Children 1st @ Chesterfield Royal Hospital

The handovers are very thorough and all team have been lovely. She adores that they all do outside activities every day no matter the weather. She consistently has the best things to say about her days there and about the team that care for her. I can’t suggest this childcare centre enough! The compassion of the team and their level of care is simply outstanding. My daughter started at this childcare centre in April 2023 and while her updates was incredible prior to starting, she is coming home talking in much more complex sentences and talking me through her feelings etc.

We arrive at the childcare centre to the lovely smell of a member of team’s homemade food, it smells delicious. We walk in to see another team member who is welcoming and smiley.
Two other team members are around to greet us and ensure my little girl enters her room safely and happily.
In the afternoon when I collect, Im first greeted by a smiley cheerful little girl, who adores her keyworker who is welcoming and inviting and treats the kids like her own as do all the girls that work in the Babies and the toddler room! (Can’t comment on the Early years yet).
We adore this childcare centre the setting is lovely but the team are incredible! Justly perfect!

The team are consistently welcoming and welcoming, greeting him with a smile. I receive lots of updates about his development and what he has been up to, lovely photos on the app, and he consistently eats a fabulous range of healthy home-cooked meals when he is there. He loves his key worker, and I am not in the least bit nervous about him transitioning to the next room because the team are all just fantastic. He has recently started to point out shapes to me, which isn’t something we have started at home yet. His language has come on leaps and bounds recently, and the care and attention he receives is second to none. He has recently had a new baby brother, and team have done everything they can to help him with this new big change in his life, offering lots of extra cuddles and care. I would highly suggest this childcare centre to anyone! My son has been attending this childcare centre since he was 13 months old, and I really could not wish for a better childcare centre to care for him when I’m at work.

She adores both of the key workers she has had and all other team too. We were really quite anxious about her going to childcare centre for the first time, but she settled in straight away and we wouldn’t want her to be anywhere else. Our daughter has been at the childcare centre for nearly a year now and she absolutely loves it.

I would not send my kids anywhere else and trust the team implicitly. All team are incredible and could not rate them higher!
Despite us throwing challenges with allergies, cloth nappies, food, aversions, health problems and even emergency situations where emergency care was required for a seizure, team went above and beyond and I could not be more grateful.
Other nurseries are slightly cheaper but absolutely not worth the few pounds that you save in comparison with the care, attention and education that is given by management and the team. We have used the childcare centre since October 2018 across two kids.

From giving the childcare centre a call up until this day, they have been outstanding. Very informative throughout the whole sign-up process, supportive through settling in sessions and their first few days. Compared to our previous childcare centre, we are kept highly up to date with our kids’s development with online access to an app where development reviews are posted regularly, messaging system that is consistently answered promptly and options to book sickness and holidays. I cannot suggest this childcare centre enough. All the team have helped so much with our kids’s development and discovering and have come on so much. Their development is outstanding. Very spotless and expert. Our boys adore all the team. 100% suggest. Our boys have been at this childcare centre since April 2023 when kids 1st @ Chesterfield Royal Hospital came as a recommendation following the closure of our previous childcare centre.

Walking into childcare centre with a homely setting, greeted by my son’s key worker (who he adores) with open arms and a smiley face, being able to stay with him for a few hours over a couple of days really helped my nerves and was so lovely to see my son delight in every minute of his time at childcare centre. Now going full-time, three days a week, my son started getting giddy walking down the path towards the childcare centre gates. He absolutely adores his school, couldn’t ask for a better childcare centre for my boy to attend. Nothing is ever too much hassle and the office is consistently there to hand if you ever need to know anything or even just a cheeky check-up. Thank you so much kids 1st @ Chesterfield Royal Hospital. My son started childcare centre in May 2023 and on the morning of his first day, I can’t express how anxious I was to leave my 6-month-old baby for the very first time.

It’s a remarkable childcare centre and I would highly suggest it. All team are welcoming and expert. The facilities are bright, colourful and spotless. The outdoor space is also excellent. There are lots of events/dress-up days that happen across the year. It’s a exceptional childcare centre all around. My son has been coming to this childcare centre since 2020.

She is now 4 and will be leaving soon. The team at the childcare centre have been absolutely exceptional. When working full time it is stressful leaving your kid with someone you do not know however all of her key workers throughout her time at the childcare centre have been outstanding and have had my complete trust. I have felt not just that my daughter’s needs were being met but that her workers actually really cared about her and created a fantastic bond. She has been very cheerful whilst attending the childcare centre and I truly believe that she has excelled in her development through attending this childcare centre. My daughter has attended this childcare centre since she was 9 months old.

The team are very welcoming and as a nervous parent, I was made to sense at ease straight away. I can walk away each morning knowing that my boy is looked after, cared for and in very secure hands with all team that work at kids 1st.
The childcare centre is very spotless and activities set out for the kids look very inviting with different activities available each day I know my kid will not be bored and is being challenged so he can learn new skills. My kid’s development has come along amazingly since starting in January and believe this is down to the help of the team here. I could not suggest this childcare centre enough.
