very secure and happy! I think this is one of the most important factors of a nursery, knowing that not only is your child being developed in the best way but they are also totally cared for. I love my son’s nursery days because I feel so totally secure in the knowledge of where and who he is with. The other element of Kings Castle I love is the way in which my son has developed and grown in confidence. He comes home and plays nursery and pretends to be some of the teachers! It’s adorable. I also love the lodge and being an outdoors family, we have loved the knowledge that he now also has his days of outdoor learning which he loves! I could not recommend Kings Castle anymore! It’s just fantastic.

Bit of a rocky start with issues around illness and medication and a miss communication between staff and myself. But since that, all has gone really well and my son has really settled into nursery life and has such a fun time. I have noticed things he has been learning at school around dates, numbers and time, he has an awareness of this that is so advanced for a toddler. I have also noticed that he has been sounding out the ends of his words pronouncing the end syllables repeatedly and making the sounds.
Parent’s evening was a joy and I came away one very proud mama. The room staff are amazing and they know my little one so well I am so happy that he is supported and nurtured.

Kings Castle has been amazing at helping with the learning and development of our son and prior to this our daughter. All of the staff are thorough, professional and helpful and it amazes me how they remember all of the names and faces of not just the children but also the various family members that collect them! I am so pleased that we chose to send our children thereafter numerous recommendations from others!

The girls in the baby room are definitely one of the biggest parts of my little boy’s nursery journey. He loves each of them so much, the care they show towards him and the way his face lights up when he sees them, is so special. He is so happy and content around them and has learnt so much already in a short space of time! His physical development, especially by being able to explore the ramp and step and window steps. He loves to climb!

Lovely nursery my son has settled in very well, the staff are lovely and tell me about his day which he’s always doing different things every day. The outdoor space is great and he’s learnt so much since going and he’s only been there a short time.

We are very happy with the care our child receives and the support in achieving developmental milestones from the staff. We like the structured learning approach which we have found very beneficial towards our child’s development.

Our family journey will be coming to an end soon after 6 continuous years and we are really sad to say goodbye. Kings Castle Montessori Nursery School has been a huge and important part of our lives and both children have absolutely loved their time there and flourished. We feel so lucky to have found such a wonderful nursery, with loving staff, an amazing educational ethos and excellent facilities. The atmosphere at the nursery is always positive, with children happy and busy enjoying child led activities to support and encourage their independence and development. The lodge is an excellent addition to the nursery, where the children get to spend quality time exploring nature and spending time outdoors. It has definitely been the highlight of their week. I strongly believe both children were able to reach their full potential with the guidance and support from Kings and I thank everyone for all their care and attention to my children

Both our boys went to Kings Castle and our youngest is still there. The team are like an extended part of our family and their commitment to our children’s learning and development is exceptional and it’s done in a thoughtful way. The amazing team have such a caring mindset and they demonstrate this consistently. I love seeing how excited our son is to go to Kings and when we pick him up, he always has so much to share with us about his day. The teachers really make an effort to engage the kids and develop them in a very individualised way. The management is really committed to providing a safe, fun, and loving environment and we’re very thankful to all of the team.

Kings Castle Montessori Nursery School goes above and beyond what is required for a nursery. Sadly, our journey is coming to an end after 7 years. Both my girls have attended Kings and have flourished, thrived and excelled under their love, care and guidance. I never had any worries about leaving them so young as the staff treated them like they were their own. It is clear they all love the children and would do anything for them. Kings Lodge has opened which has made the Kings experience more amazing. It brings together the Montessori element with forest school and my youngest is always so excited for her Lodge day. When the children get into the preschool, the adults are amazing at preparing them for their school journey with the use of the upstairs classroom. This was shown on our recent transition to school when all the children happily ran into their new setting, full of confidence. I have known the manager for 10 years-she is an exceptional manager: putting the children at the heart of everything. I highly recommended Kings Castle Montessori Nursery School!
