Hemsley House Nursery School

I couldn’t have felt more confident leaving my baby with a more attentive team of team and the correspondence at the baby unit was outstanding.
Now she is approaching school age and attends pre-school, she is absolutely thriving and comes home every day having learnt something new. The team at the preschool are nurturing and my daughter runs through the door without looking back every morning. They are consistently so quick to respond to emails and even during the pandemic we have been made to sense so welcome. My daughter loves the kitchen and I’ve consistently been so impressed with the food offering.
I am so pleased I chose Hemsley House for our family and will be sad when my daughter leaves for school after attending for 3 years! My daughter has attended Hemsley House Day Childcare centre & Pre-school since she was 1.

Although there were tears at drop-off for the first week or so, she quickly adapted to childcare centre life and is consistently cheerful and thriving when we pick her up. Updates is great with regular emails from management and I consistently get a speedy response with any questions or queries that I may have. They do a variety of engaging activities working on the kids’s development and make use of the outside space as much as possible. We get daily updates both verbally and on the app. The team are energetic, engaging and consistently smiling. Our daughter loves her key worker, who is incredible with her, making sure she is cheerful and secure whilst building her self‑assurance and encouraging her to reach new milestones. She’s excellent at communicating and working with us at all times. It really makes the whole childcare centre/working full time journey easier! We wouldn’t hesitate to suggest Hemsley House Day Childcare centre & Pre-school! When first looking around we loved the home from home sense and the way the team interacted with the kids.

My daughter went to both settings until she went to school, and now my son has been going for around a year. I adore the childcare centre. So many others I visited felt too clinical or impersonal. Since the second we stepped through the door it felt like a home away from home. The team are lovely, bubbly people. I can honestly never tell if they have had a bad day (though I’m sure it happens!) as they consistently have a smile on their faces. They have an outstanding framework for developments and keep in constant contact about a kid’s development. They are very reasonably priced, especially given the location. If I’ve ever had an issue (which is really rare), senior team and managers have consistently responded promptly and positively. I sense my kids are secure, cheerful and well looked after. I couldn’t suggest it more! I have been using Helmsley House Childcare centre and Pre-School for around 4 years now.

Team are very polite my kid cries every time he leaves me in the morning but consistently ends up with a smile on his face from the exceptional team.
He consistently comes home with pictures on his daily diary on the app and he consistently seems to be having enjoyable but also discovering different things at the same time.
The team consistently update us if he hasn’t eaten properly or hasn’t had all his bottles.
I’d highly suggest this childcare centre to anyone in need.

He has settled in very well with his childcare centre workers and they consistently greet him with big smiles. We get reports of how he’s been through the day and what particular activities they’ve been doing through the day. I would highly suggest Hemsley House Day Childcare centre & Pre-school. My son has loved going to the childcare centre.

We were heartbroken that he had to leave as the team have been so inviting, welcoming, and approachable since the first day we met them. They have been fantastic and I’ve seen my son grow in self‑assurance, and his skills and his talking have all come on greatly, in such a short amount of time.
The team seemed to very naturally and quickly build strong relationships with our son and he delighted in going to childcare centre, squealing excitedly at drop off for cuddles with them. As both his, and my, first journey of a childcare centre, I couldn’t have asked for a better foundation. He loved the team and they cared wonderfully for him.
Thank you for giving him a very positive journey away from home! Our son (now 17 months old) attended Hemsley House for four months before we moved house in December 2021 and had to change to a more local provider.

The team are fantastic, so nurturing and loving towards the kids and ensure that all kids’s individual needs are met. The childcare centre has been beyond supportive to us as a family during what has been a challenging time.
My daughter is incredibly cheerful at the childcare centre and they have helped her develop self‑assurance and updates skills allowing her to blossom into the cheerful young lady she is – thank you so much all at Hemsley House. My daughter has attended this childcare centre from 9 months old and is just starting her last year before starting school.

She has settled in well, enjoys childcare centre, has developed and made friends. Team at Hemsley House are attentive and expert and consistently cheerful to work with us to help reinforce whatever we are doing at home. Our daughter enjoys the large adventure garden and the freshly prepared food (which was a major draw for us). We would happily suggest Hemsley House to other parents/carers. Our daughter has attended Hemsley House since she was 10 months old.

My son enjoyed his time in the pre-school childcare centre for 15 hours per week for a year.
Glad he could be there during Covid times.
He made friends, I would definitely apply for my second kid as well to go to this childcare centre if I have one more younger kid.

We were apprehensive about putting her in childcare centre when I went back to work, and had a bad journey at a different childcare centre after attending settling in sessions and not being cheerful with the setting. We were lucky to find space still at Hemsley House, who accommodated us easily and put our minds at ease answering all the questions we had when enrolling our then 10 month old. They are cheerful to accommodate to our vegetarian diet, and the updates is excellent, consistently answering the phone if needed and giving us all the information on her day! More recently our daughter has been in a leg cast so cannot walk, the childcare centre team have all been fantastic and sympathetic to how frustrated she must sense not being able to move around the way she wants, so have put in extra care to make sure she is cheerful and enjoying her time at childcare centre. Highly suggest the childcare centre, in particular the baby room. This childcare centre is perfect for my daughter.
