Greenwood Nursery Twickenham

I can’t recommend Annie’s Nest highly enough. What a wonderful, loving environment, with an unmatched small-group, teacher-per-child ratio and a carefully considered, structured approach to learning and development, done in a really fun way. Everyone who works there is just lovely. This review sounds overly gushy, but that is because Annie’s Nest really is something special. So glad we found it, and very sad our daughter is leaving.

Annie’s Nest has been a wonderful experience for our family especially our son who loves it!!! It’s a shame we relocated but this nursery is simply the best. The staff are extremely kind and friendly. They always have happy, welcoming and smiling faces. They are very good with the children and my son always used to look forward to going to Annie’s, even wanted to go at the weekends!! My son developed immensely in the short time that he was there. From a really shy baby, he became very confident and suddenly he can’t stop talking. Thank you to all the staff at Annie’s, who are very dedicated and caring. Keep up the good work, I can’t praise you enough!!

Our son has been at Annie’s Nest for 1.5 years, and we can not recommend it highly enough. We looked at 4 nurseries in Twickenham but chose Annie’s. The staff are caring, friendly and genuinely love their jobs.
There is a much more favourable teacher-to-child ratio than offered at other nurseries we saw, and the extra attention has really helped in our son learning and enjoying the environment. We are amazed at what he learns every week!
Every day we receive an online ‘diary’ and pictures of what he did, and most importantly, the children are taken out for fresh air and to local playgrounds in Twickenham every day. Our son loves going to nursery so we are very happy with Annie’s Nest!

Annie’s Nest is simply amazing. Our daughter has such a brilliant time, learns so much and has made friends I hope she keeps for a very long time. The staff are super – their passion is incredible. Love, love, love Annie’s Nest!

My son has been attending Annie’s Nest since he was two. When he first joined the nursery, English was his second language. He is now a very confident, little English speaking chatterbox, who made many lovely friends at the nursery. He has had many memorable and fun days. The teachers and the management have been very caring and inspiring him with lots of creative and enjoyable activities. I couldn’t have asked for more!

My 3.5 year old daughter has been at Annie’s since her first birthday and she could not be happier!
She is excited to go every single day. The teachers are loving and caring and also teach the children a lot in a fun and thoughtful way with themed weeks every week.

The teachers truly care about and love their young charges, and that really differentiates Greenwood.
Unsurprisingly, our daughter’s development accelerated across the whole gamut since she joined the nursery. The teachers tailored their attention to meet each stage of her development, for example encouraging and supporting her progression to the potty, which is not easy!
They have so many excellent activities such as music time, yoga, pyjama drama (theatrical storytelling), tennis, ball sports, forest school, outings on the bus e.g. to a farm, picnics, etc.
It’s a great nursery which I would recommend unreservedly.

Our eldest son went to Greenwood Nursery (previously Annie’s) from age one to starting school and our daughter has similarly been going for over three years now, starts school this year, and was at the nursery when it changed from Annie’s to Greenwood.
All the reasons why we chose Annie’s in the first place: very enthusiastic and engaging staff, kids who obviously love going, lots of outdoor activity time in local playgrounds and by the river, continuous planned fun activities when inside (not just sitting around letting the kids play with toys) – are still very much evident in its Greenwood incarnation.
What has been added with the transition to Greenwood is fantastic – forest school at least once a week; sports activities with dedicated teachers and equipment; music sessions; dancing lessons; pyjama drama and intergenerational learning. Not to mention the nursery now offers cooked meals – very healthy with a proper cook who teaches the children occasionally. My daughter loves going and we’re jealous!

My daughter is currently at Greenwood Nursery (will be starting at school this September) and my son was here prior to starting school several years ago.
The ethos of the nursery is amazing, because there is no outdoor space at the nursery the staff take the children out every day to local parks. They have been on trips to central London, go to the local greengrocer to buy fruit for snack time and twice a week go to the local forest schools.
The staff are exceptional and you can clearly tell that teaching at nursery level is a career for them rather than just a job. At drop off and pick up you can see the relationship that my daughter (and son previously) have built with their teachers is so different (in a good way) to friend’s children at other nurseries.
I would have no reservations to recommending the nursery to others.

We have been part of the nursery for the past five years now and the experience has been amazing for both our boys! The staff have always been fantastic, kind, caring and dynamic with our children. The fact that there is no outdoor space at the nursery means that the children go outside every day to local parks, grocery shops, forest school and more, they love it! Greenwood Nursery offers a large set of activities which gives a great exposure to our kids to learn various themes of life. We can clearly see how our boys have evolved and gained confidence thanks to this amazing nursery.
