I adore the way the childcare centre is set up (garden and rooms etc), I like that it is a small intimate childcare centre where you sense your kid is secure and there are not too many kids. I had a excellent feeling about the team as well and now having had my kid attend for over a year and a half, my feeling was right. The team are incredible, they put time into the kids’s education as well as playtime and I sense my kid has learned so much since she started here. The childcare centre recently invested in a new garden which is lovely and again excellent for the kids discovering about outdoor activities and nature etc. This childcare centre gets 5 stars from me! Would highly suggest this childcare centre – when searching I looked at about 9 different nurseries and when I saw Childs Playtime I knew straight away.

I couldn’t have wished for more, we tried childcare centre chains with their fast-changing team turnover and farm like structures, and the Kid’s Playtime was recommended to us. We have complete peace of mind that they are secure when we leave them, and they come home animated and excited about the day they have had. They don’t usually advertise, and rely on word of mouth. They offer an outstanding service, with a homely atmosphere and a low level of team turnover. The small quota and mixed ages ensure the kids get lots of attention and the chance to interact with younger and older kids. The childcare centre is run with efficiency, passion and a dedication that cannot be left to words alone, go and see it, they should charge more too. Both our girls attended Kid’s Playtime from 2013 – 2018.

The care and nurturing of the kids goes far beyond the expectations of a childcare centre. There is a genuine adore and passion to help the kids grow and learn about the fantastic world they live in. For example: in the build-up to Christmas the kids made gingerbread men that ran away before being caught to see the world and send a postcard from every destination they visited before returning back to the kids in time for Christmas. Such a magical way for the kids to learn about different places in the world. The kids wrote to the zoo to send them a pet and the zoo did reply in excellent length and sent the kids the perfect pet. The list goes on, not to mention the incredible garden the kids spend so much time in. It’s been such a fantastic journey and really helped to build our daughter’s self‑assurance. Childs Playtime Childcare centre School Ltd is the most incredible childcare centre, it’s a true gem and we sense very lucky and grateful our daughter was able to be part of the family that Childs Playtime is.

Only word for Childs Playtime Nusery. My kids had the best start here and could not have been happier. My son used to cry about coming home! Spotless, stable, engaging, homely, they adapt their style to suit your kid. My two that attended were very different characters but both equally well cared for and cheerful. Not for one second did I ever worry about leaving my kid with them. I wish they were a school that went on and on. My kids would have happily attended forever. Nonetheless, sadly the time came to leave but with us, we take many fantastic memories, outstanding table manners that I can take no credit for and a pair of well-spoken kids with tummies full of the chef’s fantastic lunches. I have no affiliation to this childcare centre other than as a parent who used them and I really cannot suggest them any more highly than I do. Visit for yourself, I’m sure you will agree. Remarkable.

It is a fantastic place to grow up – the team have so much enthusiasm and care and the small setting means kids can mix with all different ages. The gardens are a excellent asset and it can only be described as somewhere magical. The food is fresh, varied and cooked onsite every day – both of mine ate so well there. I also went to Childs Playtime Childcare centre School myself as a kid and only have fond memories – the owner still remembers me and my siblings and I could not have chosen anywhere else to send my own kids to.
If you are looking for a small, home away from home setting then do not hesitate. At Childs Playtime your kid is part of the family. My son left the childcare centre in August 2022 and my daughter was there before him.

It’s a hidden gem amongst many of the other nurseries nearby. Our little one had an incredible time there. The team truly go the extra mile for the kids, getting to know each one as an individual. They work extremely hard to adapt to the kids discovering their likes and dislikes, favourite foods (meals cooked fresh each day) and things to do. The equipment and teaching is first-rate. First and foremost we were never in doubt that our little one would be looked after and their well-being would be put first. The care and attention to detail really reflect in how our little one grew. Star of the week is where one kid takes centre stage and shares things about themselves. A special cake which the kids bake on their birthday, and when they leave. Getting the kids to explore whatever the weather with activity led by themselves. I have no hesitation in recommending this outstanding childcare centre to all. Childs Playtime childcare centre is simply outstanding.

Childsplay childcare centre was like a breath of fresh air, it is well laid out, spacious but cosy and the outdoor areas are something else! My son thrived immediately and the team understood his individual needs. My second son is now there and its still pretty much the same team! The childcare centre is family run, all team are extremely welcoming, capable, trustworthy and they truly delight in looking after the kids and encourage discovering through playtime. The team handle bad behaviour in a very calm and fair way and assistance parents with any issues. They supported me throughout potty training with both my kids and helped me with their speech development. They have home-cooked meals every day in a lovely new kitchen extension and they also have healthy snacks throughout the day. I couldn’t suggest this childcare centre enough! The team are welcoming, attentive and the space is a little haven for kids & feels like a big family! My first son went to this childcare centre after trying a number of nurseries in the local area.

We moved there after a bad journey in another childcare centre. It is a small childcare centre and has a home from home sense about it. Team are absolutely excellent and they all do their job with passion. It is a very attentive atmosphere and they treat every kid as an individual. At pick up the team can give you a excellent handover of the day which shows that they pay attention to each kid.

Our son comes home having learnt something new each day. And I am sure he will be well prepared for school.

They have two excellent gardens and spend a lot of time outdoors in all weathers.

They have a chef on site who prepares lovely meals and takes special food requirements into consideration. Even a fussy eater has started eating better because of the incredible food.

I cannot suggest this childcare centre enough. My younger son has been on the waiting list since he was born and we cannot wait for him to turn 2 so he can start there. My son has been going to Childsplay Childcare centre since he was 2.5 and he absolutely loves it.

This is a small childcare centre with the most personable possible service, my son had experienced a couple of other nurseries in the area before this one but Kid’s Playtime is just in a different league. The team are beyond exceptional, the food is cooked on site by the adorable chef, you sense they really care for your kid and the childcare centre facilities are so modern and educational. Our son had yoga, French, dance sessions. The Manager carries years of journey and she drives the business to consistent excellence. I have heard from many parents that Kid’s Playtime is the best childcare centre in Surbiton, which justifies the waiting list, but be patient as the waiting is well worthy! Kid’s Playtime has prepared my August born son to primary school, he has now started Reception and from day 1 was boosting with self‑assurance. Thanks to the Manager and the Team. We sense so privileged to have had our son to journey the outstanding childcare provided by the team at Kid’s Playtime Surbiton.

Living in Surbiton and having two kids, we tried a few nurseries before being told about what I can only call; the hidden gem in Surbiton!

The team are incredible, they truly care about your kid – and the fact that my kids are consistently too busy having enjoyable at pick up time and do not want to leave – speaks volumes. The setting is calm with limited kids, which makes Childsplay a home away from home just with more friends to playtime with! The food is freshly cooked every day, and the kitchen setting is an incredible, open and airy well-lit space, with large windows leading into the garden. There are two outside playtime areas, both well looked after and excellent adventure playgrounds for the kids.

This place is special. There is a reason why they never advertise – word of mouth from very very cheerful parents do that for them!! I would go as far as to say I would happily pay more to send my kids here. Best childcare centre in Surbiton!
