Children 1st @ Clowne

My daughter absolutely loves coming to nursery. She was late starting due to Covid and was a very shy child who had not had much interaction with other children which caused me some concern. This was quickly made better by the nursery, she just came on and never looked back. The staff were so supportive and gave my daughter lots of encouragement. I have never met a nicer lot of staff, always there to help and always give reassurance and quickly resolve any queries, I can’t thank them enough. I would recommend this nursery to anyone and everyone thank you so much.

My son has been attending this nursery for almost fourteen months now and has just started his last year in early years. He is very shy and quite sensitive so dropping him off in the morning can prove quite tricky at times, not always, but the staff picked up on this straight away and have all been so caring and understanding at settling him in by offering him a cuddle and talking through the day’s activities on offer. Having said this, my son always comes home chatting away positively about his day, friends he’s played with and staff he has interacted with. I cannot praise the staff enough, they really are superstars. Friendly, approachable, caring, helpful, the list could go on. Nothing is too much trouble to them, information thoroughly documented and events well organised. I won’t hesitate to recommend this nursery and use it again for when my daughter is older.

What a fantastic nursery. Actually one of the best. All the staff are fabulous. The love they give to each child is amazing. My little girl loves going and gets excited each nursery day. It’s such a happy place.

My son loves going to nursery – he only goes one day a week – this is his regular booking and he gets so excited when I tell him it a nursery day. The staff are always so helpful and friendly and my son loves so many of the girls he has in his room. He has come on leaps and bounds with the girls and always hits his targets. We cannot thank the nursery enough for all they do for us and my son. We loved attempting the Christmas singalong it was brilliantly organised. It was lovely to see our son with his nursery friends and the staff as we only really see drop-off and collection.

This nursery is without a doubt a fantastic place to send your child! My niece has been attending this nursery for a while now and is in the Peter Rabbits room where there is a certain member of staff who is talked about so much at home! The staff are so lovely and the environment is so good, I’d love to play there myself and would recommend to anyone.

My daughter has been at the nursery for a few months now and I’m so happy with it so far! I was quite nervous about her going to nursery and leaving her but the staff really put my mind at ease and have made everything so much easier. I love reading about her day in the diary they provide and I couldn’t be happier with how she’s been getting on. All the staff I have met have been amazing and are so helpful too.

My daughter has been attending Children 1st for two years now and she has come along such a long way, she learns so many new things every day and comes home saying and doing new things all the time. The nursery have been so supportive with her especially when it came to potty training, getting her out of daytime naps and assisting with taking away her dummy. My daughter loves all her caregivers and comes home every day super happy. The nursery works hard to educate them, keep them happy and feed them with good nutrition which has helped at home a lot. The staff are amazing and so polite they are always a helping hand whenever we have any questions. I will be sad when she leaves in the summer but can be sure that she had had the kick start to her early years she needed. Couldn’t recommend the nursery enough, the garden area is amazing and they all love being outside!

Children 1st is an amazing nursery for all the children. The early years team did an outstanding job at the graduation play for the children leaving in September for school. I was so so so proud of my daughter, she smiled all the way through it, was so brave and shone through! Usually she is quite shy but clearly they have made an amazing star out of her! This is one example of the wonderful outstanding work they do there. I couldn’t pick out any particular nursery worker, because they are all amazing at their job and fantastic with all the children.
I will be so sad to see my daughter leaving, but I will look back on knowing we had chosen the best nursery in Derbyshire for her!

Lovely nursery with a really welcoming feel. The staff are excellent and form great bonds with the children – my daughter is extremely happy there. Good communication from nursery to home and I feel that my child is making great progress since her start date over a year ago.
